infiltration tactics such as the above were being developed as early as 1916 and by most combatants

the one thing the germans pioneered was gathering up veteran soldiers into dedicated formations

this also proved to be their undoing as they inevitably suffered high losses and so were doubly weakened - the german manpower situation was bad to begin with, but losing experienced cadres further added to the injury

I disagree. Yeah, some of the words are translated incorrectly but these are few and far between. The translation is consistent with the structure of the oral traditions from which most of the books likely derived, and is thus much more eloquent than prose translations. I would rather quote some pleasant or poignant line from KJV than the clunky equivalent from NIV or Douay–Rheims.

ALL your counties save for two are silk road routes. That's loadsa money. In my experience I tend to raze all castle holdings outside of my personal demense, so I will only have republic/theocracy vassals, therefore no one will challenge your rule.

one-man one-county is great, since most landed characters have one-trade post limit per character, and owning only one county each means all of those counties will have trade posts.

Also make friends with your nomad brothers. They won't hurt you if you keep marrying them/give them stuff/whatever.
