I just posted in the old thread, but a bike this nice should be seen twice.
Hey /n/. Before I try to jump into an aviation career and get disappointed, I was wondering if my shitty eyes are anywhere close to the FAA's Class 1 vision requirements, and if I don't if there's anything I can do about it, like Lasik. I'm gonna have another checkup in a week, but here are my last exam's results, whatever the fuck they mean.
Spherical -3.50 and -2.50
Cylindrical -0.75 in both
Axis 020 and 013
I'm pretty sure that -3.50 is off limits, so I'm probably gonna have to get Lasik either way.
>>1011146
im not really and expert on things like this but im gonna answer anyway as nobody is doing.
I only know that for Lufthansa the limit is -3.00 and I think they dont accept lasered ones.
Also bump.

Have you seen anyone about a flight medical yet?
I've read somewhere that the only pilot career where they actually care about the status of your vision is military pilots.
Civic aviation doesn't care as long as you get it corrected with glasses/lenses and your sight is not getting worse every day
Pic related, I set one of my wallpapers to let you all know how much you fucking suck
Ride your 90s MTB off a cliff but first post your cockpit you pathetic worms
this is perfectly engineered to piss me off
not my, but i took it from another thread
I just baught a used bike, which is in a pretty decent condition except for one problem, which I didn't notice being a noob, the front derailleur is stuck in the second/middle gear. What I want to know is how bad is this given that the back works fine? I am aware that it could be a simple problem that can be fixed with cable change or slight adjustment of the derailleur, but worse case senario, what if I do need to change it how much is it going to cost, and is it urgent, can i just use my bicycle at middle gear and shift back gears higher for incline and lower for decline? I will incorporate the picture of my shimano derailleur system
A guy is selling me his "like new" 26" huffy mountain bike for bike 200$ to be honest im a complete noob when it to comes to bicycle and im wondering if im getting a nice deal , assuming that its like new as he says, or is he robbing me off
Don't do it, even "like-new" bicycles lose half of their market value as soon as they leave the store, and that bike was maybe only worth that or less brand new.... because it's a shiny piece of crap
The latter. You could get the same bike brand new at Walmart for half that, and with warranty. But you shouldn't get either as they're shitty bikes.
I was really close to buying this bike thank god sth happened and it got postponed but now im cancelling the whole thing
What does /n/ wear while cycling in cold weather?
>>1015702
Define cold weather.
>>1015702
Ski mask, ski helmet, winter boots with oxygen activated foot warmers. The rest is not that specific.
>>1015702
pretty much that but different brands, without the mask.
trouble is there's a fine line between keeping warm and over heating and often it's best to put with a bit of cold in beginning until the body temp warms up.
Is Keanu the god of /n/?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMB1EOnUwX8
>>1015651
He's Hapa
So of course he's a supreme gentleman
Yes, absolutely.
He also designed his own motorcycle with a friend, and I think it retails for $70k++.
I want to give Keanu a hug. No one notices him and Matrix is too old for him to be relevant.
Does anyone else here unicycle?
I learned how to by myself. I went to a bike shop to buy a new bike and saw a unicycle. I bought it out of interest and learned in about a month.
Unicycle thread, explain how you learned, and if you still unicycle.
>>1013388
Fuck off clown
>>1013414
that's fucking funny
Unis are fun
I haven't R ridden mine in a while tho
How do you recover from the emotional damage of a cycling accident, /n/?
By HTFU and getting back in the saddle
>>1007785
>talking to cashier at sandwich shop
>conversation leads to cycling
>says hes too traumatized to cycle after getting in terrible accident
>shows me scar on his face
the scar was fucking gnarly, i feel bad for him he was a total bro
>>1007785
It just takes time. Don't feel bad if you don't feel like riding right away. Take it easy and ease back into as you feel comfortable
Is it worth signing up to ubereats to deliver food a few nights a week?
>>1017486
try it and find out, dweebo.
>>1017486
report your findings
Probably not. If it's like regular Uber, then it will be a decent wage if they just move into town and a worse wage the more established they are.
You are classified as a contractor so The Company has an easier job cutting you loose when you fuck up, and less need to support you if something goes wrong on the job.
That said what else are you doing with that time. Free time, ability to ride a route you want, ability to apply to better positions are all costs of 'taking the job'. On the other hand, the hustle counts as being employed on your resume; work history gaps can ruin your prospects so badly.
thoughts on the trek fx2?

Excellent commuter bike.
Mediocre short hop commuter. Bad at everything else.
The weather in last two weeks dropped below 10°C and it's constantly raining, what the hell, I didn't expect such sudden change from sunny September. I want to go cycling outside.
HTFU
>>1016974
I can survive the temperature but the rain is just too much. I did YOLO the first day of this weather and ended 3 days laying in bed with a fever and really badly sore throat.
>people would steal your rusty iron bike with absolute no value for the sake of it
How did they manage to get the bicycle without breaking the chain is what is bugging me actually
I had to get back home on foot. On foot! Can you imagine such a pain?
How pedestrian
Maybe they opened the lock and left it back there as a reminder
What did you lock your bike to?
Alright /n/ most of us are cyclist here and I'm sure we've had our fair share of stories correlating to a bleeding ass wether it was you rode for too long and popped a vein, wiped to hard after a long ride or just don't have the right saddle I want you to share your experiences below. Ill start just started my training back up again and now that I'm riding more frequently I gotta remember to be less rough on wiping because at the moment my ass is bleeding slightly.
Stop being a faggot
Damn nigga use some fuckin wet wipes or clean your ass in a toilet if yo ass so fuckin sensitive
>>1016703
Wet wipes sounds like a good idea haha
They did it, the madmen

OMFG.. as if the odd idiot on an elliptical-on-wheels wasn't bad enough, there might be some retards wobbling down the road, unable to steer properly, on one of THESE things?
>>1016670
gas everyone who continues to produce these monsters. I'M TALKING TO YOU TREADMILL BIKE PEOPLE.
