Fuck this. Which is a nice notebook to draw on Photoshop and animate in ToomBoom? Maybe even use After Effect.
>>2984941
Laptops are shit for anything creatively demanding. Always buy a desktop.
>>2984947
if people did it in the early 2 thousands, than a laptop these days can, it might be hard, but still doable. a laptop with HD 5000 built in graphics card family shit and about 4-8 gigs of ram should be ok to do most shit, as long as you don't plan on working on a michael bay film.

Nigga, I have been practicing and doing comissions for 3 years in a notebook. It's fine; and had the advantage that I can carry it around.

This sadly took me like 10 minutes.
Why does a board filled with drawfags never draw their mascot?
Because it's a shit, boring mascot.
>>2959592
like all of us, more reason to draw it
>>2959574
im pretty sure there was a thread a few years back where anons would draw the dick. Check the archive
Is drawing a good way to make people like you? I'm very lonely
They will like your drawing's message first, then your drawing style, after that, for they'll decide if they like you too.
If you're going for fame, make fan arts of famous franchises of the month or go for relateable slice of life comics.

I'm trying to fill the void of being a hermit and having no one
all I can say is...the more I've gone into art, and the more miserable I became not getting gud at art, the more friends I've lost. But that's just me. FOREVER ALONE!
Din' do nuffin.
That's a weighted base, surely - and not a heavy conscience?

Pretty cool how the image is in higher res if you click it.
>>2987328
>higher res
the res doesn't change you fucking idiot, the thumbnails just have lossier compression which leads to artifacting which means the actual image looks cleaner
So I plan on making a scifi fanatasy story about a freelance reporter.
Jacki Weeberstien grew up amidst a massive war where two main factions seekbto either preserve or destroy the universe. Now that she has turned 22, she wants to go out and cover the war.
However, she seems to be biased and wants one side to win for obvious reasons. However, she was never told why the one faction wanted to destroy the universe in the first place. In fact, she doesn't seem t question it, seeing that as an utterly horrid thing.
But along her travels, she finds that not only humans make up 20% of all life in the observable universe, but also that large settlments have gone missing.
We start with her on a recently ransacked world when United Cosmic Civil Defense (UCCD) finally arrives to look for amy possible survivors.
It is here when she meets the leaeder of the main warring factions she idolizes, Joe King (shut up. He likes to be called king joe). He plans on giving her a exclusive interview, as well as a job writting for his propgantastic news if she can revial any information she has come across involving the opposing faction...
I'll be happy to share other info as to regards for this comic I want to make.
Infact, I have a dinky little deviant art if you guys want to see. I just want a little feedback.
And by a little, I mean as to how I can simplify my art more, where I can save an outline for the comic and what kind of cheap little computer I can get

put more of the paintbrush in it, ideally covering some of the picture, and also extend the angle that the painting is displayed at to something even more annoying.
So what classes are actually worth taking here? I've got my eye on the Terryl Whitlach one.

How do the subscriptions work is it monthly and I can cancel it anytime or is it yearly?
>>2986673
They have a FAQ about that. I assume just like any other subscription service you decide beforehand if you want to be billed monthly, so you can cancel before each month or if you want to pay for half a year or a full year in advance, in which case you'll save a bit of money but are stuck with it.
From the FAQ:
>To cancel your monthly subscription and stop automatic payments, you can email us at [email protected] and we’ll take care of the rest!
Seems a bit fishy to me that you have to email them to cancel your subscription though. Chiu must be making quite a bit of money off of people who simply forgot about their subscription and keep paying him.

She's cute, she improved a shitload, she's Russian, and I'm super jealous. What the fuck did she do to get this gud? And how do you win the genetic lottery too?
practice practice pratice. also this girl in particular seems to be using alot of photobashing which can increase your skill level in a very short time if you know how to use it sparingly.
>>2983471
Do you really think she's bashing? Arghhh that's so discouraging, I'm really against it. But she seems like she's trying oils so there has to be some skill there for sure. And even if you photo bash, it's not like you can get that realistic palette out of no where...does anyone know if she had any training? The beautiful palette and values are driving me crazy.

Most of /ic/ is horribly misguided about reference, thinking reference = copy. Yes, you should learn anatomy. Yes, you should draw from life. Yes, drawing from imagination or otherwise with a constructive method has its benefits, and may be very useful depending on what career you have in mind.
If you hate tracing, copying shit with a grid or sight size, or photobashing, you probably shouldn't do it. You should be comfortable with your working method, since you can't possibly make art if you hate every second of it.
Also drawing "from imagination" is not a working method. Drawing constructively is a working method (as opposed to copying the reference 1:1), and it does not imply drawing without reference. What changes is that you're simply using reference as an aid, and you're building its forms instead of copying flat shapes.
What's really puzzling is the inconsistency of an entire board completely missing this point while peddling Loomis or Vilppu, who both use a constructive method while looking at reference (models).
How can an 80HD Fag find the motivation and the concentration to practice art? I've always loved art but I've struggled to pursue it, I've always had a bit of skill but I don't know where to build on it
>>2986598
you don't, you give up and stop shitposting with acronyms i have to google for your adhd

Go to some drawthread somewhere on the internet and draw their requests.
That's what I do.
And also cut out unneeded internet shit. For real.
Show the progress you've made this year ( just curiosity, I've started now)
last year fall i was rushing and pressured to make 'stylized' work but it was just too early
now im drawing whatever.
All from imagination except for the lower left
Good effort. Keep it up. You are getting somewhere.
