I really doubt this. I'm sure it's the mental disorder with the most "studies" about it, i.e. drug companies running dozens of studies and then publishing those with the most favorable outcomes so they can push their drugs on people because SCIENCE!

Methamphetamines will make you write a lot but it will be turgid. It improves motivation and focus but at the cost of creativity. For example, see Sartre's Being and Nothingness (which he reportedly wrote while blitzed on meth and espresso).
