Convince me not to do something stupid /o/
>Dad wants truck for some reason
>Dad buys shit Auto 4wd Ranger
>Turns out he doesn't like the MPG or the ride quality (wow go figure)
>Bought sedan this week
>Will give me ranger for free IF I keep the ranger so he can haul shit around whenever
This truck is beat to shit. Honestly wish I was there to prevent him from buying it. Still, Free is Free so Imma take that. This will be my new daily
Would it be retarded to sell this shit Ranger and buy a Mint Manual Ranger off Craigslist for the same amount of cash?
I'm seeing a lot of good looking examples on CList but I feel like this would be retarded to do.
>>16802529
It sound like the obvious choice to get the better ranger OP.
>>16802529
Sell it and buy a real truck with more power and a better ride that's the same on gas.
>>16802637
suggestions? I know nothing about trucks
But my budget would be like $2000 maybe
Rangers are cheap as fuck tho so idk if Id even be able to sell my shit one for that much. Id hope the 4wd and auto would be the draws
What does brake fluid taste like?

Hi /o/, need some advice/opinions.
I don't lurk here much so I dont know the opinions on Tesla's but I wanted to get some input, insight and hate.
So I put my name and money down for a reservation on a model 3, as I can't afford a model S yet.
I've been trying to find out more info on it but I can't find any confirmed info on them (unless im retarded) and I really going back and forth about whether or not to keep my reso or not.
Reasons why I'm considering one to begin with. Being in Canada our gas prices are astronomical compared to the States and they are only going to get higher. I will also mostly be doing a lot of commuting and getting stuck in traffic. So I know i will be savings at least $250 a month in gas. Also there are rebates offered at about $5000-7000 depending on the vehicle you demolish in the process. Also looking at the other Tesla models it seems like it'll be up to date with technology, eco friendly, and lower maintenance (is this true for electric vehicles?)
Reasons why I'm thinking of back out: it will be a first gen/model of production so there is a lot of speculation that it's going to have kinks and problems. I might be better off to wait for a year or two so they can work them all out, given its going to be the first mass produced Tesla and they're going from a $100k price point down to a $35k, and making everything affordable is going to be hard. Also given our population there are not a lot of charging points for Tesla's so I might be fucked trying to keep it charged.
I'll miss having a gas burning monster but if I feel the need to really let loose, I'll have my bike for that.
Any thoughts or opinions would be awesome!
wouldn't you miss having all wheel drive in canada?
Not being able to drive as far as you want to in a country that big?
Do batteries need to be replaced?
They're supposed to go into mass production in July yet supposedly they haven't even created the final prototype. The first Model 3s will be shit just like the first few Model Ss were. Back out and wait a year
>>16802384
Ur batteries are gonna get fucked by the cold in the winter. I dont know how bad the range will be in -20 but its not gonna take you very far.
I feel like a child when I drive my car. What is a good upgrade from an STI that is a bit more mature?
Engine swapped Toyota.

A golf R32 perhaps? Or BMW 135i?

Hey /o/, I'm trying to decide if I want to get a used luxury car for a daily driver or if I should get a basic 40s-60s American car that will appreciate in value over the years rather than depreciate. Do you think the costs of owning an older car would be worse than owning a used BMW or Merc though? Like, in terms of maintenance or insurance. Also wondering if I would be too afraid to drive it for fear of getting hit by bad drivers; how do you guys feel when you drive your dream cars?
Pic-related, is $28k OBO. But I would probably prefer to get an Edsel or something else from the 50s since they have more chrome, or something from the 40s because they're cheaper and less in demand.
>>16801810
Fine on nice days but you won't like it in inclement weather.
You should also look into the insurance situation. If you just want something to be legal then that's easy. Trying to get it insured for loss too is another matter.

>Fine on nice days but you won't like it in inclement weather.
What do you mean? Like, rainy drives in the middle of thunderstorms or driving in blizzards?
>>16802078
Old cars tend to be shit when it's cold

Wat?
>overpriced for what it is
>advertised as perfect project car but actually makes it nearly impossible to up the HP without completely replacing the engine
>advertised as sports car while small FWDhatches of the same brand are faster
At least they could have thrown in an engine that lets you easily tinker with but I guess faggots still buy it like hot cake
But bro rocket bunnyyyyy
>>16801131
You forgot the part where it's slower in a straight line than a slowmobile with 45 fewer horsepowers.
Corolla GTS cost $12k in 1985 which is $27,082.42 in today's inflated bucks. Doesn't seem like a faster modern version of it is overpriced at $26k.
I'M A HATCHBACK BUT IM STILL ANGRYYYYYYYYY

Hey /o/, I've decided that I am going to drill some holes in my muffler so my MX-5 is louder. Is there any particular rule of thumb I should follow when doing this? Does it matter where I drill? I plan on doing it right on the muffler itself somewhere. Currently I am considering doing it from the bottom since that is the most easily accessible for me
Ricer
>>16800599
If you trace your muffler under the car you should find a box eventually, drill through the middle of that to get the best acoustic derision.
>>16800599
Just get a new exhaust you autistic fuck.
I always here that you shouldn't directly compare BMW, Mercedes and Audi's performance devisions because they don't design cars with the same philosophy.
First of all, I say fuck that. I'll compare what ever the fuck I want. Especially if they're priced similarly.
Secondly, how exactly are the three German performance divisions different, in terms of what they're trying to accomplish?
M > AMG > RS

>has never driven a manual transmission

You need to fuck right off and stay off of /o/. Your posts and opinions are without merit, and are therefore worthless. You only take up bandwidth and space. You don't belong here.
All of it or some?
Not that I give a shit. Come /o/ne, come all, don't be a fucking autist like OP.

If a single one applies to you, congratulations. You're the cancer of this board. I suggest closing your browser and staying off /o/ until you get your shit together.
