Only the most unnerving surrealism please
>>3104950
That's not surrealism. It can be described as surreal or surrealistic, but it has nothing to do witht the art movement of surrealism.
is it possible to be accidentally good at drawing? like you just practice a bit and internalize everything, then as you see things you can draw it?

>>can i get a bigger dick by masturbating
gets bigger for 5 minutes
no. You might be ever so slightly better than your peers who are just starting out if you've built related skills doing something else (photography can give you a solid sense of composition, anatomy classes will give you a basic understanding of anatomy) but the act of drawing itself is really fucking hard, and the only way to get "good" is by actively pushing yourself to be better, practicing regularly, and learning from people who are better than you. none of the people in the inspo threads got there by accident.
so what software do you faggots use?
mines:
sai
artrage

Now I'm just using procreate, but it's kinda limiting me so I might go back to Clip Paint Studio to finish my pieces. Anyway it's so comfortable to just use an Ipad that I'll have a hard time going back to the Intuos + PC.
>>3102570
i've never tried ipad, but it seems hard to me what with the lack of hotkeys
>>3102567
I use Sai as well, everything else is too complicated
Is loomis a fucking meme or not? Can someone post proof that they got really good reading this boring crap?
how retarded are you that you can't identify if something is good advice by yourself
>>3104049
You're kidding right? Yes it's a meme.
His books are bad for beginners and outdated
Are there any other great artists that does full paintings with circle/non-texture brushes like pic related? I really like the look of it and want to study more artists with a similar approach
This looks bad.
>>3103429
>>3103429
It's a round brush. And there are lots of artists who use it. Pic related is Kimbum.
>>3103652
It looks good you knob
What's a good program to use for digital drawing?
Clip Studio Paint
Photoshop master race
>>3103305
Photoshop.
If you're looking for a free and open-source program try Krita.
How I'm supposed to get exposure on tumblr? I never seen to get likes from people who doesn't follow me already, unlike Instagram... Which leaves me questioning the usefulness of the tags.
Also, what do you anons think are the best places to post artwork?
>>3100633
use as many tags as possible
>>3100633
comprehensive guide on how to use tumblr:
1. follow blogs that you can pull information from
2. use said information to improve
that's it. if you're not getting attention, it's because you suck at whatever you're doing and you're not good enough for whatever market you're trying to enter.
Also do stuff that's popular. Normally don't get too many notes (~25 per image) but did a Ragnarok Online pic with that tag and it got over 150 likes/shares/whatevers. Not sure if that's any good since I mostly post on (and prefer) Pixiv but it seems popular shit makes a difference.
How do you achieve this kind of crosshatched brushwork look in painting, like what I see many Chinese artists use? Is there any practical and consistent workflow to achieve that?
More examples:

Probably just layering jagged digital brushes at varied opacities. Looks like shit imo.
How do i find the center of a plane in perspective?

Thanks for the quick reply anon :D

I'm convinced no one here reads the sticky anymore.
So a few months ago, I came across an image that had the faces of Milo, Alex, Paul, Mike and many other anti-globalist faces all in one image. It was in a brown-orange and black toned color scheme and it was really nice. I was wondering if anyone had this saved somewhere.
>>3104176
>anti-globalist
>afraid to name the jew
i have it but i'm not gonna give it to you for being a cuck.
I was trying to take a break from the meme wars and just appreciate a cool piece. I'm sorry, master. Next time I'll make sure to name the big evil stinky jewy bears.
I like drawing
I like writing stories
I like reading comics
But I don't enjoy making comics. I mean I'm satisfied when I complete a page but the process itself isn't enjoyable. Thoughts?
You don't enjoy making comics then
Why the fuck is this a question?
>>3103360
Same, when writing i can explore my ideas as soon as they come up, when drawing i can devote what little i know to do the best i can put out. Since drawing comics puts constraints to thevthings i enjoy fron two diferent media it just not as enjoyable.
So? Just make illustrations then and write something for them. Or do these two things seperate.
I for one enjoy making comics, I like the whole progress.
Tell me what to draw and i will draw it
Big muscular guy. Make it hot.
Why a guy? most of this board draws cowtit anime chicks. It's so bad that when there are challenges to draw a guy anons genderbend him.

please, i want to see this. you don't have to put a ton of polish in it OP but don't half-ass it, this could be a really good thread.
I'd like to see you draw a skull, then add to it to make it a face. don't gotta be super technical about it, i like to make very very loose skull shapes (i dont even bother with the teeth or the cracks, just tryina grasp that 3d form) and then add major facial features on top.
We are setting up some props and can not decide if this thing is red or orange. The debate has been heated for a long time. So, is this stupid thing red or orange?
>>3102461
i'd say red
blood orange
>>3102461
It's red-orange
what is the lowest level professional, or person making a living off of art that you've seen (not on patreon)? can you show their work? I just want to see how skilled is "enough"
Kinda retarded question, since you can be earning 200 USD per month and if you live in a shithole country with weak currency its gonna be enough to "live off of art". And with personal commissions you can be literally drawing stick figures and still find clients.
>>3101724
Me? I'm just kidding, it's all of you beneath me and my outstanding skills.
enough is whatever you've found to work. some make a living pouring paint over a spinning canvas by convincing retards it's art. some study their entire lives and never sell anything. marketing skill is all you need for money and any artistic skill you have will be detrimental to this effort.
Pieces that have amazing rendering but abysmal drawing errors.
>>3103398
You start OP.
>>3103416
Post your work.
