I'll start.

Everyday I'm carryin
>>30639637
Do you live in a war zone?
One or the other depending on the weather and what I'm doing/where I'm going
I want to pick up a beater Bulgarian Makarov and start having that as a carry option because I like Maks and because they're comfy
>>30639667
All things considered, I prefer to keep my options open.
And the shoulder rig helps keep my pants up.
So I just got a new 1080p monitor today, so I was looking for some good wallpapers.
Pic related, was my old wallpaper.

Here's a famous Cruiser. Its the Aurora.
New one is up.
I'm in the market for a Marlin Model 60. Are the new manufactured ones still ok or is it best to buy one pre-2006?
>>30636889
Older is always better for Marlin.
Thinking of buying a bullpup.
Is the Kel-Tec RFB any good?
I don't live in the US, and legal bullpup options are very limited here. Of all the ones available, I'm really interested in the RFB, mainly because it's chambered in .308 (most bullpups here are chambered in .223 or 12 gauge).
My second question: in terms of practicality, is hunting with a bullpup viable?
>>30636889
Older ones are such good deals. They get shot and never cleaned so they start jamming. Fudds dump them, you can get 'em cheap. Clean and adjust for the win.
What is the cheapest center fire round out there to shoot these days? I bought a Mosin a few years ago, but the prices have been really climbing. I love shooting the old girl, but I'm wondering if there is anything out there that is cheaper or are the days of cheap ammo over?
7.62x39 or .223/5.56
that's assuming you meant rifle round. 9mm would be cheaper and is centrefire.
.223 if in the West
.22 Hornet is cheap for factory
Make your shots count more if you can't afford much shooting; put smaller targets at decent ranges
>>30663846
Welcome to over 12 months ago if you think 54r is a cheap round to shoot, get with the times.
surplus is all dried up and shot up due to middle east, and ukrainian conflicts.
54r is 40-50c a round.
MFW I bought 10k rounds for 15-20 cents a round.
Did I just fuck up /k/?
I just bought a used aimpoint comp m4 on ebay for $385. pic related
I was going to buy a cheap chinese optic for my ar but reading up on here and other forums convinced me otherwise... Worst case I am going to try to sell it for $450 on armslist and get new aimpoint pro.
>>30663570
Dude, it's a solid RDS. Short of it not working, how could you have fucked up?
>>30663570

What does /k/ think is the best cheap bolt action on the market right now? I am thinking about grabbing a Savage Axis XP (pic related). Am I about to fuck up?
Bargain basement rifles are fucking retarded. People inevitably get tired of them and want to move up, only now they're in an even deeper price hole because they've already spent hundreds on a shitbox starter gun. If you can't afford a Howa 1500, a Ruger American, or a Tikka T3, you can't afford a proper bolt action hunting gun.
>>30662594
I genuinely want you to kill yourself in a non 4chan meme arrow kinda way.
>>30662503
get at least an axis 2 or savage 11 scout or hog hunter.
(At least get an accutrigger model)
>>30662594
this, don't go retard cheap
So my father recently handed down some firearms that were found on my great grandfathers farm. I'm trying to clean up this 1855 Colt Root sidehammer and there's this gunk in two of the cylinder chambers that's like silly putty pretty much. I've been just scooping it out with qtips and stuff but i was wondering if anyone had any experience with something like this. Maybe some way to dissolve it, my Hoppe's 9 bore cleaner is softening it up but that's about it. Any help would be appreciated.

What's the best low cost AK platform fun currently available?
I didn't see an /AKG/ in the catalog, otherwise I would've shit up that thread instead of starting a new one.
Polish, Yugo, Bulgarian, US, what to buy, if you want an entry level AK platform widget that isn't a POS?
Thread can become an /AKG/ once the question is answered.
>generic AK mode
WASR or Zastava
>Upotte! mode
Galil or Sako.
>no Agent Dogkillington sir I swear it's not an SBR mode
7.62x39 pistol with a "brace", like the Draco.
>>30662275
Got my saiga for like 500 very recently. One of the last to be sold and I'm loving it. Keeping it pretty stock too, no need to be tearing into a brand new weapon
>>30662275
I'm trying to answer the same question, hopefully thread will deliver
Im about to get this for my first handgun. Did I do good? I was considering a cz75b but I think that it's just to heavy. Cz p-07 looks good to go.
>>30662018
you'll be here tommorrow with your blog-tier complaints because you bought into the ChitZee meme. >>30657896
Just do yourself a favor and get a gen 3 Block brand Block 19.
>>30662018
I have one and it's so much fun to shoot.
>>30662048
Ignore this shill because he's been here doing this on threads for a while now and inevitably he always says, "buy Glock," whenever CZ comes up.

Are plastic-tipped bullets a gimmick? Soft-point bullets seem to work just fine. Do plastic tips really give that much of an advantage in ballistics?
>>30661857
If you are shooting over 300 yrds ballistic tipped or hollow point match bullets will generally perform better imo & based on my personal experience (someone who has actually shot both past 300 yrds)
>>30661857
What is your definition of 'just fine'? How far away do you shoot at things, and what are those things?
Plastic tips are good additions to some bullet designs, useless on others. A plastic tip alone isn't any kind of deciding factor.
>no nasty ass lead buildup on feedramps
>rounds don't deform their ogives smashing into the front of the magazine during recoil
If there wasn't some sort of benefit, it wouldn't be done by every major manufacturer.
Handguns you got them? I want to see them. Show me your hand cannons you sexy beasts.

So my wife has weak wrists and can't even pull the charging handle of my rifle reliably. She also couldn't handle a .38 out of one of those little 5 shot J-frame revolvers. What is something that basically a child could ccw? Should I get her a .22 like pic related?

You need a new wife
Hi /k/,
I've really been wanting to buy an AK lately. I want to buy the C39v2 from century arms. The gun store down the street has one for $650. Does anyone have experience with it?
I dont Know Men zorry :c
usually you will hear that theyre crap
as well as the RAS47
also get a new WASR
or save a little more and get something from arsenal
otherwise I have no personal experience with the c39, but it does have some decent reviews.
I was going to get one of those about two weeks back but k told me not to, to go with an npap or wasr, then it turned into a wasr vs npap shit flinging thread and I bought an npap, I fucking love it.
But it's my first ak and I've never shot a wasr before so don't take my word for it, I just know I love my npap
