So I used to shoot m1 garands at local matches about a decade ago and I'm looking to get back into high powered shooting for shits and giggles.
I've settled on getting a Vepr 54R because they seem like a modern garand I terms of function and versatility and the furniture reminds me of the Anschutz 22lr models I learned to shoot on.
I've already ordered a slew of the new CS specs 10rd mags so I'm all but settled on the Vepr, but I've read bunch of conflicting things about barrel length and accuracy with the 54r cartridge.
Right now, Atlantic only has the 23" one, but I've heard that the 20" ones are more accurate. Is it worth it to potentially pay a couple hundred more to find a 20" one or is the 23" just as accurate?
