So, did America win the Vietnam War?
>>1941286
"No."
>>1941286
No, absolutely not.
t. Burger
Yes, of course.
T. proud Chinese man.
>Criticize Protestants for actually believing their religious teachings
>Criticize Pagans for actually not believing their religious teachings
Why do P*pists do this?
Just give your hard earned money to the infallible Pope already !
>>1940978
Protestants are wrong. Pagans are edgy teenage stormfags who don't actually believe in anything. There is no salvation outside of the church
>>1940978
>Worship idols and celebrate Pagan holidays, but not really!
>Believe in the bible, but not so much!
Catholicism is a political ideology not a religion.
Why do we vote for a single person to run out country? I don't understand why their personal opinions matter more than the opinions of The People. Wouldn't the wiser course of action be to vote on the individual issues and not the "lesser of two evils"? What if instead we stopped electing individual people and start electing the ideas of our nation.
How can we really be a great nation if we keep back stepping with every election?
(Not an Anti-Trump rant, btw)
Because people are retarded and their opinions are easily swayed by others who are good at manipulating.
You could easily make people vote for unfavorable things for them if you'd just force your opinion through media and the internet
>>1940934
>what is a representative democracy
>>1940945
I'm not referring to the bureaucracy. People vote for the president because they agree with 5/7 of what he/she stands for. No one actually votes on the issues. Sure, congress and the senate are there to make sure the president doesn't do whatever they want. When's the last time you voted for abortion laws, healthcare issues, etc individually and not based on who was in office.
Does he/they/it?
Why?
Why not?
>>1940920
But does he exist tho?
>>1940937
>Butthurt t*rks can't stand that Muhammad (PBUH) was an Arab so they need to LARP some horsefucker
>>1940919
There is no reason to suppose that the judeo-christian god exists. Or that he doesn't.
However, reason is a non-factor in belief. One believes because he does, and one disbelieves for the same reason.
Why is American education always prone to whitewashing when it comes to non white history like the spread of Islam but tell it like it is when it comes to white guilt subjects like slavery?
Pic related. How terrible he was treated because he was black. Had no reason that he tried raping a teenage girl. Its all about skin color.
>>1940900
I don't think Americans learn about the spread of Islam. Or really any "non-white history" that happened outside of North America.
>>1940900
Your public education barely covers other countries.
>>1940902
Truthfully, does anyone ever learn?
So I was just playing Shogun 2 for the first time and I don't know that much Jap history but who the fuck are these guys exactly? The Ashigaru?
Wasn't Japan like possessing of a meme warrior class whose sole job was to fight? So are Ashigaru samurai? Or some in betweener between peasant and warrior caste?
You probably one of those people who think Medieval warfare was conducted exclusively by knights.
Samurai weren't a strictly defined caste until the Tokugawa era, when the shogunate passed a number of laws delineating who qualified to be in the caste and regulations on their dress and behaviour.
The Sengoku period takes place before that, when social mobility was considerably higher.
Is it true that Byzantine iconoclasm actually predates the ban on images in Islam?
No, the first iconoclast period came shortly after Islam and small-scale proto-iconoclasm came around the same time.
No iconoclasm gained momentum exactly because of the Muslims, as the Byzantines saw their losses as divine retribution and scrambled for something that they were doing wrong.
So yes, in theory the theological idea that idols were wrong existed but the Byzantines acted on it/saw it relevant only after the Muslims.
Why as philosophy gotten more and more cringe the closer you get to modern times? What explains this evolution of life becoming less about why and more about how?
>>1940819
Can you elaborate on that?
>>1940823
>2,000 years ago
>what is the meaning of life
>how do I be a perfect boyfriend
Philosophy and science were born in the same cradle, from the same fathers. Eventually science got too far ahead. 2 thousand years ago you had to explain the model of the universe and your views on soul and life after death in the same book. Not anymore.
It is said that while the Aztecs and the other Nahuatl Speaking peoples were familiar with the wheel, it never was used in a practical capacity because of the lack of animals to hitch them on.
How true was this?
What are lamas and other domesticable camelids?
>>1940807
Worthless as pack animals.
>>1940810
Because Old World animals evolved naturally with capability of being beasts of burden, right?

Okay but I don't understand how he contributed to philosophy. I know he was a great mathematician but I do wonder what his main thoughts were concerning philosophy.
>>1940781
First Meditations. It's not that long. Be warned that shit like dualism is beyond retarded.
What the FUCK was his problem?
>>1940529
In order to answer your question, I must first understand the nature of a problem. :^)
>>1940529
Do you know he had a problem? Or do you merely think you know he had a problem
>>1940529
I see, but what would you say is a problem? What is not a problem?
I am afraid I don't know for certain myself, perhaps you could teach me?
I heard Leonardo da Vinci was a pretty big guy. Is it true?
I knew greeks were into bodybuilding and then there's the quote by Socrates that gets spammed all across fitness forums.
What are some other big guys in history?
Big gals are also welcome.
many people are about to be triggered
but Da Vinci was Half- Arab
his mom was a Arab servant
>>1940521
Explains why he was such a closeted homo.
>>1940524
I don't think that counts as closeted. It was Polichinelle's secret.
Now that the dust has settled, who was the cutest cousin?
nick by far
george would also be acceptable, but definitely NOT wilhelm
>>1940405
Nick.
That's not even a real question.
Nicky.
George is just the inferior version of Nicky.
But Willy is very endearing in other ways despite being the ugliest one.
How well prepared were France, Austria-Hungary, and the USA for WWI as far as weaponry and medicine go?
Very prepared. Very, very, very prepared.
>>1940290
That image is pretty dumb.
Nobody else landed humans (others did land drones) on the Moon because for the resources to do one manned moon mission you can do 50 drone missions which can each do much more, in a much faster timeframe, for much longer and without endangering humans to do... what exactly? Get some worthless rocks? We already have a lot of those. Anything of scientific worth that could be done on the Moon can already be done on the International Space Station.
Basically, it's saying twice that Americans are fucking retarded.
>>1940290
>muh moon landing
>other countries land drones that are safer and more effective.
