Hey /ic/
I am not from this board, so this is my first time posting so please, if what I am asking is considered "rude" here then I apologize.
I was hoping one of you would be down to provide artwork for my soundcloud. I have been working on music all year and am near ready to release my songs, however I have no artwork yet for my tracks, and am really just hoping to to have a mutual relationship with an artist where I can be an additional platform to advertise their work.
Anyone interested?
I'm posting this image because I saw it in a thread a few days ago and I love the style. I hope the creator sees this post.
thank you. (:

We accept Bitcoin, Etherium, or Fiat if you're that much of a filthy normie.
if you don't state a budget what's the point in posting
If you're intending to pay then you might have better luck at going to various art sites, looking for artist that do commissions, and search for an artist whose art style and genre is something similar to what your looking for. If you're looking for a I'll scratch your back and you scratch mine relationship, then that's gonna be much more difficult pretty much anywhere.
there has to be some photoshop plugin to automate this
LazyNezumi?

You have the perspective tool like in illustrator.
Feeling something that only fellow artists could understand, or generally related to your progression as an artist? Have no friends? Post about your feelings here so we can pretend to have meaningful connections with other people.
Pic not related, I just like it.

>when you can't relate to non-artists or hold conversations with them
>when you have trouble finding an artist gf who is actually good at art
>when people at work look at you funny when you say the weekend was good because you stayed inside and painted the whole time
>tfw paint something in color and it looks better in b&w
>drawing together with some kids at a family reunion to entertain them
>one of them says "You're so good at drawing anime"
>my parents are under the impression my goal is to become a professional mangaka
>acquaintances that also draw tease me about drawing weeb shit
I don't even fucking draw anime
>year later, STILL haven't decided if I want to go the full freelance digital art path or say fuck it, enroll into a college for 4 years so I can get a work visa to work in a US company
how can a decision be this hard?
freelance eggnog..... fuck companies.
How to meditate? I believe many of you do this in order to become a better artist, so can you share any tips when it comes to meditation?
>>3100400
Learn to sit with good posture as you'll need to be comfortable. Starting out you should t overdo it, 5-10 minutes sessions. Focus on he breath, that's all there is to it. But it's not so easy, you will be assaulted with random thoughts, sounds, and discursive internal chatter. When you notice these distractions, don't try to suppress them or chastise yourself for getting off track. Just acknowledge the thought and return your focus to your breath. It's a process of constantly resetting your attention, which is why total boobs can't just sit down and meditate for 20 minutes or an hour. Anyone who tells you they meditated for a couple hours the other day, almost fell asleep, etc, is doing it wrong, sitting on the floor and keeping your mouth shut is not the same as mediation

Total noobs*
Lots of resources online for this though. Ignore anythin that sounds too esoteric because it ain't about magic and mystery.
>>3100400
Dunno I just lie in a comfortable pose and concentrate on something.
What was old /ic/ like? I'm sure it was a good place to go for realistic and helpful critique back in the day.
It was more or less of the same, only with fewer noobs dismissing Andrew Loomis as a "meme".

More memes, more drawfags. Less shitposters from /pol/. Moderation

Who are these people even supposed to be?
Has digital art fucked your eyes?
I already had shit sight before doing digital art, my eyes are going to shit, without glasses I can read about 15 cm away from my face.
How fucked can your eyes get?
digital art is less of a strain on your eyes than traditional art or even something like reading a book, you idiot.

optom student reportin for duty
Your short sightedness doesn't necessarily have to be from digital art, there's a heavy genetic influence on it as well as the amount of time you spend outdoors/looking far away. I'm guessing since you're posting on 4chan its too late for your shortsightedness progression to be significantly halted anymore, as most of your eye growth will have already occurred in puberty, but you should consider talking to your optometrist about Orthokeratology lenses, which have been shown to reduce short sight progression. Also get some regular checkups when you get older because your short sightedness puts you at higher risk of retinal detachments (going blind) as you age.
Also as you hit around 40s to 50s the refractive properties of the lens in your eye changes, so you'll actually see a slight improvement in your short sightedness, but considering the best you can do is 15cm it will be negligible.

>Also get some regular checkups when you get older because your short sightedness puts you at higher risk of retinal detachments (going blind) as you age.
Not OP but that scares the shit outta me. My eye twitches a lot lately, need to change glasses. Thanks for the reminder
How accurate is this for you?
Even as a literal nobody, I would love to see my art being shared by people who know how to appreciate it, with or without credit. These artists need to stop being such pussies.
I disagree
Don't even have a blog but often when I find art I like I want to find the artist. When I can't find it it's frustrating, I have no interest in looking at countless random blogs.
I saw an edit of mine being reblogged over 5k times. Didn't mind it at all but I'm sure I'd care if it was a drawing. Think of all the potential audience an artist could've lost.
>>3100059
It's accurate if you're an artist under the age of 14 or suffer some form of autistic attachment to your art.
After publishing art, I often soon complete forget about it and just start working on my next piece. People can do whatever they want with it at that point.
>>3100059
Like, retweet, comment and donate if possible? Why don't you commission them for work, tumblrfag?
List what you've used and how it affected your art.
Alcohol
Cigarettes
Weed
Hash
Truffles
Ketamine
Speed/Dexamphetamine
Cocaine
XTC
MDMA
LSD
DMT
I noticed my imagination became a lot louder and more clear when using LSD. I use it to put my sketches on paper, Finding the right angles, lens width and color pallet. Rendering it now would be too boring. That's where dexamphetamine comes in handy. It makes me sit down and do all the work while i'm super focused, and makes every little bit actually fun.
DMT could be used to put your feed back on the ground, It was an enormously humbling experience for me. Made me think crazy fast, coming to all kinds of new views about the world. Like the song 'Divine Moments Of Truth' -Shpongle
I'm diagnosed with Add and the above works really wel for me.
Tell me what works for you, hopefully we can learn from each other. Please post your work too.
>weed
Didn't really have that noticeable of an effect on my art and I eventually gave up on it due to increased anxiety and lack of REM sleep.
>adderall
Helped me power through some big commissions and had fun drawing on it but is too difficult for a asocial person like me to obtain. Also, dealing with the crash isn't pleasant.
>shrooms
I had A LOT of fun drawing while on a low-dose but the resulting doodles were pretty shitty. A higher dose was basically impossible for me to do any actual work with since I was too caught up in the experience. The headache after was hell.
Drugs can be fun but they haven't really benefitted me in terms of art. I very rarely ever do them now and find that working sober is best.
Also here's a boring sketch page.
The white and the black, Yin and Yang of the universe. Without one the other does not exist.
Sometimes, its not the upfront meaning that is interesting, it is what lies beneath. The white on black represents the artists anguish, with a bit of adolescent nuance.
Cunt. What does Cunt really mean.
Cunt is a verb, a cunt. As it were. Is not a nice thing, and at the same time, it is. Cunt, almost like the black and the white, yin and the yang has 2 states.
The entire piece, seems to show the artists hatred towards something, Which at the same time he cannot exist without. Government. Provides him with the means to live, the means to complain. To complain about government. Without one, the other does not exist freely.
Can you guys improve this. Try to really dig deep. I hate my art course and I want to leave with a bang.
This is art if you think hard enough.
>hear about how useful flipping canvas is
>try it out
>have to scroll all the way over to the other side of the canvas to see what its like and then back again

If you know sai then you know CSP, just some things are worded differently but behave in the exact same way.
This is the BEST I can do at the moment and I know it's not very good. Do I even have skill to hone or would I be wasting my time?
Sorry for low quality photo, only have shit camera.
>>3098544
Depends, how long were you drawing and how old are you?
If you don't realize that getting anywhere in art requires time and practice (no matter your skill level) you probably wouldn't have gotten far in art anyway. Go back to your videogames.
I'm imagining a child browsing ic and getting so discouraged as to create this thread. A sad thought.
You don't need permission to draw! You're free! You don't need advice on every little thing. You have your own brain. Put it to use!

Do you have other works?
You should master the rules before breaking them.Do something realistic and them do as many anime**** as you want
