Is this a meme, or is there something to it?
>>2050818
I used to read shit from Bauval, Schoch and Hancock back in the 90s but all of them eventually degenerated into Reptilian tier horseshit.
That said there probably is something to the hypothesis but the conclusions it offers are pure garbage.
Geologists believe that it's water erosion due to scientific analysis.
Egyptologists and Historians reject that science because it upsets their timeline.
I'm going to have to go with the SCIENCE on this one as opposed to salty butthurt 'Egyptologists'.

I heard it explained by some old Jew, John Anthony West maybe? Either way, he explained it as a likelihood that ancient Egypt is much older than we thought, and much more advanced than we thought.
>tfw you will never be a Turkish landlord in Serbia who gets to take the virginity of every Serb qt in your domain.
>On the day before her wedding the young Christian bride will be visited by a representative of the landlord (beg, aga). The representative is usually accompanied by a file of soldiers. The representative takes the bride to the house of the landlord for a day and a night, raping her repeatedly, and returns her to her home at dawn on the wedding day.

If you mean Brexit then the UK has always been rather wishy-washy about the whole united Europe project.
A lot of morons didn't take the vote seriously and both sides were deceptive in what the OUT vote would mean in reality as well as how to manage it. Stupid nationalists are the problem.

If Karl Marx was German, why is it that so many Eastern countries like China and Russia picked it up? Hell, communism is even known as the thing that is "contrary to the western world."
>>2050439
Because Russia and China just happened to be two ex-huge empires who went to hell and it just so happens that Communists won?

>Massive recession and destabilization in Ottoman Empire blamed on decadence gives way to new schools of radical idealogies that have evolved into what we see today - late 19th century
>Fall of the Ottoman Empire, complete destrucuralization of traditional Islamic caliphate - early 20th century
>Hurried balkanization of territory captured by French and British empires, which were themselves following out the door only a couple decades later
>Giving power to the Sauds in the first place was a bad idea, because their radical fundamentalist ideologies were terribly incompatible with western powers. We could have salvaged the entire Arab region by giving power to secular moderates.

>Rise of Pan-Arab anti-western nationalism from North Africa all of the way up into the Levant. Struggle for identity takes place in mid 20th century. Coincides with religious sectarian turmoil as hardcore fundamentalists continue to rise in relevance.

Extremely conservative and violent Islamic movements have existed in Islam since the Rashidun Caliphate.
What caused the transition from Nomadic Hunter Gatherers to Settling Farmers.
Why is it such a traumatic event. Nearly all cultures have a story of a former paradies were natur (god) provided for all needs. (Adam & Eve, Dilmun etc.)
What has the Green Sahara period to do with this? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neolithic_Subpluvial
I think those described paradies was the Sahara Desert before drying out. It is a wast area of a good climate full of fertile lands and animals. It could propably supply a very big population of people living their simple lifestyle.
It was propably a very safe and careless survival for the humans there. Until it dries out. This traumatic change caused big suffering to those humans. Was migraztion from there maybe the cause of founding of civilization?

Booze.

What a poor comment. In your 9 year old brain you may think that making such a mentally disabled comment is funny.
Don't post in this thread ever again.

barley and hops plus grapes are the basis of much of the ancient alcohol production, the refinement treatment and production of booze was a huge deal in the ancient world
one of the first sea worthy boats capable of crossing the english channel were indeed transporting wine
So it stands to reason that such high interest in alcoholic beverages might have tipped the scales toward forming permanent settlements.
another reason is security, both in food production and the huge benefits of static fortifications
Why does popular culture revolve around sex/romance whereas the upper echelon are more focused on wonders of nature (natural science/logic/understanding the world/etc)?
Why is there a divide?
>>2050092
Because popular culture is subject to a capitalist imperative and therefore popular demand. More people are interested in the former than in the latter.
>>2050092
Yep, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Disney films and capeshit are actually about sex, you nailed it OP.

Hey guys, I found this wallpaper on /wg/ and I really want to know who all the depicted historical people are - don't recognise many.
If you recognise someone, please just mark them on the wallpaper and post it, so there won't be any confusion.
The above picture is for recognition, this one is so you don't have to mark your own pic and so on. Just write a number and name of the person.

I'm making a science-fantasy setting and I want to know more about schizophrenia and numerous personality disorders. Is there any good books or resources to read about this that won't be too complex to understand? I'm more interested in how it effects someone's behaviour and thought rather than cause and treatment.
All you need to know is the order of disorders:
>Autism
>Depersonalization
>Depression
>Derealization
>Anxiety
>Paranoia
>Schizophrenia
And try to keep in mind that Autism is not an actual disorder. It's the cure, and is about to be re-classified as actual "Personalization", any time now. Hopefully.

>Is there any good books or resources to read about this that won't be too complex to understand?
Check out the imprinted brain theory. There's a blog of it and a book.
It is about the autism spectrum and the schizophrenia spectrum (including bipolar disorder).
I think the blog is slightly better as the book, you can find it at psychologytoday (a shit site but this particular blog is good).
Picture related from the book.
>I'm more interested in how it effects someone's behaviour and thought rather than cause and treatment.
When you see it, you will understand. Not that many words are necessary. source: wikipedia

Redpill me on Stirner, /his/.
What are the arguments against Stirnerian Egotism?
>>2049440
>What are the arguments against Stirnerian Egotism?
There are none. Stirner is the logical conclusion to philosophy.
>>2049462
I heard that Hegel was the logical conclusion to philosophy, and that Stirner, Marx and Bakunin represent a shift from just interpreting the world to being an active subject.
>>2049440
There are none that aren't just Ideologues shitting themselves and misinterpreting Stirner's work.

Import original flag into photoshop, click Layer menu -> New Layer. Draw a dick, draw a cockroach, draw ejaculate shooting from dick onto the cockroach. Write "ALL ROACH MUST DIE" and "YOU ARE WORST TURK" and "CRUSADE WHEN" in the same color as the ejaculate. Filter menu -> Blur -> Radial blur, center it on the dick, repeat x 3, then go to the Layer sidebar and click Opacity and drag the slider down to 0%. Flatten image.
Voila.
They say it means "God with Us''. I think it means "In Man God". Would God be with us, He'd be extremely angry with this interpretation of His name. He'd think, speak and show us all what "God around Us" means, what "God within Us" means, and so on, in no particular order, most likely simultaneously.
>Stop desecrating this name, people.
And then, there's Ishmael. WTF people, who TF writes Wikipedia anyway. Give the man his 2 cents back. Hell, give him 4 cents at that.
>World Trade fucking Center all over again.
As for Samael, meaning "Power and Death of God", no one ever seems to remember why. Agnostics might get it, but they're too preoccupied with the very definition of stupidity, say "percent of brain function currently allocated to social management".
>First person singular is the start of the human mind. The body follows, and there's human health, and so it is within any language out there. Cherish the first word.
And then, there's there's the name "Christian". Why does Christianity celebrate this name on the first day of Christmas? And since so, why do they also celebrate Immanuel on the very same day?
>I don't speak ancient Hebrew or Greek or anything but let me tell you my opinion on why everyone else is wrong
