I unironically like ricers. I think its neat to see how people try and make an uncool car look cool.

I have recently moved to the other side of the country (California to Maine).
I drove a 2010 Honda Fit all through college, but now I can afford to buy a new car.
I feel very alone because everyone I have ever known is now very far away.
What is the most comfortable car one can have for under ten grand?

Careful. Lots of those probably have a massive amount of rust under them. We're pretty much fucked here. I'd suggest looking for stuff relatively newer in this state. Older cars have a tendency to be held together by bondo.

If you can do a little bit of work, get a Lincoln Town Car.
If you don't really feel like doing much work on your car, get the Lexus LS.
You're in maine so you might want to look into getting a good FWD or AWD car, but snow tires should be good enough.

I want a Miata and I found this one on Craigs list in my area, problem is it is modified so much and I feel like I might look like a jack ass driving it.

There is some minor flaws with the car. I won't lie about it as I don't car if I keep it or not. It will need one cv boot. Power steering has a very small leak. Has a crack in the windshield. The check is on for o2 prolly because the 2nd one isn't plugged in. I've changed the oil in this with amsoil every time. This thing won't die on me nor you. Motor was rebuilt in Colorado. I don't have the papers but you can come drive it. It's the healthiest I've ever driven. It says 211k on it but it had a ricer tach on it and I couldn't do it son Went and bought oem one. Any questions just give me a text. 5500 or those trades I mentioned

Why do cars not have a blinker to indicate that you want to go straightwards? This would make it a lot less confusing at intersections where you can go multiple different ways from one lane.

But then so are Europeans? they would actively avoid superior cars (like Lexus) if it didn't have an Audi or BMW badge. Maybe Americans being badge whores is a good thing (for euro manufacturers) because i don't know about Europe but in America you are raped with repair/maintenance bills so its better to just lease and dump before warranty is up. Lexus does not rip you off and you can keep your car for life with great luxury with the cost of ownership of a normal car and the sooner Americans realize that i see no reason Lexus wouldn't control the entire US Market but thanks to them being Badge-whores that means Beamuh, Audi, and Benz can exploit morons who believe excessively expensive parts = better parts.

just got my first new car /o/
incoming blog post
tl;dr hyundai seems to have done well with this car
i'm prepared to be roasted but eh, thought i'd share. don't see anytalk of the elantra sport on here, but it seems pretty well received by most auto journalists.
my initial impressions:
>nicely bolstered seats, comfy full leather interior
>good driving dynamics: mostly flat through cornering, good feedback through the steering wheel, haven't driven that hard yet to test understeer, not sure if i can be a judge of the independent rear suspension yet
>nice exhaust note that's not pumped through the cabin(kind of needs to be stated given recent trends..) has some nice snap crackle and pop, decent burble, and you can hear some nice induction noises from the turbo
>absolutely easy as fuck shifter and clutch
>progressive, predictable braking
>torque picks up and puts you back in your seat ~3k rpm, trails off after 5k-ish rpm (haven't tested much higher because its brand new), plenty of highway passing power
>android auto is very straightforward and works well
>lots more tech that i'm still getting used to
