Of all the semitic religions it's certainly the most individualist, probably because it's morality (and many of its stories) were borrowed from earlier Greek thought. They understood right and wrong since they are humans, made in the image of God, aka rational. There was no confusion that God said "don't do this" and what that meant. The problem was Eve put her faith in the devil and what he said above what God said. The knowledge of Good and Evil that came afterwards is the knowledge of their depravity and separation from God that their actions caused, in a visceral and experiential way. Which led them to be insecure, ashamed of their bodies, etc..

Give Mesopotamia and Parts of Syria to Saudi Arabia, so that they can get their big pan-arab state just as the wished for. The coastal parts of the Levant are kept under international mandate. Parts of Eastern Turkey and Northwestern Mesopotamia are used in order to create Kurdistan/Armenia, also the Turks get to keep Constantinople. Furthermore I'd restrict Jewish immigration or at least spread the Jews evenly across the Levant, so that we can keep the sandniggs from chimping out.
