So we've all seen MACs torture test of the VP9 by now, which has got me wondering about HK as a whole. Firstly, I'm considering an HK P30sk or P2000sk as a carry gun, and the first thing I notice about these two pistols is that they can be easily had for under $700, similarly to the VP9. Is this lower price an indication of cuts in quality? Take the P30sk for example, in pictures the slide looks like it isn't finished to the same extent as a USP or even the P2000. So is HK quality dropping across the board, or is it still pretty good?

I carry a p2000 with an lem trigger and havent had any issues since i got it in 2008. The only problem ive had is that sometimes the slide wont lock back on the last shot because i inadvertently rest my thumb on the slide release.

VEPR thread.
Any of you guys have expirience shooting these?
Im under no illusion that it is going to be as cool as an SVD, or that its a dragunov (more like accuratized AK) but the idea of a decently accurate semi auto rifle in affordable 7.62x54r interests me. I cant find a lot about them in reviews. What do you guys think?

I can only speak for my since sold .308 model. It was a fine rifle, just not what I was looking for from a semi 308. With 54r you have limited options and the vepr is the newest design you can buy.

I like shooting 500 yard plus ranges.
Is it like "accurate for an ak" accurate or actually a decent long range weapon?
Cuz every review I read spends 3 paragraphs gushing about reliability and reciever quality then has like, 2 or 3 sentences about "oh yeah, and it was accurate at 100 meters."
I want it for long range plinking in a cheap caliber.

So I got into an argument with my sister about the US military lowering their standards to let women in, she denies it but I know I've read this somewhere before..

Just wondering if there is any sort of place in CC for practicing a subtle draw? I am all about practicing my speed, but it is pretty obvious what is about to happen, between pulling up my shirt and adjusting body position to go for my gun.

Tom Cruise's famous scene in Collateral comes to mind. Yes, obviously it's a movie, doesn't detract from his excellent draw stroke that is also very nondescript until the last moment.
Perhaps this is a stupid thread and question seeing as a few minutes of Google didn't really bring up much.
TLDR any tips on not telegraphing you're about to draw a gun when you're about to draw a gun would be appreciated
