You're an idiot. Explanation enough?
>>32535265
not enough

alot of calibers are named after the diameter of the barrel. since the bullet needs to be bigger then the barrel to grab the rifling bullets are often larger then the caliber they are named after. 45acp and 9mm bullets are slightly larger then .45 inches or 9mm. not sure where or when that started.
as for case length not sure but thank god they rounded it off. 7.62×39mm is long enough, no need for 7.62x38.70mm
How do you do it /k/? How do you get over your insecurities? I'm only confident with guns but they took them from me. I have no guns, I've lost the opportunity to be with the only girl I could ever love, the one that could listen to my problems and I, her's. I've only been good with a few things, guns being basically all of them. How do I overcome myself and move on? I can't talk to my parents about it since they don't give a fuck about me except for what little money I have, and were the sole reason my guns got taken from me.
What do I do? I don't know how to move on. I've tried bottling all of my emotions up for years and I've only gotten more depressed, more suicidal. She helped keep me from that point but knowing now, I've lost her, I just don't know.
I really need advice here, and you all are the only ones I know that can relate to this situation.
>>32535255
get a job and move out ASAP
>>32535283
I have a job. I work 50+ hours a week.
>>32535308
Realize that nobody can understand you the most except yourself.
If your plan is to move out, make a goal. Calculate prices, what do you need to do? Do you match requirements? If not, work on it.
Realize that even the most caring people who try their best, are probably not good enough to understand you. People that want to use you are people you should stray away from. Become an independent person that people depend on, rather the other way around.
tldr: Stop allowing people to take advantage of you, create goals, become independent.
Why the hell is Metal Gear 5 the olny game with anything simmilar to Rhodesian operators?
Rhodies aren't really seen as the good guys anywhere but /k/ and places like it. Not mainstream enough for the attention of many developers.
>>32534996
>wearing shorts
>vaguely FAL-ish looking rifle
>they must be rhodesian
please go away and don't come back
>>32534996
Kaz actually mentions some mercs are actually previous Rhodie Selous Scouts. It's cool that Kojima is actually autistic enough to know anything of the subject.
Fact of the matter is, there aren't too many games taking place in the bush. Only other 2 I can think of that actually even take place in Africa are Far Cry 2 and RE5.
What ARs can you guys recommend?
Money is not an issue and building my own is not possible in my country.

good taste, but they mostly make competition guns. Their M16 bolt is the sexiest bolt around, though.
Why we sent the army to fight the Germans.
> surrender rate
>fighting in urban enviroments gives you a roof over your head
> not exposed to element a as much
> can sleep on a fucking couch
marines had to fight the savage gook in fucking jungles with no shelter, exposed to the elements against an enemy that made the U.S drop 2 a bombs. tickets would rarely surrender. suicide grenades. banzai charges. disease.
seriously why do we even have the us army? marines could have fought in Europe better than them. but they couldn't do beach landings for shit. Normandy was a shit show. marines fought in ww1 on the ground.
army men are too valuable for society to send into the grinder
average muhreen with IQ<80 was disposable enough
>>32534708
tfw 3 times more army divisions than marine divisions fought in the pacific
>>32534708
>Army bailed the Marines out on Guadalcanal
>Army bailed the Marines out on Okinawa
>Army takes New Guinea and Phillipines
>Army takes entire North Pacific
>Army handles Burma/China campaigns
>Army would have been main effort in the Invasion of Japan
>Army ended the war (USAAF)
Would it be a good idea to carry pepper spray in addition to a handgun?
I just turned in my permit application yesterday (MN) and I'm wondering if having a non lethal option would be of any use. On one hand, having the option to incapacitate someone without inflicting serious injury could be useful, but if the cards were down and I really had to shoot someone, I don't want to have a jury full of libcucks going "uuuuh how come you not just spray him tho? he was a good boy!"
is the situational flexibility worth the potential legal liability when and if I do use my handgun?
>>32534562
Yes!
>>32534562
I make my own peper spray I put peperoni in bottle make tasty juice and good self defens weapon
>>32534562
Don't think of spray as a ltl ALTERNATIVE, think of it as a lethal supplement. If the guy already has a gun or knife on you, are you going to be able to draw and fire your CCW or draw and spray them with a higher degree of consistency? Obviously draw and spray is easier and will more reliably produce some sort of debilitating effect which can buy you time to comfortably draw you sidearm and line up a center of mass shot.
Once again; don't think of it as an alternative, it is most effective as a supplement; like a flashbang or pocket sand.
Hey guys, might buy a Makarov off of Armslist at some point, currently talking to the guy. I'm not Makarov expert so can someone who is tell me a bit about what I'm looking at. I'm gonna post another pic too. Can someone tell me the production year, confirm place of origin, ect.? He wants $325
Bump for help please
For 325 you will be getting a Makarov made in Bugaria. They are the least expensive of the four countries of origin and the most prevalent. I would save 125 though as Sportsmans Guide has these on sale right now for $199
How many of these bullets can you name?
>>32534231
Give me the bottom of one and I can name them all
>>32534231
Who the fuck cares?

rick, jonny, james, juliet, mark, snuggles ... i can keep going if you want
Why didn't the utilization of dogs in warfare, on a massive scale, never become a thing?
>Takes only like 3 years for a dog to become fully grown and trained
>You can feed it scraps of meat, potatoes, apples
>Obedient, loyal (to a fault)
>Can take down a full grow man
>Very fast, silent
>Intimidating as fuck when enraged
>Can follow cavalry
>Can be used to pull carts/loads like sled dogs
Just send a 1000 dogs into an enemy camp and let them wreak havoc.
Or send a 1000 dogs at an enemy formation to wreak havoc, before you advance.
And in the modern era, just slap suicide vests onto them.
It isn't nearly worth the effort to throw them into what would amount to suicide attacks. They can't do anything that an unthinking, unfeeling weapons system doesn't do better in combat. They're much better for noncombat roles, where they see use.
>>32534163
Let's take it a step farther. You could genetically engineer wolfs to be the size of a ponies, able to take multiple gunshots and survive than make humans their main food source. What could go wrong?
>>32534163
Russians did. They put suicide vests on dogs and starved them. Then to condition them they'd place food under tanks.
When German panzers showed up they'd release the dog and it'd run at the tank for food. Kaboom.
Which Starfleet Captain was most similar to a real life ship CO in terms of personality / management style /k/?
>>32534068
Kirks the one if you wanted to "be him". Picard's the guy youd want as your CO.
>>32534068
Our Captain was like Kirk.
He fucked everyone who had leave by cancelling it and making them stay on board and do fire drills just so he could brown nose his superiors for that promotion he'd never get.
Captain Jellico

If I can't legally lock loaded magazines in the same container as my gun, then what do I do for home defense?
>>32534039
That's just for transport, in home you can keep it loaded and in your pocket if you want, at least in merrica.
Illegally keep loaded gun under pillow with safety off
>>32534039
Fuck the law
>thanks very much to the anonymous collector
So, who of you guys was so kind to let Ian to take a look when no one else would?
Me

I let him fondle my Bergmanns, he let me fondle something else.
But the details are only known to us.
Lost a lot of respect for him after the arrest.
What kind of Stahlhelm is this? All I know is its Great War era.
M1918

Due to it not having the ear cut out, its can only be a M16 or M17. Sadly you hva not posted that many pictures, as fx. the shape from the side, front, and inner...
This looks like a Second World War one, possibly M35
Pic related is an M35

During the Cold War, Sweden was one of the few countries in the world had such a developed total defense. This meant that the next military defense also was a civil part that would protect citizens in the event of war. In our fictional story about how the country would act in the event of discord is now the civil defense in full swing. And there's an old truth: war always affects the civilian population worst.
>>32533960
Since it doesnt have any subtitles and is in Swedish I doubht its intresting for anyone but us. Try posting it in /SvT/ or something.

Bought the Big Horn jacket by 5.11
Does anyone here have any experience with 5.11 products? Worth the money?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_-3ro5wp38
>>32533922
Their pants are pretty good. The pouches have this derpy snapping sliding MOLLE action going that weighs more, snags more, and is less secure than standard webbing. That's all I have personal experience using.
>>32533944
Which pants do you have? Been thinking of buying some nice tacticool pants soon.
Just looks like an LLBean jacket but probably way more expensive.
What does it have to offer the other doesn't?
