I just bought a new cintiq 13 HD
And the screen sometimes goes off and turns on again after two seconds, what is this?
Drivers up to date
ports and connection are all right triple checked.
The cintiq is new, but it also happened to me with a 13HD from a friend.
My 12wx works normally so the HDMI port on my Laptop couldn't be the problem.
Why the 13HD is doing this?
Help? I couldn't find anything online.

Dude, are you trying to be Willem de Kooning or something? Calm down, try painting some clear figurative stuff, too. Abstract is great, but it's kinda old IMO.
Also, the chest looks flat and lacking in perspective and volume.
Other than that, this painting is good.

Does anyone actually like Jung Gi?
Sure his drawing skill is undeniably high, but he's a shit artist. The composition is cluttered, the movement is ugly, the perspective is painful, and the theme is TRULY bottom of the barrel. Has he even done anything with dramatic shading? It's like he was gifted with artistic skills but cursed with zero artistic sensibility. No one's perfect, right.

I kind of agree? His technical skills are fantastic, but yeah his layouts are jumbled, and are either gimmicky three point shots or fish eye lens style. Terada is an artist of equal talent, but with a much greater sense of composition and restraint.

What's the deal with the small art galleries? I see them sprout up from everywhere and i can't see how they can be successful at all. I visited one today during an event, and it kinda left a weird taste in my mouth. The paintings there were mostly really simple studies with the price tag of 1400€ - 2000€.

I've been having some trouble doing figure drawings, and I need some pointers to get an idea of what the hell I'm doing. I tried doing 30 second sketches, but that's just not enough time for me, so I saved a couple of the ones I took 5 minutes to do for this.
So I guess the question is, am I capturing the spirit of the gesture at all? What am I missing?

So what's the consensus on this guy? I genuinely enjoy his videos, first and foremost because of his intuitive way of explaining things but also because he's entertaining and it's interesting to see an entire piece be made from start to finish with commentary, essentially taking you through the whole process.
He's not the greatest artist out there but all the principles he tries to pass on are generally solid.
