/o/ get off your high horse and drive a reliable newer model Honda Civic.

I think you misunderstood.
You bought one and yet have not STFU, so please remedy that.

I own acreage.
It would cost more to pave my driveway than it did to build that apartment you're renting.
I'd have to park the civic next to the road and walk a mile to my house.
Whereas i can park a bronco/forester/Tacoma/jeep/ in my garage to unload grocery's.
Enjoy your plebian existence, I'll enjoy living.
>>17051745
But my older car is already paid off, regularly maintained, and fixed before shit broke so it's reliable af. Why should I go into debt for a slower, worse handling shitbox whose only advantage is being newer?

Objectively the worst thing to do to a car
>be learning how to drive a manual transmission
>almost have the grasp of hill starts but still occasionally roll a few inches
>be driving around
>asshole in little mazda pickup getting like 2 inches from my bumper
>make extra sure to have the clutch up far enough when I let go of the brake so I don't roll
>he honks at me for taking too long
>want to just roll into him for being an impatient faggot
Theoretically speaking, if I did roll into him how would the police know who was at fault? No skid marks and the damage would be limited to a cracked/scratched bumper cover which wouldn't say much. This is also one of those states that if you rear end someone, unless you can prove otherwise with hard evidence such as with a dash cam, you are automatically at fault.
What would be the difference, from the cops perspective, between getting rear ended and rolling a few inches or so into some tailgating faggot behind me?

Thoughts on videos such as these?

I can't get enough of them
and I also have watched hundreds of hours of motorcycle crash videos. I legitimately think I'm a more cautious, if not better rider because of it
I sort of want to buy a decent carb sync/tune tool sub-$80 (dollarydoos) and not a DIY tool solution
Should I even bother buying the tools or just let the shop do it? will my carbs need tuning that often?
My coworkers 2015 Jeep Patriot caught fire today delivering pizza. It has 15k on the odo, he bought it off the Chrysler dealership floor.
How does Chrysler still exist?

friend got me this , and amp. Audio jocks, do i really NEED a fuse and NEED a hi-low converter? How would i connect it to the wire that hooks up to the speaker in the back of the car?
>>17051355
Not an audiofagit but I know sum electrics.
>need a fuse
No. What for?
>need hi-low converter
If you're adding an amp, yeah. You wanna get those low voltage signals so your amp can boost them to the required levels of your new sub. Sending high voltage signals to an amp is a bad idea.
Take out stereo and add in the converter then attach RCA cables to it so you can connect your amp later. Put back your stereo and connect it to amp via RCA and then your speaker cables to the amp.
If it's just the sub and sub amp then you can splice into existing wires and not worry about rewiring the existing speakers to your amp.
Something like that, I'm sure the interwebs can do better than me in step by steps.
>>17051355
>do i really NEED a fuse
The fuse should be located as close to the power source tap as possible. It's there to protect the long power line from shorting out to something. There's still fucktons of people who install their own speaker box and put the power line fuse right at the amp due to convenience of installation.
>>17051355
if you don't have the fuse you have fires instead
>NEED a hi-low converter?
only if your amp does not have one built in
at some point why not just use sp dif
I'm not the greatest when it comes to listing off cars but can you folks recommend some sleepers or cars that are good tuning platforms that are around or below 16k?
Thanks
>>17050490
Grand prix gtp. Or just buy any slow looking car and turbo it
>>17050490
Malaise era Sedans are both cheap and have large engines and regularly go for less than 5 grand, but some dissassembly and reassembly required.
Newer would include Crown Vic, Pontiac G6/GTO, SHO
Can't go wrong with a $3000 Civic with a few simple mods
Hey /o/,
I have $15,000 to get a performance v6 coupe and prefer the mileage to be under 70k and the Year to be over 2010. I found a 2013 v6 premium stang in my price point.
Memes aside
>rental car
>girls car
>crowd devastator
>lolcantturn.jpg
What other car has over 305 hp, 0-60 in mid 5's, an LSD and looks as good as the 2013 stang in my criteria. (Over 2010, Low miles under 70k, v6/v8 coupe for 15,000)
(Honorable mentions to Camaro, Genesis coupe, 370z, bmw 335i)
And no I don't need a 5.0, don't want the gas or insurance bills. The v6 stang is fine, I don't need or want to get a shit box and put a 200mm turbo in it to go faster than a v6 stang, fast isn't everything.
Things I need to keep in mind for the v6 stang. Shit driveshaft, Shit tires stock, shitty plastic interior (doesnt bother me), bullshit 120 mph speed limiter.
Try to find one with the performance package, makes the car drive a lot better
Stick only
>>17050441
Toyobaru?
>>17050441
I'd go for the 335i if it is something you're already interested in.
When someone buys a V6 all it says is "I couldn't afford the V8".
Can you honestly tell yourself that if you bought a V6, you wouldn't regret not buying a V8?
ITT cars you hate
>>17049822
Has that car run into something or does the front genuinely look like that?
this thing is worse than an X6 - a more ugly X6 knockoff
My mother owns one.
That shit is a real fucking boat to steer.
Not to mention it needed engine swap at 100k miles.
Its slow and barely does 240 for a short period and shakes like a epileptic 80-year old when doing more than 200.
So basically I have a 300zx 50th AE and the head gasket blew out on me. So I have two choices, I could fix the stock vg30 and I could do it myself so not too expensive. Or I could do a vg33 swap because a guy I know has a vg33 that he's selling me for 250. What would you do /o/, Keep it stock or swap for higher displacement
>>17049686
swap is going to be a lot harder than replacing a headgasket
no matter what you do your stuck with a slow inefficient expensive old car that does NOT look good
>>17049686
If you want a project swap it, if you don't, or you need the car as a daily, just do the head gasket.
How is the e46 m3 a fictional vehicle??

>>17049391
Let me guess, you just bought a shitty fucking Laguna?
Sup /o/
Im tired of bringing my cars to the shitty car wash and want to start doing it myself.
Is pic related a good start or is there a cheaper solution to my lil problem.
Would I be better off buying stuff separately and possible saving $30 or $40 bucks?
>>17049325
What car do you have and what's condition of paint? Don't buy that, go on amazon and buy the following.
>wash mitt
>chemical guys 1 gallon of honeydew soap
>absorber XL drier
>microfiber cloths
>clay bar (removes gritt out of paint, make sure to lubricate with detailer)
>meguiars quick detailer (for clay in and removing baked on dirt and bugs)
>applicator pads
>meguiars compound
>meguiars polish
>chemical guys jet seal
Wash car thoroughly, Claybar with quick detailer or you'll swirl your shit up, compound, polish, sealant. If you do that keeping your car clean will be super easy. Just apply the sealant every three months by hand.
>>17049369
I have an 08 Honda civic and the paint is MEH. not exactly bad but not great either.
also have a Miata that was repainted probably about a year or two ago.
The previous owner did all the prep work so really the paint job came out really good for a MAACO paint job
the cars are both black.
Also thanks for the list. Do I need anything else?
>>17049418
Have you ever waxed a car before? Are they both swirled?
