How does the bcg not slam into the back of the receiver on rifles that aren't AR-15s? Where is the main spring? Wouldn't there be more felt recoi?

Why are so many gun owners so cringey /k/? I'm not talking about your average gun owner who enjoys shooting targets and hunting with shotguns and rifles or the person who collects antique firearms. I'm talking about you Buba's with ARs that have attachments they will never need or use, that open carry and always believe they know the most about guns. You can usually find these people working at gun stores in the city. Now I don't mean to make it sound like all gun owners are like this but why do there have to be so many of these people? I hate being associated with them.

Hey guys, I'm going to be traveling from PA to the Albany area of NY and was wondering what, if any, guns would be kosher (pun intended) to bring.

Also, while in NY, I'll be on private property and was wondering if I could carry concealed or otherwise while on the private property.

keep in mind Im NOT going to or traveling thru NYC.

What I have to chose from:
basically everything

What Im considering taking (if determined legal):

1) 357 S&W revolver with 8 round cylinder and 2 speedloaders

or

2) Glock 26 with 10 round mags.

and

3) a Remington 870, full stock but with a mag tube extension capable of holding 7 or 8 rounds. Mag tube can be shortened to original 5 round capacity

or

4) an AR, with all the scary features. I can easily aquire restricted capacity mags for this, and Id rather take this than the 870 but have a feeling i cant...

suggestions?

So, I just saw a shitty ad for another Purge movie, and it always pisses me off, because they have a year to plan for this shit, and so many people die, it's fucking retarded
(also, with so many bodies and shit, how to cops take care of it the next day? Are there any cops left? Or any firemen? What the fuck)

Anyway, if the Purge was real, what would you have in your bug out bag? Would you Bug-out?
In case you don't know, the Purge is when nothing is illegal for 12 hours and there are no emergency services.

God mode: You can only pack what you already have.

For me, if it was to happen on the 7th (like this poster), I'd go buy an AR, since I don't have time for building one, and a .22. I only have a handgun - a Glock 23 - and some Tulammo and self-defense rounds, so I'd buy some more .40.
Since I live in a basement apartment, I'd get rebar for the windows and install a steel door instead of the one we have. I figure, it'd be cheaper to have a bunker than to figure out where to go.

According to this article, this kit enables the shooter to achieve full-auto firing, with keeping you firearm in semi-automatic firing. The technic they are using is that when pulling the trigger on the kit, it starts an electric engine, which "automates" the firing process. Still lawfully it stays quick series of trigger pulls.

Obviously guns are best but where I live they are not a practical option for defence of life and home. What are the best options /k/ has?

I was looking for:
-A good fighting knife type
-A good sabre/one handed sword
-(possible) crossbow (some of them shoot bullets)

I don't care about looks, only durability and ergonomics. Airguns are pretty much out as an option as they are only allowed to be 12ft/lbs for rifles; 6ft/lbs semi auto/revolver rifle/pistol.

Tried a slingshot but its hard to find a place to practice and they require a lot of that. Yes stones are free and steel balls are cheap; I need lead because it ricochets less.

Ideas, /k/?
