What are some /k/ videogames where you can simulate nuclear conflict at least somewhat realistically?
>>30206633
Defcon is bretty good but idk how realistic it is.

seconding this
What are you waiting for /k/?
I'm waiting for my pta to be approved so i can pick up my 28inch uzkon lever action shotgun.
The wait is killing me.
>>30206591
I'm waiting on this shitty, poor wageslave part of my life to be over.
I'm waiting for this lonely feeling in my gut to disappear
I'm waiting for the coming race war
>>30206591
Califag here, waiting ten days for a good ol 870.
I need to laugh, and I need stocks of pics to send to my friends to make them kek. I have all night and I'll dump a few to get it going.
just how much of a problem is the top open gap'd action of Garand and M14?
mud, grit, and shit can get into the trigger mechanism or obstruct the op rod channel, causing a failure to go into battery which may result in a KB. it's even worse on the garand because it has no magwell so debris gets built up and shit.
>>30206574
but how prevalent is it if it's maintained regularly and you're not crawling in mud or sand all the time?
In other words, is it really that fragile?
>>30206590
even if regularly maintained it will still explode and kill all babies in a 5 mile radius. you seriously can't look at them the wrong way
Joined as a reservist (infantry), and possibly going full-time after college. Are endless training and exercises in the rain all I have to look forward to? Wut do?
>mfw
>>30206545
>reservist
>omg my life is so hard
Fuck you, you weekend warrior faggot
>>30206550
>>omg my life is so hard
Did not say or imply that at all.
>>30206555
>endless training and exercises in the rain
>omg GUYZZZ I have to train and spend time in the rain sometimes!
>is this all I have to look forward to?!?!
Get out or go active depending on if you want more or less. I suspect less since you're a little bitch.
Help me, /k/. I want a semi-auto rifle chambered in 5.56/
.223, but I don't want an AR. I really wanted a Sig, but after seeing how shitty the 551A1 is and how expensive a legitimate Swiss manufacture is, I don't know what I want. I already have a battle rifle, and just want something with an intermediate cartridge to supplement it.
>inb4 special snowflake
>inb4 no reason not to get an AR
>>30206481
get yourself a 20 gauge
SCAR-L
>>30206589
Do the features it comes with actually justify the price? I could save the money if I really wanted to, but I don't want to spend that much unless it's top-tier.
What /k/-related thing did you recently acquire that made you really happy? I just bought my first gun, a Benelli Supernova with 14" barrel.
>pic related
I missed the delivery attempt in the morning but I picked it up from the post office after work and I love it (Canadian so no need for an FFL, guns just get shipped directly to us).
Pros:
-Tiny gun for a 12 gauge.
-Can take 3.5" shells.
-Best ghost ring sights I have ever looked down. Very easy to aim properly.
-Huge trigger guard so I'll be able to shoot in winter with gloves.
-Shell stop so I can clear the chamber without pulling another from the tube.
Cons:
-Collapsible stock is 100% solid front to back but has a slight side to side wobble. It's noisy and annoying.
-Reaching the slide release is hard because of the massive trigger guard.
-0 aftermarket forends because of the shell stop. 0 aftermarket anything really.
-Can't mount a light with a clamp because the barrel is so short.
-Only way to mount a light is to replace the stock picatinny rail with one that has a plate going down the side of the receiver. It looks stupid and doesn't put the light in a great location.
So what have you bought or been gifted?
I don't remember if I posted this last week
There was another, but I sold it in the parking lot for $125.
traded for these last weekend, traded a GEHA (12ga mauser 98) and No1. MkIII* SMLE to get them
Is this the same deal as bulletproof Army of Two face masks?
>>30206262
>>30206262
Kind of I guess, except in this case this is much more stupid in the fact that you'll turn into a vegetable if u do get shot in the fucking head and you manage to do so to yourself, waste of money.
With face masks, same deal except with some (face mandibles with eye shield, can clip onto the helmet) they give some space where the bullet can expend that energy into, and not directly into your face, you'll still possibly get bruised and maybe a fracture or something broken maybe, but unlike a hat its certain your not gonna basically die
Maybe it'd stop fragmentation from a pipe bomb or tannerite lawnmower fuckery. I doubt it'd have good results against gunfire.
A thread in which we reminisce about being young and blowing shit up. I' a bit drunk to coherently contribute an OP, so I guess photos for a bit.
A buried bomb.
Dead robot. The fight against Skynet was rough.
1/2
Here in Mexico we have these
Mendoza fabricates this kind of ammo for next pic related that are salvos and the slug separately, which is very stupid, but they count as airgun ammo and it's cheap
The salvo is a .22
>>30205878
For this "airgun" which holds one in the chamber and is manual cocking and everything
So it works as a revolver, the hammer hits the salvo and the slug comes out
But the ammo is stupid
There are certain regulations that force the barrel to break at certain pressure, but is there any way in which a recalibration to .22 could happen..?
Thanks in advance
I strongly suspect that you would be significantly better off with a pipe and nail.
>>30205878
turning a 4.5/.177 caliber into a 22lr would be incredibly labor intensive to the point where its cheaper to start from scratch.
converting a 22 cal airgun to fire real ammo and use the airgun barrel can be done. though the difficulty depends on the gun. how easy it comes apart and its materials
itt: Post comfy military pictures, gifs, videos, or webms
Just dumping some pictures
So what's /k/ doing to stop the Social Security gun ban?
>>30205682
Senile seniors who live off of social security checks and have their affairs managed by a caseworker were the only ones affected, and they're too poor to buy guns. If they bought guns before while they had their cognisance and job then they get to keep them and let your cousins inherit them (fuck you grandpa, see you in hell).
>>30205721
>who live off of social security checks
you mean the checks they paid into for 50+ years?
>have their affairs managed by a caseworker
maybe their kids are shit and they just needed some help
>fuck you grandpa, see you in hell
found the shitty grandson
>>30205745
Wow Giddy, it was a little tounge-in-cheek, but I have no problem with senile seniors not being allowed to buy guns.
If they can't be trusted to manage their own affairs, they don't get trusted with buying more guns. Don't like it? Then don't be dependent on social security like it's was designed to be your only source of income at that age.
So /K/omrades, what song plays for you as you charge to victory?

Today marks the day I got my first fun. Springfield XDs in .45 post recall so how'd I do? I was looking to start with a compact pistol for my EDC and then eventually get a full size pistol at some point but for now I feel like I made a good choice. Pic is exactly how mine looks currently waiting on my background check to clear to go get mine
>>30205664
Congrats, I came very close to getting that one. Ended up with the G43 instead, which is a little lighter but the sights suck ass.
>>30205727
Mine came with a red front sight with some different colors to swap em out and I was lucky enough to get hooked up with a 7 round mag and a 5 round mag
>>30205664
>falling for the .45acp meme
other than that you did good (not knowing the price)
Heya /k/. My income just doubled and I live in a low cost of living area so I've now got 2k to blow a month. What kinda shit should I get first? I've only got a meh tier 1911, a bargain bin AK, and a Shield 9 at the moment.
>>30205493
Save up at least 5 grand of that before you even consider buying something worth more than 750 bucks.
>>30205493
Lever gun in 45-70 for classic American blasting, and build an AR-15 for modern American blasting.
Never allow yourself to fall into the ruts that are fudd-dom or tacticool faggotry. Embrace the whole world of shooting.
Oh, and score a 12ga of your choice somewhere, skeet shooting is hella fun.
>>30205505
Smart
Also look at stuff from Fulton Armory.
