How sketchy would it to be to buy one of these off amazon? Seems like a honey pot to me.

Bryce Canyon. Worked there for 6 months, and the Hoodoos provided so many tactical possibilities. I sure as hell played operator every chance I got. 2nd would be Capitol Reef. Utahs got a lot of great spots.

For what purpose? The correct answer could be either a 22lr revolver or an anzio 20mm
We need to know your intent. Collecting, hobby, target shooting self defense, WHAT?!
>>28106073
both collecting and self defense. ive always wanted to start collecting because i enjoyed shooting and history of weaponry but for money reasons havent gotten around to it. The main reason now is for self defense. What would be an effective and reliable handgun, bolt action, and semi-auto?
>>28106025
I just built my first AR15 i'd recommend them. fun to shoot, ammo is plentiful and easy to find, decent hunting/home defense possibilities.
Plus its easy to buy parts and build your own. Which if you do lets you save money, make it how you want and gives you a better understanding of the gun compared to field stripping for cleaning.
Hey folks, I'm being conscripted in two weeks, and I got fucked with cold season basic training.
I'm most probably going to Infantry, possibly Combat Eng. afterwards.
What are Your recommendations/favourites?
Should I buy cold weather specific, or year round + liners?
Hard Knuckle? Soft? Reinforced?
P.S, they need to be at least somewhat water proof, as I'm going to do advanced training through late winter and we get most of our rain fall in the beginning and the end of winter.
Thanks in advance.

***FUN ALERT***
Mother is dead set on buying her one of those 9mm pistols because the ammo is common and cheap, y'know, just in case.
Certainly nothing fullsize, and nothing with shitty capacity. Nothing $200 cheap, and nothing $800 expensive.
I've just about convinced her to buy a Glock 19 or 26, which ever fits her hand better. Anything else I should consider?
CZs are popular
>>28105114
Which models specifically should I focus on?
Furthermore, which gun stores should I look for to try 'em on?
>>28105107
Is the Glock too manly for dear old mom?
It's time for me to get another gun. I want a 357 magnum carbine and then later a revolver in the same caliber. I really like the idea of the Ruger 77/357. Got any opinions? It seems light and better suited as a survival/hunting gun than a lever .357.
I moved and didn't bring all my guns so in my possession I have:
Ruger Mk3 .22lr
Henry Lever Carbine .22lr
Remingington 760 30-06
I don't carry. I just want a rifle I can shoot all the time that uses the same ammo as a revolver I plan to get.
If I get this bolt rifle, what revolver would you pair it with?
Slightly related question.
Can a .357 carbine fire .38sp like some re olvers can? Or would they be too short and cause feeding and chambering issues?
>>28105166
Yeah, it works fine, same with .44 mag/spl, but sometimes it can be a bit sticky when chambering a .357 after shooting a bunch of .38.
>>28105166
An auto loader, maybe. Lever actions absolutely.
So /k/ when will you come out of the closet

Do people who join the military have any reason to own a car? I'm joining the Air Force as a tech, basic is in a few months, and I'm wondering whether to sell my car or not before my first posting.
(have enough threads on /o/, thought I could get more answers here)
Yes. Yes you do. While you won't be able to use it while in training it'll be invaluable once you actually get stationed anywhere.
Provided you don't have a specific training event going on, or are on deployment, the military is basically like any 9-5 job- except you probably start at 0630. At the end of the day you're free to do whatever you want, same on weekends.
Your car is a vital lifeline to the outside world and getting yourself out of the barracks to go socialize with normal people/drink. Personally I'd recommend getting s self driving car so you can get hammered with out worrying about a DUI.

Are turretless AFVs still viable? Are tank destroyers in general still useful in modern warfare?
no
main battle tanks can go above and beyond anything TD's can do
No. Static defense don't real anymore, and that tank destroyer in particular found itself quickly replaced by infantry carried ATGMs, or those mounted on BMDs.
yea, it would be fine, except all western countries can easily afford to just field hundreds of MBT's, making a "cost effective" approach a little irrelevant.

So I have a question.
Is there an actual legitimate way of weaponizing ants?
Like is it actually possible or was it just some imagination that spew out of the crazy fuck before he passed away?
Because I heard about his theories on how ants can fuck shit up if done right but never believe any of his bullshit even after he died.
But now thinking back to that weaponized ant discussion is there an actual scientific way of doing that or is it just bullshit?
Also weaponized bugs and other random shit thread.
