Could the massive cost of the F35 program (400 billion) and other expensive programs just be an excuse to pour money into more finantially-demanding and highly-secretive projects? (The so-called black projects).
Many unidentified man-made aircraft (primarily triangular-shaped flying wings) have been spotted over the course of the last few decades, which, at least, suggests that the US airforce has potentially developed high-speed surveillance aircraft which have not yet been shown to the public.
I'm sure you've at least heard of project AURORA

I'll be making a thread on /tg/ about this but there's a side of the project that I want /k/'s input on.
I'm sick and tired of noguns losers having their way.
Long story short the novel focus's on a secret war between the allies and axis, fighting over control of the continents in the centre of the earth.
Aliens, nazis, Admiral bird etc.
But, that's not the point here.
I want them to be /k/ as fuck. The primary factions are american and german, and I want them to have odd / unreleased / prototype guns, prospective guns, just what was high technology in 1946.
What would be some suggestions?
I'm already arming the german snipers with infared night sights that are 30lbs, and that will be a plot point.
The americans will also be using submarines that can launch aircraft.
So help me out guys, give me your ideas to please the /k/ube with my project.

Would it be cheaper to just buy a FAL over building one? If building is cheaper would it be cheaper to just go to Apex and DSA and buy all the little bits or find a 'cut' kit on Gun Broker and put it all together?

I'm probably one of the guys you're talking about. I did an enlistment as a grunt Marine(2 tours/16 months in Helmand). I did some cross training with Legionnaires in Djibouti in 2010 and was very impressed by them. The idea of trying to join has been in the back of my mind since. My life is going nowhere at the moment. I'm working a shitty nightshift job and all of my friends are advancing in their careers and getting married/having kids. I'm growing apart from everything I care about here in the States and I'm looking for a new challenge to go at while I am still young. I don't want to spend the rest of my physically capable years sorting packages in a warehouse when I know I am capable of more. The FFL is like hitting the reset button and upping the difficulty because you have to learn and adapt to a new language and culture on the fly while doing everything else. My IRR obligation to the U.S. military expires on Friday I'm leaving for Paris on Sunday. I rented a room and plan to do tourist shit for 2 weeks in Paris before I hit the gates of Fort De Nogent on the 23rd. Right now I'm running 50k a week(10k 5x per week, avg 47-48 minutes) and maxing at 17 pullups and spent the past 6 months teaching myself French.
I'm shooting for the 2 REP.

That's the skirt the law. Most places, if they serve a purpose (ie, belt buckle), they're not illegal UNTIL you take them off and put them on your hand. Bikers use to fashion them into kick pegs on their motorcycles with quick pull pins. That way they were technically part of the bike, until they were needed.

Try to find an Atibal 4x32. It is a decent ACOG clone for cheap. If you can't find that take a look at the Athlon Midas BTR prism scopes. Vortex, Primary Arms, Steiner, and a few others make cheap prism scopes that aren't dogshit.
If you have an AK get a Kashtan or PO 4x24 P2.

Does he want it for carry or just a gun to shoot? They exist in a normal single stack and as a double-stack mode (15+1 capacity) l, which is only slightly wider.
Unless you want to make it a surprise, you could ask him if he wants the regular model or the slightly wider higher capacity model.
