The protests and liberal asshurt are gonna be delicious.

How is no one stoked about this?
I'm your northern neighbor. And I'm not in school anymore. So doesn't really matter to me. Grats tho ga bro
>>33861810
Ty bb. What state?
>>33861272
I'm going to college this year. Can I carry at 18? Can I bring my rifles to my dorm?
>>33862479
No and I don't know
You must be 21 to get a CCW permit, so carrying a handgun at 18 is a no go
You'd have to ask the housing department at your college to determine if you can bring your guns in your dorm, but Im betting not.
I think that dorms are one of the few buildings that are exempt from the carry bill, so you wouldn't be able to carry in a dorm even if you were 21
>>33861272
GA boy here
I already carried illegally almost every day. This changes nothing.
>>33862479
>18
absolutely not
>>33861272
It's about time, I'm stoked but I'm expecting some serious backlash from the left
I'm looking at you, Athens, and KSU to a lesser extent
>>33861272
SPSU here, where do you go bro?
>>33862479
No and No
You must be 21 or in the military to get a Georgia Weapons Carry License
You cannot store your guns in your dorm
GA meetup when?
>>33862922
I can neither confirm nor deny that I had a gun in my backpack at all times...
But this law makes me feel 100% comfortable wearing my IWB holster on campus
>>33863041
I'd never hang out with someone who uses a Glock.
>>33862988
KSU
Actually transferred here from UGA. I like the culture on campus much better. Seems way more conservative than UGA was
you still can't have a gun in the dorms, preschools, discipline hearings, and offices.
>>33863072
I don't see a problem with this. The only people living in dorms are gonna be under 21 anyway, so I don't really care about that distinction.
Plus fuck going to a professor's office
>>33862988
SPSU grad here. I will forever be butthurt that my diploma says KSU on it.
I'm glad they finally passed the bill even though it doesn't mean any thing for me any more. Didn't Deal veto it a couple years ago?
>>33863131
yeah, he vetoed last year, so they added some restrictions which appeased him. namely restrictions against carrying in frat houses and day cares.
nonsense if you ask me but a victory overall. I'll be carrying to my finals
>>33863041
there is only one good place and it is north of Kennesaw.
all the other ranges are no fun allowed or are way the fuck in the south.
>>33862970
KSU seems pretty conservative. Ive only been here for 2 semesters, but its waaaaay more conservative than UGA
Lots of GI billers and non-traditional students, who are mostly conservative
>>33863111
trips of truth
the limitations won't be a hindrance for the most part
>>33863157
>>33862988
Sup pussy
>>33863221
>>33863158
>north of Kennesaw
Wouldn't happen to be around Gordon county would it?
>>33863240
There's an indoor range called "Wild West Traders" near the SPSU campus (also close to Dobbins AFB) that charges $12 for all day access to a lane at their indoor range. They don't allow rifles unless you shoot frangible ammo, and the range is only 20 yd, but it's plenty for pistols
>>33863240
>>33863041
Fugg, reading comprehension a shit
There's an outdoor public range 45 mins away from athens and iirc there's one up north too
>>33863240
Chestnut Mountain WMA range, just before Dalton and off I75 going north from Atlanta.
>no range officer
>free if you disregard the 5 dollar parking fee that is on the honor system.
>>33863308
What distance is the range? 100 yd?
>>33861272
Bump
>>33863339
100 yards like any other wma range.
the other alternative is clybel wma range. it is south of I 20, east of atlanta, just southeast of Covington.
it cost money, but it has separate pistol and rifle ranges, and a shotgun range to shoot clays. closed on sundays though.
>>33863308
The last time I went to that one I offered to help another guy carry his gun cases to the benches. He let me shoot his Winchester 73 and M1 garand. I mostly sit on my porch and shoot stuff in my yard in Resaca though.
>>33863431
Thanks anon,
Im definitely gonna check out Chestnut Mt WMA range
>>33863468
the dirt road to the range is rough in one spot. a sometimes wet, but usually dry, creek cuts through the road. so there is a low dip full of stones. My honda insight made it through fine.
>>33863494
I drive a pickup, so I should be ok
Thanks again
when bitches
>>33861272
even back when I was there, GT had a problem with off campus niggers because GT is smack downtown atlanta
i predict some shootings at GT those engineers don't fuck around
I was really expecting Deal's RINO ass to veto it again like he did last year. It still needs a lot of improvement, but damn if this isn't a major victory.
>Go to UF
>have gun clubs
>no campus carry
>tfw
Sheeeit. Lucky GAbros. The best we can do is keep our shit secured in our cars.
>>33862988
I go to SPSU technically, i was a freshman when they got bought, I'm getting my first gun soon but I don't know if I wanna carry a 60ds rhino around campus. Its just too big.
Texas fag here. Campus carry in Texas saved lives this week at UT Austin. Congrats.
Leaf here you guys are so lucky
Don't they make glocks in Smegma Georgia now?
>>33865381
ayy i go to ut austin too i have a gen3 glock19
This was one of the prohibitted places on the bill
>Any room or space being used for classes related to a college and career academy or other specialized school
what the fuck does that mean?
related to a college?
Gatech here
Yeet

>>33867428

Yeah, you guys and ga state actually need it.
>>33863041
>Not being in the GA group chat
>Not helping plan all the meets
It's honestly worth it even if it's ate up with tripfags.
OR fag here. This would be rad, as it means I'd move my gun from my backpack to my IWB.
OR is a funny place. The university system forbids any kind of carry, but has lost every court battle they've entered concerning a student found carrying with a permit.
>>33861272
GA fag here. Saw this earlier today. doesnt really apply to me cause I dont go to school. But this is awesome. Great push in the right direction.
>>33863308
Been there once. That place is great. I've heard that cops will sometimes drive by there to give tickets if you dont pay the parking fee. It's worth it for that range.
>>33867419
http://georgiacareeracademies.org/
It looks like "college and career academy" refers to a specific organization that does skills training for underprivileged people.
This doesn't affect us
>>33865391
Yup, our state has been contaminated.
And HK is opening up a location here soon too.
>>33867848
why are companies that bring jobs to GA a bad thing?
>>33862913
>so you wouldn't be able to carry in a dorm even if you were 21
Stupid question, but is there a difference between carrying and storing in a dorm here?
>>33861272
>>33861507
>>33861800
>>33863041
Get out faggot and take your shitty glocks with you
>>33863308
You also need a GORP pass to use WMA facilities or go innawoods on WMA land.
State Fish and Wildlife officers WILL check and WILL write tickets if your papers aren't in order komrad.
