Full kit, obviously.
>The F-35 can perform a supersonic "dash" for up to 150 miles without using afterburners
So why do people say that the F-35 can't supercruise?
>>30192342
Because it requires a dive, and "dashing" isn't really supercruise.
>>30192372
>Because it requires a dive
According to a blogger who is known for lying about the F-35.
>>30192342
Because Mach 1.2 is in (the end of) the transonic region, and because, according to some posts I've seen which may or may not be correct, Lockheed / the USAF got into a pissing match with Eurofighter 10 or 15 years ago.
The F-22 was new and in order to talk it up, they talked about how it was the only supercruising fighter in the world. Eurofighter talked to the media about how their fighter could also supercruise, so then the US defined supercruising as something like Mach 1.3 or higher to make it clear it wasn't a high transonic aircraft; EF also said theirs could do >Mach 1.3.
The US then increased that to Mach 1.5, because that was a round number (so to speak) and EF said that the Typhoon could do that as well. The US then just gave up trying to redefine supercruise and just said that it could supercruise at Mach 1.7+, which put it ahead of the EF's claim of (IIRC) Mach 1.5+.
What does /k/ think of Stag Arms? Are they just Fudd's AR15?
>>30192305
I've got one. Purchased it years ago. It goes pew pew. I was in the market for an AR platform for years. After looking, reading, and more looking, I settled with stag.

Which branch should I join?
I'm in my early 30s with a shitty degree. I don't want to look back on my life and say I should have served my country.
>>30192149
it's too late for you to fly. all the "unlesses" involve you joining the navy or air force about 5-10 years ago.
>>30192149
Serve your country by going into politics. We already have a lot of really good soldiers, sailors, and other fighting men. What we have a shortage of is good people to elect into office.

Which branch are you enlisting/enlisted/considering?
http://strawpoll.me/6764857
Ask questions, get advice from retards on how to lie on the poly, bitch about recruiters, accuse each other of stolen valor, just keep it in this general.
Going to see a Navy recruiter tomorrow, he told me to bring some questions with me. What exactly should I be asking him about that I cant't find on the internet?
I have the opportunity to join the NZDF, but I can also get my Australian citizenship and join the ADF, which would be a better option ?
Does baguette enlistment count ?

Are there any non-cancerous PMC's
I've been reading up on straight pull rifles recently, and I came across pic related. It sounds like a Mauser 98 action, but with straight pull sexiness.
Unfortunately, in further reading, I found that it was designed in 1929, but due to the Great Depression, never made it to actual manufacturing. Tho I think I heard a company in Belgium was going to start producing them.
Any chance of them possibly coming over here for a reasonable price?
Also, what would be the practicality of making a similar design, but updating it, such as adding a Model 70 extractor and maybe safety?
>>30191853
>Any chance of them possibly coming over here for a reasonable price?
I can't think of a single European made bolt action hunting rifle that is imported for a reasonable price.

What does /k/ think of the Glock 34 Gen 4? I just got one in a trade, was planning on using it for CC. Should I now try to swap for a 17?
>>30191635
It is bang on for size with a government length 1911, but thicker. If you are comfortable concealing it go right ahead.
Picking up a 17 will cut some length out of the nose, but I personally at least run into issues with grip length printing far before slide length is a concern.
>>30191666
Yeah, I noticed that it's almost exactly the same length. I'm just more put off by the looks-always thought Glocks looked a bit odd with a longer slide.
>>30191703
I have a G34 too, and I kind of like the look. Plus the longer sight radius is great, probably my favorite Glock to shoot. And the big beavertail backstrap helps for my big hands.
As for CC, if you can CC a 17, you can CC a 34.
Looking ahead to 2020, there are several nations which will be deploying powerful combinations of fighter aircraft designed for the air to air role. How would you rank these combinations in terms of there overall air to air combat capability? Are there any others I'm overlooking?
US: F22 & F35A
US: F22 & F15C
US: F15C & F35A
UK: Eurofighter Typhoon & F35B
China: J20 & J31
China: J20 & SU30MKK
China: J31 & SU30MKK
Russia: PAK FA & SU35
Another possibility:
India: Rafale & SU30MKI
Why wasn't the F-15 MTD ever put into service?
Because it was a tech demonstrator, and not intended for large-scale production and service.

This week, the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Judiciary Committee has scheduled a possible vote on House Bill 921, sponsored by Speaker of the House, Mike Turzai. This important legislation would eliminate the current Pennsylvania Instant Check System (PICS) as well as the current handgun record of sale and replace it with the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) which is administered by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Please contact the House Judiciary Committee members in support of HB 921!
Since its inception in 1998, PICS has cost Pennsylvania tax payers nearly 120 million dollars to conduct background checks on gun purchasers in the Keystone State. By replacing the system with NICS, taxpayers in Pennsylvania would be relieved of a burdensome, duplicative process and would be able to take advantage of the more efficient federal system. Currently, thirty-five states solely utilize the NICS system for all firearm background checks.
