Why do you guys prefer automatics over manuals? Wouldn't you rather be working the lever yourself like a real man instead of letting it do it for you?
>>32474609
I like semi autos plenty, but really enjoy working a bolt too because it's another layer of fun. I love single loading my mosin and working the bolt, but I also like having my psl and all the cool factor it brings to the table.
The one thing that makes me favor semi autos is the looks more often than not.
>>32474609
Because like formula 1 sometimes the goal is to win, not have fun.
I like manuals because working the bolt is half the fun of shooting for me.
Also cuts down on the ammunition you use in a range visit because I'm a poorfag.
I carry a semi though.
IR lasers
so i shot while wearing NVGs the first time (PVS7 to be exact)
and it led me to the question, Why?
why do laser sights exist? they are probably more of a hindrance than a help
>can reveal your position if the guy you're fighting is wearing an NVG
>there's nothing laser can do that normal sights (Aimpoints,EOtechs) can't do
>isn't very accurate past 200 meters/yards
what edge do IR lasers give over normal sights?
You can mark a target who more than likely won't have the means to see your laser for the rest of your unit to engage.
That's a pretty significant capability that you can't do with a normal laser.
What is the point of bait threads if there are no (You)s to be thrown around?

Local teen invalidates Western NVD doctrine with this one easy trick! Find out what is making B.E. Meyers so mad.
>>32474254
yeah but only works in COIN (where sandniggers and guerrillas don't wear NVGs)
if you're fighting a competent well equipped army, the moment you activate your nvg is the same moment you yell "AYY IM HERE SHOOT ME SENPAI"
I am looking for a .22LR round that will give the max possible recoil I can purchase. Does anyone know or have any suggestions to what would have the most ft lbs at the muzzle to give me max recoil? anything over 1600 fps is what I think would be best. Leave suggestions below(other than stingers)
well how about that shit
>>32474037
Try the 60 grain aguila as it has a huge projectile.
>>32474120
are these still available?
So what do you put into a urban loadout aside from silence handgun and some level 2/3a vest?

Good enough to be a major export success.
In my country, Spain, our Mirage (Mirage IIIEE) lost the vast majority of DACTs (Dissimilar Air Combat Training) against our Phantoms (F-4C), that's the reason why the Phantom was our main fighter and the Mirage just for secondary role missions. But I read that in Israel was the opposite, they used the Mirage as a main fighter and the Phantom just for air-to-ground role. Why?
Do wood grips look good on stainless guns?
>>32473771
>>32473778
You fucking know it does.
Especially Sigs.
>>32473804
I don't think so, Sigs are okay, but Beretta's... they look the best in such a configuration. I don't own one, but I've been trying to get pic related.
Luger fags will defend this.
>>32473613
Are you suggesting that that gun is meant to be held with your finger completely below the trigger guard?
"natural grip angle" no such thing.
>>32473613
>The first 9mm ever could have better ergos
Wow, color me surprised.
next week im going to be shooting in -15 for some days.
what do i need to do to keep my guns in good condition?
>>32473582
Are you a faggot or what? Thats not extreme at all. Your guns will be fine, but a tip would be to use slightly less lube.
-45°C is extreme

Does /k think we will see some full scale military exoskeleton tech in our lifespan? I don't mean the HULC project, but a full on speed/ strength/decision making and augmented reality . I'm confident that IRONMAN shit does not exist yet. Does US military have some enhancing drugs that make you the perfect killing machine? Is it politically correct ?
Full scale? No. Never.
Even if widely issued as standard ki5 they would only be issued to 03xx 11x MOS, which is a very very small portion of the military. 99% of military personnel would have no use for them. Even then they would cause a logistical nightmare of constant reapirs, parts, fuel, and technicians to keep them running.
Honestly drones would probably replace soldiers before that became viable
>>32473251
What this dude saud also with drone there are no dead bodies so politically war would be good and there might be less chance civies getting killed
Also i think there is more use for clocking technology or stealgth camouflage use then actual exo skeleton
Just send in invisible soilders they report in enemy positions and have jdam or drones drop bombs on them
What is the longest "official" rifle-bayonet combination there has been? I'm after actual military service/military ceremonial setups.
Lebel with rosalie if we are talking about the smokeless era.
Other than that, single-shot breechloading rifles from the civil-war era are quite long with bayonet attached.

Thanks anon.
I'm into rifle spinning and looking for new stuff.

Selling a gun privately for the first time. Should I do anything special? Maybe grab the guy's license and run it or something? I don't know how this works.
Pls, he's coming at 6:30 today.
I don't want to be just like:
>Y-y-y-y-y-you a felon?
>>32473011
no, you don't run a dudes license if u do private. that's the whole point of private sales.
>>32473011
just ask to do a pat down, make sure the gun isn't loaded, if he has a gun on him, ask him to put it in his truck, and than safely exchange the money for the gun. also depends upon which gun u got for sale. If it doesn't feel right, don't do it. Also, try and meet in a neutral territory, somewhere away from gang territory, maybe near the local police station, maybe across the street from the cops... that's how ive done it b4
How do you be all revolutionary without you and your companions suddenly getting popped into clouds of red mist by a silent hail of 20mm?
Is there anything you can do to prevent this aside from behaving well and chilling out around civilians all the time? What's the best course of action once you've been spotted? Play dead? Try to surrender to the invisible sky demon? Huddle under a truck and try to summon your inner reptile and get your skin to stop producing heat?
This must be one of the most terrifying scenarios a modern fighter can face.
Unless you have anti-aircraft weapons, there isn't anything you can do.

you can hide under a block of ice

Hi guys.
I'm interested in joining the Royal Air Force as an Intelligence Officer.
Are there those here who know about similar intelligence roles in the military and what they entail? They're keeping information about their actual operations very close to their chest as you'd expect.
Thank you.
Polite bump.
Since a lot of intelligence is experienced based as an officer in that field your job consists of managing the people who are doing the work
I'd go Navy instead, the intelligence community is tiny in the UK and largely tri-service so it wont make a huge difference. There is a very good chance you won't know what you are doing until you are training.
The majority of jobs are what you'd expect, gathering intel, interpreting it etc etc
