Now that I have your attention, is there any reason to save empty stripper clips? I am cleaning out my shooting storage and I have a pile of 7.62 clips that I saved from some russian surplus ammo just because I'm a packrat. I see them listed for ~$1 a piece on gunbroker and ebay but I'm not sure that that's even worth doing. (Not worth the time if it's never going to sell imo)
Even if I buy ammo in the future that is loose, I don't see myself taking the time to load stripper clips before a shooting trip. It's really not that much more convenient than loading rounds by hand.
Should I throw them away, /k/? I guess I just want to know what other people do with them.

If you don't like them you can sell the whole bunch of them in a box, someone will appreciate them.
Personally I like them because there's few guns using clips these days, and it's a fast enough reload.
How many do you have?
I guess you can just take them to a local gunstore and ask what they're willing to pay for a box of empty SKS stripper clips
>>30667021
sell them in bulk
Hi /k/.
Euro here.
I recently decided to get a rifle and since I dont feel like getting all the paperwork done for "class B" firearms (pistols) I can only get a bolt action rifle "class C".
Sofar the internet seems to like
>remington 700
>mauser 98
And a few others, which look ugly as fuck.
My CS-days have left a mark about the scout (meme gun?), but apparently its like 2,5k Euros new.
Anyone have any experience with bolt-action rifles and could recommend one?
It should be:
>reliable
Thanks in advance.
>which look ugly as fuck.
>My CS-days have left a mark about the scout
Looks like you don't actually want a rifle for any practical purpose, so why not just get slingshot and a lob your dildos at targets?
>>30666917
What do you own your guns for?
What do you want to do with it? Will it be your only rifle? Are you doing long range shooting or hunting?
How I wish we could bring back the days of the old and gunfight in the street...
>>30666870
Indeed. Too bad it was all fabricated by Hollywood and never actually happened.
>>30666870
Feel free to stop shitting up /k/ and take a drive to Oakland.
>>30666890
>>going to California for any reason
Yeah nah I'm good dude that place is a shit hole
What should you use to defend yourself against drone?
Some random creep can use a drone to spy on you and there's literally nothing you can do. Shooting at the drone with a gun makes you liable for whatever the drone falls onto and if you miss the bullet is coming down on whatever.
These high-tech anti-drone missile system is too expensive for the average joe.
>>30666805
Just some shotgun would do if you're living in the middle of nowhere. Birdshot, maybe. The pellets would fall quickly, and would certainly be enough to take down a drone.
>>30666813
if you are in the middle of nowhere then yes birdshots would work. But the threat of drone is greatest in urban area where the creep can hide in the crowd.
In an urban area your option is much smaller.
>>30666821
In an urban area, chances are it isn't spying on you specifically. Just leave the damn thing alone, it's hurting noone. Could be for someone's film project. Anyway, just don't look at it and you'll be fine.
does anyone know the type of gun used in the Baton Rouge shooting? I was watching the news the yesterday and at one point they were claiming it was an "assault rifle", however within 10 minutes they had quit saying that or claiming it.
I find it interesting that when an AR type weapon is used thats all anyone can talk about, but its been almost 24 hours and nobody seems to be reporting what type of gun he used. Even the dallas shooter used an SKS, and they were trying their best to beef up what that is, make it sound so dangerous and like such a modern rifle from the battlefield it was pathetic.
>SKS
I dunno who started saying that but in the pictures after they blew him up there's a converted Saiga near his body
>>30666665
ROF sounded fairly slow in the videos, but that could be due to well aimed fire (the best kind)
Probably some semi-auto rifle, even with the slow ROF
SKS or AR would be a good bet
>>30666665
Dallas used a Saiga with 30 round mags (5.45mm or 5.56mm)
Hey /k/, Californian here.
Is it better to try to be a legal gun owner in California or to move to a different state in the U.S.?
Picture related
>>30666652
It's better to prove that you are a resident from another state.
Technically you can own anything as long as it is not assembled or compiles with state laws.
t. Californian
>>30666673
what if I am not from another state. Born and raised here.
also 4:31 A.M. hahahaha.
>>30666693
>what if I am not from another state. Born and raised here.
You are pretty much boned my friend. Firearm companies, (much like this board) are sick of the CA bullshit and do not prioritize orders to gun stores. That will also depend on where you will be, what job you are doing. Housing prices, rent, upkeep keep on rising. Job locations are too condensed, as well as commute traffic hours. The only way people in retail service or office wage slave survive is if they are supported or retired. Once the Boomers die out, it will be ether a housing burst or multi generational living that will keep the homeless off the street.
The newest Overwatch hero can't use her right eye, so she cants the rifle over to use the scope with her left eye while still shooting from the right shoulder.
Is this actually a thing?
I thought cross-dominant people usually just shot from the weak shoulder.
>>30666459
It's not really a thing, but neither are hindi robots or reanimated snipers w/ cold puss puss. It's a fucking game.
It would be really fucking hard to aim this way
>>30666459
It wouldn't be easy to aim, and you would have difficulties regarding zeroing - but given it's future shit we can assume the zero while canted is a non issue.
I mean it's not IMPOSSIBLE to do, but it would be implausible.
I'm sure you get lots of these threads, but I can't find anything in catalog.
I need a pistol for home protection. is there a guide or a recommended list? it's my first one so it's something I'd take to a range also. what do you guys recommend?
>>30666287
At leas 37mm
KS-23
What's your budget faggot?
FACT: Modern Rock Island 1911's are higher quality than ww2 era 1911 pistols.
K.
>>30666012
don't RIAs suffer from sub-par barrel lock-up?(among other things)
issued 1911s might have been built loose, but they didn't have that issue.
Is this worth the buy?

It depends on how big a Wehraboo you are.
In terms of technology? Pretty big.

>inb4 another 100 posts of Lizerd being unable to form a sentence longer than "kys"
WHY ARE LEVER ACTIONS SO EXPENSIVE???
I CAN GET A SEMI-AUTO FOR CHEAPER!!!
Why am i so stupid that i can't understand economics or economies of scale or supply and demand for weapons that were rendered obselete 100 years ago!
Lots of fiddly parts plus made in the US or Japan plus poor economies of scale.
>>30665681
>Why is an obsolete collectors item that most people don't want more expensive than something that can be more easily produced and has more demand?
You retarded brah?
What's the shortest fixed AR15 stock that still uses a rifle buffer/spring?
Doing a 20" build, cant fucking find a vltor A5.
I still wanna be able to use the rifle with chest rig/ armor.
Shortest I can find is an A1 stock, but I still think that'd be too long. I'm 6', so it's not a comfort thing, I just dont wanna limit when I can use the rifle.
Help me /k/ I'm losing my goddamn mind
>>30665636
>What's the shortest fixed AR15 stock that still uses a rifle buffer/spring?
A2 fag
>>30665644
Thanks for the input

You literally won't find anything else.
Not sure why you bothered asking.
Do you believe in the nuclear deterrent meme?
>>30665628
>Implying Nukes haven't done more for peace than any other weapon ever created.
I hate nukes. We can't have another good proper war because of them.
