The S&W contracted ppk/s had LOTS of reliability issues, especially if you try feeding it anything other than ball ammo.
I ditched mine for an Interarms built PPK and never looked back.

Top of the heap classic vs bottom of the barrel trend.. Get the ppk, and if you want plastic go pps or 43. Shield is about as big as a glock 26 which is far superior.

what does /k/ think would be an effective set-up for a homeland insurgency. lets say the blue helmets really do show up and our military is in shambles/spread all over the globe. we'd be dealing with bootlicking feds, foreign UN troops possibly loyalist militarized PDs.
i think the guys with scoped rifles and woods experience will be far more effective than guys tricking out ar's with aimpoops and eotrash's. once they realize that after they pull the trigger on their iron sight ak that the opposition will hit the dirt/get in cover, and they cant verify their hits and can no longer see the enemy because they have no magnification. then their only option is to start dumping rounds in the enemies direction (giving their position away) or retreat after 2-3 quick rounds. america isnt the vietnam jungle where firepower will be king. we have massive infrastructure/roadways/interstates/developed areas with long lanes of fire.
as a poverty 20 something year old i got a ruger scout with a leupold 1.5-4 scout scope. i wouldnt feel outgunned if some brazilian UN platoon came operating in my area with their iron sight fal's because id prone out, drop 2-3 and bug out to set a new ambush. meanwhile you guys who spend your time shooting steel at 25 yards will miss your shots and get melted by return fire.

What does /k/ think was the best rifle used by any power in the First World War? I'm referring to long rifles, not machine guns, etc. I personally think the Lee Enfield SMLE Mk III* was the best because of the larger capacity than most other rifles as well as the general ability the professional British Army initially had when using them.
