Also had a shitty tour so might fall asleep.

Anybody got a good gym routine that they've adopted since becoming or preparing to become a LEO? I'm just getting a bit bored of my super set basic routine

So, mr. officer, how should someone act in a situation like this:

I meant to link to the thread itself and not that post in partcular, lol.

Please consider the first post instead.

The only street you see is the one that you can peep through the window from your desk.

My money's on you being
Gomez
Goines
Goode

That duty belt has no wear on it and the gun appears to be a Gen 4 Glock 17. The other option is that you're a movie/tv extra/background actor and this is your licensed uniform
>>
>>32477928

Is that you?

If so many states class as what you did as brandishing, and you shouldn't of lead him to your house.

If I was a civi I would of phoned the police telling them that a man suspected of being on drugs was following me and attempted to rob me (push the story abit)
>>
Fuck you pigs
>>
>>32478014

Not me, no, but this is the sort of thing that easily happens in my country (Brazil).

OP indeed called the cops, as he says further down the thread. Still, fishy situation.
>>
Does private security count?
>>
>>32477975
There's also a big problem with your radio. It's a cheap single channel UHF radio. There's not lapel mic input, no emergency button, and no way to change the channel.

I doubt it even works.
>>
>>32477975

Basketweave isn't allowed by the NYPD so I've never worn it out on tour hence the the "non regulations gun belt for photo"

I knew leaving the G might of fucked me up, I spend more time at CompStat than on the street I will give you that and the department authorised gen 4 glocks early this year.

And by the looks of with S&W stopping on making customs pistols for the NYPD and the Academys is pushing glocks on cadets unless they ask to carry a sig it's all we are getting now.
>>
>>32477975
Then there's the problem with the holster. The NYPD issues the safariland 2955. That's not what's on your belt.

Update. The radio is a motorola MT1000, and it's 25 years old. Not a P25 radio.

Spelling with british english? That's a bit odd.

>>32478143
>gen 4 glocks early this year.
They are custom glock 17', from Glock. They have a cut down grip to accept the G19 mags.

Your lie is falling apart. It was good while you had it going, but, you've been called out and it's time to stop now.

>Wrong gun
>Wrong duty belt
>Spelling with brit english
>25 year old radio
This isn't working out for you tonight.
>>
>>32478143
>Basketweave isn't allowed by the NYPD so I've never worn it out on tour hence the the "non regulations gun belt for photo"

So you spent $350+ on a belt that you can't use for work? Yeah, that's makes so much sense. It's more like your a security guard and you bought a uniform shirt, two patch and a wannabe badge.

Really, it's not working out.
>>
>>32478161
Wasn´t that fag a fucking juvie detention guard or something?
>>
>>32477650
That radio isn't real. Also how fucking fat are you? That second chance vest is the fatty size.
>>
>>32478161
That was the first tripfag i wished would die of ass cancer. Oh, memories.
>>
>>32478226
LEO was caught in many lies. He claimed to be a South Carolina Highway Patrol Lt. He also claimed to have been a PMC and was finishing a PhD.
>>
>>32477650
Iron your fucking uniform shitbag. I'm honestly doubting this isn't some rp bullshit.
>>
>>32478233
>That radio isn't real.
It's real, it's just ancient and no one has used them since the early 90s.

I had to get a consult it, it's a motorola MT1000. 16 channel UHF.
>>
>>32478192
are they custom 17s? everything i've heard from NY LEOs is that they're normal glock 17s with retarded 15 round limited mags
>>
>>32478245
>Iron your fucking uniform shitbag.
He's claiming to be an lieutenant, that think should be dry cleaned and starched. The patches should have creases from the dry cleaning press. They dont. Why?

>>32478250
No, they have to accept the current stock of Glock mags that the NYPD has. This has been documented. When the NYPD buys, Glock will do what's asked.
>>
>>32478192
>2 days from 2017
>getting rekt by a tripfag

kys OP
>>
>>32478275
>They dont. Why?
Because they're not even on the shirt.
>>
So anybody charge others for any victimless crimes lately?
>>
>>32478297
This fraud has been here before with this "I'm NYPD" shit. His collection of stuff is scary and he's on a path that doesn't end well at all.

They only excuse for this shit is that he's a TV extra.
>>
>>32478351
He's already committing a felony in NY by claiming to be a LEO. I hope he's stupid enough to walk around with that shit on. He'll get caught.
>>
>>32478370
I bet his precinct pins are from the 12th.
>>
>>32478370
I forwarded this thread to my compstat friend. He says there's no way this guy is NYPD or ever has been.
>>
>>32477650
Hello again from howzin, basketweave lou.
You studying for the captain's test?

>>32478275
Though I have my doubts about his authenticity, nobody on the job dry cleans or gets their uniforms pressed. We take immense pride in looking like ragged hairbags - crisp and clean is for rookies.
The old safariland level 2 holsters are being replaced. They made me change to the new one last range cycle. Shit sucks.
Likewise, glock 17 gen 4s were authorized a while back.
I don't know shit about what radios they use in Transit, but it looks vaguely like one. It's not one of the vertex radios used by patrol or Housing though.
The basketweave is redonkulous, but I see cops flagrantly piss in the face of the patrol guide with nylon belts and shit, so eh. I give him the benefit of the doubt because it satisfies me to shitpost at superiors.

Frankly, short of him posting his ID or getting doxxed, there's no way to really prove or disprove him, unless somebody feels assed to Pride PD him.
>>
And just like that our NYPD general has gotten real quiet as his lies have fallen apart.
>>
>>32478275
>No, they have to accept the current stock of Glock mags that the NYPD has. This has been documented. When the NYPD buys, Glock will do what's asked.

Checking with people in the NYPD and the rumors of "19L" were bullshit and they're just regular 17s. They're using 15 round capacity limited 17 mags which can easily be found online.

It's almost like you WANT to spend your days scraping OD'd homeless people off the courthouse steps and dealing with fender bender #123098713247140987132 in a 3-mile stretch of bad road in front of SLU.

yeah pretty much this. Though I would assume that anyone who works in St. Louis county just couldn't find a job with the Highway Patrol or in St. Charles county.

But in any case, Mr. Anon, god speed and good luck. make it a better place pls.

Confirming this. They're regular 17s with garbage Nypd triggers. Nothing special.
I'm hearing they're mostly pushing recruits to the 17 now, but the 19, Sig 226 are still options if they insist.

Figure I'll ask here

Does anyone know if SWAT guys have a day job or somthing? Like do they have other duties other than sitting about waiting for a call or is that all they do?
>>
>>32480104

SWAT is a special assignment, and generally SWAT officers have full time positions in their respective departments that aren't SWAT-related per se, unless they are unit leaders or training specialists.

taking my civil service test soon. what should I expect and what should I do to prepare?
>>
>>32480211
Thanks mang.
>>
>>32480233

Stay fit and stay out of trouble. Start cardio, and train to exceed the PFT standards for your state/department. Say way too many guys wash out because they couldn't eke out that last, lousy puishup or situp, or they underestimated the 1.5 mile run pace.
>>
>>32480104
In my small rural town we have SRT. The only difference between them and a regular sheriffs deputy is the remington 700 in the trunk and the training
>>
>>32480104
Depends on the size of the department. In my town, the SWAT team is comprised of the TAC unit that usually ride around in low profile cars that respond to high-risk felony stops, armed robbery, etc.
>>
>>32480104
Depends, here in NY the Trooper's SWAT guys are full time SWAT and do nothing but training, training others, and operating. At the same time I know a guy on a county team and he spends most of his time just being a normal cop with a 1911.

>>32480233
Can you take a standardized test? Because it's an easy standardized test.

Other than that, do your pushups, situps and running.
>>
>>32480571
>high-risk felony stops
what are those like IRL? i'm an ausfag and have never seen, or heard, of the cops doing anything like that here. here if they deem you a serious threat you're going to have a bunch of very well equipped cops meeting you through your bedroom window at 2 AM, not some cucks pulling you over.
>>
>>32480549
I was an officer in a small town police dept. We only had 4 people a shift and barely enough people on staff to even have an SRT.

We didn't even have enough in the budget for police carbines or shotguns, so they let us qualify with our own personal weapons after the armorer cleared them. So glad I transferred.
>>
>>32478161
im just glad fucking SAO & S.T.A.L.K.E.R. are fucking gone.
>>
>>32480923
You're nuts, man, small town is where it's at. That said, budgets are minuscule and you have to fight tooth and nail to even get the town to pay for shit its own laws require it to pay for.
>>
>>32481037
I know, but I wanted to move back home. Parents are getting older and I'd like them to see their grandkids more before they pass away. My hometown PD is only a little bigger than the one I was at, and I get my own car.

Nothing feels better than having a car seat only you can fart on and you don't have to take all your gear out after every shift.
>>
>>32480822
You ain't too bright, are you?
>>
>>32477650
So how intense is security for new years? And do you think anythying will happen? Also thanks for what you do sir.
>>
>>32480822
it's not a warrant service, it's when you stop someone you think has committed a felony (generally one that would imply they are armed and a danger to you and the public)
>>
>>32481144
>You ain't too bright, are you?
no my bedroom lightbulb broke earlier.

tell me what a felony stop is like IRL. i know they light you up and tell you to take a few steps back looking away from them etc, but tell me what it's like for the person being arrested.
>>
>>32477650

Hey man. You have any ideas how to become a police officer? I live in Finland. I know some people here have left and became one. All help appreciated!
>>
Anyone have any knowledge on Army CID? I'm putting together a packet as soon as I can get my unit to send me to BLC.
>>
>>32481127
And where you don't have to adjust everything every time you get in.

I love whenever nobody uses the vehicle between my shifts.

Good on you for looking out for your parents, though.
>>
Chicago Police just emailed me telling me that I'm to proceed with the hiring process. Kinda excited. Any CPD bros here?
