How smart was he?

Not very

Then why did he become the most powerful man in Europe?
>>1851315
> Who is Stalin
Why hasn´t it been invated in all history since its founding?
Because it's a fucking mountain
Because you're shit at history

DESU even anti demoted should admit that Dreyfus was unfairly accused and convicted
>>1850756
It became obvious that Dreyfus was innocent but the French government didn't give a shit because DAH JEEEEWS.
The whole affair was just retarded. Even the initial evidence they used barely held any water. I mean really? "This ripped up note I found in a trashcan as handwriting that is sorta like the handwriting of that one Jew officer we have."

When did soldiers become the strongest harbingers of history?
Has it always been the case?
5.5k bc in mesopotamia is when they surpassed warriors.
>>1850615
>implying there's a difference
Armies made of soldiers who aren't also warriors don't last for long

Unless you live in the modern era
Wealth=Power
Power= dictatorship from the 1%. We are sheeple. History has shown that. Thought?
I dunno, sometimes wealth just isn't really a power like in Russia where rich are always cucked in the end...
>>1850412
>Russia
Probably the worst possible example to refute OP, since it's literally ruled by billionaire kleptocrats.
>>1850408
>sheeple
Define this a little better. Do you mean to imply that we are oblivious to our powerlessness, unwilling to change it, or unable to change it?
A quelling of the rebellion, perhaps?

I'm glad to see this meme spread to other boards.
Can't find this information with a simple Google search figured maybe you people could help out , if you could supply a sauce with your answer much appreciated
They were part of the Luftwaffe
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luftwaffe_Field_Division
both
you got it backwards
its not like classes get organized into a unit
a unit contains the needed and available equipment and personel
so in your case a sniper is usually a riflemen issued with a specific rifle for a specific role but still part of his platoon
ad hoc field oranganized groups can and did exist but they are not the standard
an avarage german squad consisted of 2 officers with submachineguns, 6 riflemen and a light machinegun (light meaning not fixed position, hand carried, with a loader gunner and ammo carrier)
3 squads makes a platoon
then there are heavy weaponry platoons and assault platoons which are the exceptions and they are specifically assigner to their division/corps/army while could still namely part of their mother division
military organization is not a movie
>implying no one wore horned helmets

>>1849848
I dont think anyone implied that

Is "intellectual honesty" a spook?
It can be. Though why someone would make it spooky is beyond me.
No it's actually the opposite of a spook
>>1849836
Absolutely. It is an immaterrial thing you allow to have power over you. It is a spook par excellance.
why was this dickhead, who massacred surrendering troops during several battles, allowed to surrender after yorktown?
They didnt want to waste his tender boypussy

>“Afterwards, in England, he had the effrontery to boast, in the presence of a lady of respectability, that he had killed more men and ravished more women than any man in America.” – Washington Irving
Not even a Brit but this guy was based as fuck
>>1849233
If it makes you feel any better he was the only British officer who didn't receive an invitation to dinner. He probably would have burned the house down anyways, so I guess this makes sense.......
After the Revolution, Tarleton went home, was knighted, promoted, and elected to Parliament for Liverpool, where he became a vocal advocate of not ending the slave trade. Known as Sir Banastre Tarleton, First Baronet as of 1815, he wrote his memoirs, then spent 15 years hooking up with the most famous actress in England – a woman he only went out with because a friend bet him that he couldn't get her. He lived to be 78 :)
How to organise historical documents?
I save a lot of treaties, speeches etc. and when I organise them, if I put the date at the beginning it gets all fucked up because of the BC and AD addition so it will be organised as:
file 1: 1993 AD
file 2: 1993 BC
file 3: 2001 AD
rather than
file 1: 1993 BC
file 2: 1993 AD
file 3: 2001 AD
so in order to fix this, I put AD and BC at the front which results in:
file 1: AD 1993
file 2: AD 2001
file 3: BC 1993
BUT as you can see, the BC comes AFTER the AD. THIS IS REALLY FUCKING ANNOYING.
maybe I am just being a retard but can someone help me by giving me a method to organise these files.
I don't want to use BCE and CE because that is fucking gay! That doesn't even bring up the problem of smaller numbers as we get closer to AD 0 from BC.
>>1849062
Store them in separate folders, you fucking moron
>>1849070
Store what in separate folders? Have separate folders for AD and BC, that's fucking stupid! Don't you like seeing a natural progression in documents? A chronology?
And what if I have a folder for a specific thing like the roman empire, do I have a folder entitled the 'Roman Empire' and then 'AD' and 'BC' within it?! That is UGLY.
>>1849080
Since you don't want to streamline your shit, just fucking tag the files and sort by tag
How would they be remembered if they'd been Christian instead of Muslims. If Muslim children had been made into Janissaries? If they'd genocided Iraqis instead of Armenians?

>>1849107
Because byzantines are known as an evil crusader state
No one even knows about their eunuchs and iconoclasm.
Did people unironically believe in this for hundreds of years?
>>1848962
It was and is adaptive.
>>1848962
I'm not sure, I really can't grasp things like this in classical thought. How the hell is wet and damp so important of a characteristic, or soft and hard?
They are still believing in this.

Legalism objectively. Not even up for debate.
I'm a junior college pleb and know fuck all about history. What classes should I take?
An broad-range ancient history course, and then follow up with more specific courses in whatever culture, region, group, etc. you were most interested in, alongside a more recent history overview (like 1500-1900, nothing in the last 50 years, you're better off doing an independent study for that)
Then just study what you're interested for a while until you fill the gaps in your knowledge.
