Hey guys, I was just digging through one of my parts kits, and found this note rolled up in the cleaning tube. I can't read Spanish for shit, and Google translate gives indecipherable gibberish. Anybody that can speak Spanish translate?

Rest of the kit, for anyone who cares
>>
What is "google translate", Alex?
>>
>>33864180
>Google translate gives indecipherable gibberish.

What is reading comprehension?

No, don't answer. You'll just fuck it all up even more than you already have.
>>
>>33864018
I'd ask /int/

>>33864180
>a piece of shit is useless unless very clear and basic sentences
Zero points
>>
I posted it in /int/
>>
>>33864018
Well OP its deffinetly not puerto rican spanish but from what i can make out, looks like some sob was heart broken over someone called Milly. The parenthesis say to leave the note where you found it. Hope this helps.
>>
>>33864309
Well, its a rifle from Spain, so it's likely some fancy book Spanish if my Cuban ex's Spanish (La Coruna Spain before they went to Cuba, then to California) family's constant hatred of Mexicans is any indicator.

Wood from various rifles to draw interest
>>
>>33864018
Link me to the thread in int i dont see it and dont wana lurk the cataglong
>>
>>33864350
...why do you have so many parts kits?
>>
>>33864018
a lot of profanity, something about "a son of a bitch" or the like, fucking mainland dialect, I only really understand north mexican dialect
>>
>>33864018
some grill named mily did "el nino" wrong.
>>
/Hilo Latino/ could not translate it. probably going to have to make a new thread for it in /int/
pretty sure it's just some notes about getting the wood to fit. some weird shit on eternal bottom I can't understand though.
>>
>>33864390
>English is an international language with native speakers on multiple continents that can all share written and spoken word with total fluency
>Spanish speakers can't travel 100 miles without having to learn a new "language" composed entirely of the same vocabulary with different usage.
>>
>>33864416
I'm 99% sure it's shitposting.
>>
>>33864416
hes frustrated it seems, saying something like "busting my balls"
>>
where you guys getting milli? mizi is a guys name.
>>
>>33864018
From Feb. 15 1993 to Nov. 15 1993 it made the "bitch [Mizi (maybe a name?]" one of the (symbol) and my shit stays here with my laughter and my tears. How much money do you have left, "furry"?

In parenthesis below:
(If you by chance read this, leave it where it was)

Sounds like a calling card for a cartel hit?
>>
>>33864363
Because I enjoy building them, and buy them when I see good deals. Just now I am sitting on a Yugo M76 kit and receiver blank, Yugo M72 RPK kit, two CETME kits, AR 11.5" pistol kit, and enough spare bits to kludge together another AKM.

I'm not sure if this is your area of expertise, but I want a G3 style .223 rifle that I can put wood furniture on. Would the V-93 be a good option, or should I be looking for something else?
>>
>>33864432
Nah, this reeks of butthurt conscript or enlisted.
>>
>>33864453
I wouldn't buy a V93, Vector Arms went tits up in 2015 so they won't be able to fix it if there is something wrong with it.

At this point, just buy a C93.

Should be able to chop down CETME or G3 wood furniture to fit, it's been done. Slightly related, if you ever see an MP5 with a wood forend you'll blow your load, pure sex
>>
>>33864478
February of 1993
>>
>>33864478
Probably from 1993 or concerning the events thereof.
>>
>>33864478
The date is right at the top, anon.
>>
It's not gibberish, OP, but close to it. It essentially is a guy talking about a girl named Mili (who seems to have cheated on him with the "Peludo" (which means hairy guy in Spanish.) it's a small chronicle of what happened from January 1993 (the 1°/93 part), to November 1993. He says to leave the note where you found it and not much else. The statements are not disconnected, but they are largely unimportant to one another and to your parts kit.
>>
>>33864498
>>33864500
>>33864512
How the hell did it stay hidden in there for 24 years?
>>
>>33864515
So then it's just Conscript drama?
>>
>>33864517
Presumably because every time someone read it they put it back where they found it. Good job, OP. You found the parts to the rifle that El Niño used to kill mili
>>
>>33864432
Well, more comprehensive than Google, but still goofy.

>>33864478
Well, I'm assuming late 1993 at the earliest. It smells like burnt motor oil and cheap cigarettes. Similar smell to some of the Yugo parts kit that reek of cigarettes and BO.
>>
>>33864523
Likely, yes. He's bemoaning his fate and asking you to leave it there with his "tears and laughter." Probably a dramatic kid. Pay it no mind.
>>
>>33864517
you know why it's called surplus?
>>
>>33864542
But doesn't this shit get broken down and inspected before it's sold off?
>>
>>33864538
You better put that shit back where you found it.
>>
Mili is not a girl. Mili is the slang word for conscription.
>>
>>33864538
Goddamn it Now I really want to get a parts kit despite not having a welder, knowing I'd need to replace most of the springs and parkerizing/ rebluing everything.

Do you do anything fancy with the triggers?

So maybe it's a self-deprecating note asking the reader how much longer they have to be conscripted?
>>
>>33864558
Shit, he's right. Ignore what I said earlier, OP. It's a note between two conscripts asking how much longer they have in the army. The dates are enlistment and end dates.

That makes a lot more sense. Thanks, guy.
>>
>>33864558
>>33864577

This

Conscription in Spain ended 2001.
>>
>>33864018
Booty always works
>>
>>33864579
No. It is dedicated to the rifle (chopo). He says he leaves his rifle with his tears and his laugh. Then he asks rethorically to the rifle how many cycles of the conscription will it see.
>>
>>33864628
Damn, right in the feels...
>His rifle was his best friend during his service, and they had to part ways
>He still thinks about that old piece of shit, wondering what kind of stories it would have to tell years later
>The rifle gets taken out of service and dismantled for surplus parts
>He will never see his buddy again
>>
>>33864663
>>33864628
You'd better leave that note in the cleaning kit anon.
>>
>>33864432
>>33864432

This is quite accurate. Are you a 100% sure that "chopo" and "mili" mean "shit" and "money"? because i found that chopo means firearm in certain parts of colombia, but i cant find anything about mili... not even when i relate it to money in the google search

in the lower left corner it says
Firma: 24 BIA
"EL NIÑO"

Its signed by "THE KID" but do you know what 24 bia means/refferences?

Im trying to find something on the 1°/93 thing... i assume its a gang, but the 93 seems to be related to the year. The 1° makes me think of a military unit but cant find anything, also the message itself as a whole seems to hint that its gang related.

i dont know why im so interested in the story behind this.

Well, on the bright side, it's been bought by a guy who wishes to put it back together, refinish it, and eventually pass it on to his son. I'm giving the rifle my son's six digit birthday as the serial number, and engraving the original Spanish Santa Barbara arsenal markings on the receiver.

From spanish wikipedia

>Durante 50 años el Centro de Estudios Técnicos de Materiales Especiales desarrolló diferentes versiones de este fusil, conocido coloquialmente entre la tropa como «chopo».

https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/CETME#Desarrollo_de_versiones

>Este servicio recibió la denominación popular de "mili" y fue siempre exclusivo de los varones mayores de edad.

what are dialects for $500 Alex
have you never heard a scottish person speak (or a drunk one) or a cajun?
>>
>>33865087
The difference being that with Scotts they're mixing in actual Gaelic. That's like saying someone speaking broken English and relying mostly on German is just using a different dialect.

Spanish is on a whole different level. It would be like if Californians and Texans couldn't even communicate. What a dream that would be.

More than the battalion I would say it is the "quinta", that is, the bunch of recruits from one year. So it would be the first "quinta" of the year 93.
