I've made like zero progress this year. I dunno, maybe i'm in my comfort zone? I reckon I'd make more progress if I did colors and values. it's funny because when I first started this daily sketch thing in sept of 2015 i was making rapid progress and then in 2017 I flatlined. I'm currently working on a comic right now so I can get outta my comfort zone.

I don't draw
digital is just aesthetically wack, there is hardly any good digital shit out there. if you can be an exception Ill encourage it - otherwise stick to traditional.

If you can't make a trad drawing with a simple pencil on paper, you are not an artist

What does that have to do with anything? Every good digital artist is also a better traditional artist than you are by default.

Did you draw this? If not. Source?
2017 hasn't been an impressive change visually I don't think, but in terms of my own confidence it's been a good year. I'm doing a lot more stuff from imagination (thus a drop in quality compared to photostudies) but now I don't get as paralyzed without the 'perfect ref'.
