You can call a dog a cat if you want.
Police don't have that authority, so who gives a fuck?

This. Temporary revocation of the second amendment will result in the permanent revocation of their lives
Friend posted this on facebook, can you tell me what the fuck he did to that poor gun?
>>30667881
He's acquired a race gun.
A Strayer-Voigt by the looks of it, pretty nice.
>>30667886
Oh so all that serves a legitimate purpose?
>>30667881
Is this some kind of troll? Those things are expensive as shit...and apparently pretty fucking great.
I'm planning on buying a glock 23 for my first gun.
I've fired rifles and shotguns before but I wanted a handgun first and I can get this from a family member (easy transfer) and cheap.
What are /k/'s thoughts on this gun.
>>30667795
Get a Glock 19 instead. There is no advantage to going with .40 S&W.
>>30667930
I'm inclined to agree. Glock 19 is the standard for pistols.
Let me put this in perspective, beretta used to hold the military contract for having the pistol that was standard use for most of our military, they worked on 3 different versions of a new pistol, spent millions developing a new version that would try to work for today's needs for soldiers and servicemen, and STILL the US govt agencies are adopting Glock as the new sidearm choice.
Get a G19, yeah you'll be cookie cutter, but it works and that's all that matters.

Can't he just install a g19 barrel and magazine instead of (presumably, since he has a family deal) spending more money on a g19?
Due to recent events our Ambulance company has been given county grant money to purchase body armor for all personnel.
They bought these hideous bullet proof vests that don't accept plates (other than those small "heart saver" plates that fit in the middle of your chest, definitely not sapi plates.)
Our chief has authorized anyone who owns their own body armor can bring it to work if they are more comfortable with it.
Please help me design something that isn't hideous and helps me look like the high speed medical operator I really am inside.
>>30667691
Is there any requirement to conceal it?
>>30667691
This is the shit they bought.
The only rule for our private plate carriers is that they must be white, navy blue, or black.
>>30667703
No, must wear on the outside of the uniform and must have a panel identifying me as EMS or RESCUE.

Paige. All the way
Hey guys, looking to do my first semi-permanent finish on a new scope. Everything I've done up to this point has been with regular spray paint. I'm not intending on purchasing a spray gun, compressor, and everything else because I don't have the money or room for it. That brings me to the new Duracoat in a can. Does anyone have any experience with this stuff? Is it worth the time commitment? Is the finished product good enough?
ITT: Talk about any DIY firearms finishes. Upsides and downsides to them, etc.

If you're going to paint your gun "tactical desert" but live in a temperate area you should just go ahead and kill yourself now.
>>30667587
What the hell are you talking about?
>tactical desert
Is that even one of the colors?
>>30667618
This is the equivalent of wearing surplus USGI desert boots in the Appalachians.
Cringeworthy as fuck.
Have you given your gun a name? Has anyone here engraved a name into a gun?
Pic somewhat unrelated.
>>30667351
Only cunts name their guns
>>30667362
But why?
>>30667362
No, you're thinking of retards.
I bought one last friday.
What upgrades and goodies should I get for it?
I live in an open carry state and have my ccw.

Night sights, a light is optional. Spend the rest on a good holster, a few mags, and ammo to train with.
Thinking about picking up this as my first 1911. Heresy?
personal taste. I like the look.
>>30667398
Are those all yours?
Combat Elite is a nice ride. Used to be only available in 2-tone, don't know about the present situation. You get a pass if you wanted a combat elite and that is the only configuration. Have fun.
Dis real doe?
>>30667155
yes dis real. awesome isn't it?
It's real. I'd know, I'm the guy who got his gun shot. Posting this from jail
Is the F-22 the best modern combat aircraft?
Also, it can be considered as a multirole?
>best modern combat aircraft
That would be the F-15. Get a few kills under your belt and we'll talk kid.
>>30667106
>Is it the best ASF?
Yeah, probably.
>Is it multirole?
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 could also carry bombs but its still a fighter.
Still, what /k/ fails to understand is that no plane is better than its pilot or support structure.
>>30667214
Even if a war broke out they'd just use F15C's because of the fear of losing an F22 and its technology possibly getting into enemy hands.
Does using the sights on a gun actually make your accuracy better?
>>30667081
No, they're purely for looks.
It might if you sight it in and use consistent ammo loadings.
>Does lining up the barrel with a target make the things coming out of the barrel more likely to hit the target?

Do any of you know about the UK's Special Reconnaissance Regiment? What kind of training do you get? and what is the selection process like?
>>30667056
This isn't really the place to ask, but I do know a little, they recruit the same way as SAS/SBS, minimum 2 year service, vast majority are drawn from parachute regiment (figure is around 76% as of 2014, 9% less than SAS), only difference is the vast majority of their members transferred into it from other SF elements, as oppose to joining directly from a regular infantry battalion, other than that there is fuck all info on them for good reason.
Didn't you make this exact thread yesterday?

You learn to boil water and make tea. The hardest part is when you have to drink tea without milk or sugar.
Why all the hate for 380?
>m-muh ballistics
If we listened to you fags we'd all try to CC 50 BMGs, you're conceal carrying to merc Tray not trying to defeat lvl 4 plates.
9 Luger btfo's .380, and nowadays we can make 9 guns just as small as .380 popguns.
>>30667023
>.380 handguns are generally the same size as their 9mm counterparts
>.380 has practically the same case diameter as a 9mm
>.308 performs worse than 9mm in practically every way
Maybe you should tell us why you think .380 should be more popular.
>>30667051
12 inches of penetration is more than enough to hit vitals.
If the person you're shooting is so big 12 inches isn't enough, then they are so fucking fat you shouldn't need a gun.at that point if you did its Ham Planet vs. Ham Planet. So who cares you're both too fat. .380 is fine
And also my .380 pocket pistol is still smaller than anything 9 mil.
