>Bought an AK off of Atlantic Firearms
>Waiting for the rifle to come to my local ffl
> All I can think about is this gun
>Nervous something is going to happen/get stolen while shipping
What does /k/ do when waiting for a firearm to come through, how do you pass the time?
>>28100582
Shitpost, play video games, live life
>>28100582
vidya gaims
>Shipping companies
>fucking up a gun shipment
Doesn't work like that
Should I? It's only $150 over here.
>>28100546
Is it of good quality (i.e. Not a jamomatic, parts don't break easily, etc?
>>28100558
Fuck knows. It's surplus from the 50s.
>>28100546
Shit yes. Get two so you can dual-wield like Keanu Reeves.
sup /k/ommandos, what round is this?

THE PANIC BUYING HAS BEGUN
I'm at Cabela's picking up a gun I put on hold yesterday and for the first time since I've been in Washington, this place's parking lot is completely full.
There were 30+ people waiting at any time to have their number called at the gun counter, and the wait time after doing a 4473 is over an hour and a half, they're giving gift cards to people willing to come back another day.
Anyone else seeing this?
Any ideas on what to buy now to make a profit in a few weeks?
>>28100320
That just sounds like my local cabelas on any saturday.
>>28100320
Anything black with as many tacticool accessories on it as possible.
There isn't any panic-buying going on right now. Standard capacity mags are still in stock on every major site. You can still buy brass 5.56 for $.30/rd.
Sometimes NICS experiences technical difficulties and goes down or is super slow. That's all you were seeing.
Anyone have experience with one of these? Looks like it kicks the shit out of the sig braces, but all i can find on the internet is literally some neckless kak employee
>>28100303
why is it so fucking square?
>>28100317
I don't fucking know, maybe the ATF says rounded corners make it a buttstock. Or maybe they're afraid of an apple lawsuit. KAK shockwave brace btw
>>28100303
no personal experience but everyone that Ive talked to that have used both the sig brace and the shockwave (4 opinions total) have nothing bad to say about the shockwave, basically it is whatever you think looks better. Especially if you want to but the side saddle on it (although supposedly a legal grey area, I wouldnt worry about it too much though)
How to barricade a door during a shooting, is this for real?
How about instead of barricading a door you carry a firearm, I'm talking a Glock 17 gen 4 with a 33 round mag and a backup Glock in my sock...
Fuck barricading the door, I'd shut it yes, and then if it moved even an inch I'd dump 33 rounds of fmj right fucking through it. Then I'd reload in under 3 seconds and assess the threat further...
Any sign of further aggression or more shooters and I will clear room to room, 33 rounds of 9mm sized carnage...
I don't fucking miss.
>>28100197
cool
this is why retards shouldn't have access to firearms
It sure feels like summer in /k/ today
Is 9mm really a meme bullet? Is it a reliable choice to fend off a wild nigger?
>>28100003
It's ok, not as much stopping power as .45 though.
Whatever you buy spend time to get good with it, a 9mm to the vitals will be deadlier than a .44 mag to the extremities
>>28100003
its all about shot placement in the end
anything is better than nothing
even a pocket rocket in 22lr will give you a giant advantage
>round that has existed for more than 115 years and been adopted by almost every military and police force in the world at some point
How is it possible for 9mm to be a "meme"?
I'm trying to understand how 1911 feed lips affect reliability. Is it all about when the round is released under the controlled feed principle that will stop a baller magazine from feeding a hollowpoint? I don't understand how cookie-cutter no name magazines can be so shit.
>>28099975
2 piece feed ramp and steep angle.
>>28100004
Beat me to it.
Basically the round gets caught on the feed lips or the feed ramp. The casing, a hollow pont, something hits something and gets stuck.
Cheap mags can actually bump the slide stop with the follower and cause it to lock open with a round still left. The folllower can also tilt and caise the round to be at a bad angle....
>Just buy wilson combat mags and nkt worry
>Polish your feed ramp to a mirror sheen
>Be Solid Snake
>>28099975
>buying cheap 1911 magazines
cheap magazines feed at too steep of an angle for hollow points. you can over come this buy buying a different shaped hollow points. like hornady. or buy wilson combat mags and eliminate the mags as a problem.
Can you use the AR platform in a bullpup configuration?
And would it be beneficial?

Any range bullies online?
Long time range user, first time range bully here, looking for some tips. Earlier today I came up lighter than I thought after I shook down some rangelets for brass, and I think it's due to the new bully who took over for my off hours.
What's the best way to ensure I'm receiving full respect when some other punk is stealing my thunder?
>>28099768
Fill his brass bag with steel case
Do this a few times and he won't be coming back
>>28099768
who seriously does this lol
>>28099768
>make sure i'm the only one with the broom
>hide it between sweepings
>'help' out the range 'buddies' by 'accidentally' sweeping all the cases into my square while the range boss isn't looking. By the time they try to tell on me I've either swept their brass past the firing line or have swept it safely within my stall

Yfw you realize Obama did more for gun rights than anyone else in the last 30 years.
>legalize national forest carry
>Amtrak carry
>release surplus 1911 pistols to civilians through CMP
>more gun sales during his terms than ever before
What's his angle /k/?
>>28099697
Some men just want to see the world burn.
>defense shrinking
>arming civilians to deter foreign enemies through reverse psychology.
The more people have guns the more shootings happen, the more shootings happen the quicker he can ban guns.
Can someone please tell me what the thing in the middle is?

Cluster munitions are genius. You want to break your enemy's spirit? Drop hundreds of them over a town. Watch their dumbfuck kids pick them up and carry them back into town.
Read up on the Geneva Conventions, the fourth convention prevents non combatants & non war essential buildings from being destroyed / harmed. read up on this stuff before posting edgelord tier threads.
>>28100115
I somehow doubt all the Play Nice rules will hold steady in an actual large scale war.
>>28100115
Lol
>Geneva convention
That shit is for liberal faggots
It's even from a eurokek city for fucks sake
What's a good light gun you could shove in a survival bag? Thinking the AR-7 looks like a nice design.
But at the same time I'm wondering if it really has many advantages over other takedown models, and if .22 lr would really be enough for survival innawoods.
Sadly the AR-7s tend to be pretty damn fucking shitty.
There's a fair bit of handy lil single or double shot rifles, like the Chiappa Badger.
Good light takedown survivalist semiauto are fairly rare.
But personally, I wouldn't bother. In most cases, a pistol would serve you better.
Or maybe something like a Marlin 39A or if you can find one a 39M? It's 6.5 lbs though.
>>28099210
Too bad putting a stock on a pistol is 2spooky for the regular American to do.
