The header/manifold is important on all cars, and the whole thing is important on turbo cars (bigger and shorter is better), but just a catback or muffler or tip won't change anything but the sound.
depends on what you mean by "different"
on its own, not that much, but it is a supporting part that allows other parts of the engine to work more efficiently or at a higher capacity. A larger exhaust literally means you can support more exhaust flow without creating too much backflow. Now, backflow is a nuanced thing but generally a turbo car wants none while an n/a car can handle and in fact benefit from a little bit. I digress - more shitting means more eating, which means more digesting which means more power in the ultimate super retard terms.

Makes me wish I didn't get a Fiesta ST. I love it but
200hp < 210hp
1.6 turbo < 1.8 supercharged
Less weight
3 doors
Toyota reliability
Probably less torque but the ST has way more torque than FWD can use
When will Honda end Acura like Toyota did with Scion?
A fully loaded Honda is not only cheaper but has more features and much more reliable than it's Acura counter part.
They won't. Acura is supposed to be a luxury brand, so compare it to Lexus not Scion and the point of Acura and Lexus has always been getting Toyota or Honda with a better interior and maybe a better engine
rip 3rd gen TL
When has Acura ever been relevant?
I don't much care if I live or die, and I have about 2500 dollars to put into another vehicle. Would a motorcycle be a good move for me?
I don't have my bike license and have never been on a motorcycle before.
>>16795756
>I don't much care if I live or die
Go for it. I'd love to buy a bike but I'm too afraid of killing myself (on behalf of people who care about me) or injuring myself enough to ruin my quality of life.
>>16795781
>talk about motorcycles
>"omg anon ur gun kill urself haha!"
to this day nothing triggers me more than a person saying you will kill yourself if you drive a motorcycle
yes, absolutely. motorcycles are not difficult at all to learn, cheap to buy and maintain, sure you have to pay a bit for gear but they're not as bad as most people make them out to be.
if you live in the US take your MSF and see if you like bikes. then when you want to buy one get a 250cc bike (if you like "sport bikes" get a cbr250r or a ninja 250, if you like cruisers get a rebel/nighthawk 250)
bikes are great, you won't regret getting one anon
What would you say is the maximum horsepower a front wheel drive car is capable of? A 900hp vw golf sounds nice but it won't get away from the starting line without spinning for 15minutes.
>>16794788
This 2012 Civic has 650ish horsepower at the front wheels and it's faster around a track than a 2016 Viper ACR.
>>16794788
300-350hp, anything more i want RWD or AWD
my girlfriend has a VW golf with the 1.8t engine swapped in, tuned, the works. ive driven it and once you get into boost and accelerate hard its uncomfortable. ive owned one FWD car in my life and wont again

http://dsportmag.com/the-cars/scion-tc-mixes-aerodynamics-and-horsepower-to-set-records/
that is while still being able to corner somewhat
for the high power fwd you have to go to drag racing and land speed records
one involves huge front tires and the other rarely ever involves having much traction
Getting a Mercedes c300 SE executive through work

In that case buy a $3k civic
Bike noob or whatever, couple quick questions. I’ll go more in depth later on in the post.
I had a new chain put on my 125 eliminator about 6 months ago and I gotta adjust it. I’m doing it on the sidestand, which isn’t supposed to be a problem as far as I can tell.
Do I need to pull out the cotter pin on the right side to loosen the axle nut or can I just loosen the axle nut on the other side?
I don’t get the chance to work on the bike much because I don’t really have the tools or money often enough. The last time I adjusted the chain was probably 3 or so years ago, then over the next 3 years various shit kept breaking on the bike and I couldn’t really ride it. I don’t really have the tools or memory to remember exactly how I did it last time.
All the tutorials I watch, they’re all mechanics so of course they know how to do their shit.
Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Oh.
Grab the car right in the E-brake and WANG DANG DANG DANG it.
Can someone explain logic behind safety regulations because i don't get it.I mean, you can buy a new bike that can go up to 200 mph higher and it has no airbags,no seat belts nothing,if you crash at the speed of 30 mph you are basically means meat, and they don't get regulated. What makes cars different?
>>16794126
crashing a motorcycle at speed basically involves killing yourselfand doing minimal damage so it's cheaper for insurance companies. hitting jamal and hi sheboon in the parking lot cost insurance companies money as the likelihood of getting surviving and being crippled is higher. they want you to walk away unharmed as writing off a vehicle is cheaper so now we have todays regulations.
it's part of the cager scheme to steal organs from people who are badass enough to ride on two wheels
>>16794126
Cars can be made safe(r), because their core design allows it. Motorbikes are almost impossible to work on when we talk about safety. Progress has been made in terms of electronic assistance, but that's all engineers can do.
So i've heard a lot of shit about Toyota's D-Cat engines and that i should buy the D4D . I'm looking at a 09 Auris with 2.2 D-Cat (177 hp) . Looks fast and i'm really considering it. The other option is a 09 Avensis with 2.2 D4D making 150 hp. I'll be driving it in the city mostly. What is your opining fagg/o/ts?
>>16793624
looks like crap, buy an 80s corolla like everyone else
>>16793630
That there is a meme car, my friend.
>>16793624
>I'll be driving it in the city mostly
The Auris is pretty fucking wide, my dude. These hatches have become more like boats than practical cars to be honest. But it all depends on how shitty your inner city is. The interior is nice but not very interesting. Just go used and get something nice. You deserve it.
What is this shit ? Seen in couple euro cars.
Mostly italian. Pic AlfaRomeo 147
Automatic toll both transmitter?
What? Anon that's the cap of the blinker fluid reservoir. I can't believe you don't know that.
I have fiat Bravo and it's also has the thing. it looks like you can attach piece of paper to it. Maybe it's for a parking tickets xD
Why has nothing beat it yet?

Lexus exist.
Beaten every year since 1989.

>>16792543
correct answers.
The LS400 definitely, later throughout the years they were competing quite well against each other with models down the line, but at the time of the LS400, Lexus completely destroyed all competitors.

So things I finally got around to pumping up the tires and air shocks today and like damn, that's made a massive difference in the handling. It changed the whole character of the bike.
