Why isn't it that throughout history actors have been despised by essentially everyone. Is it their complete lack of a moral compass coupled with a pretentiousness that makes them see themselves as actual artists(lmao) whose lives mean more than others?
(((Hollywood))) excluded

Wow you're pretty handsome for a guy. And I'm straight, I think.

Actors are good liars.
Good liars tend to be bad people.
So let's talk about Russia.
Why has it not contributed anything of exceptional note in history, aside from recent years when it was the Soviet Union?
It seems the personality of Russia is that of a retard. As it has often been used and manipulated by the smarter Western powers for their own ends, especially against Germany, but they don't mess with Russia itself since its a deathtrap even tho it appears to be the retarded child in the classroom of its peers.
Often times I like to think Britain and France are the weaker children combating their big bully Germany, who want their lunch money, so they cry for help to Russia, the bigboi special ed kid and then Germany gets beaten up for being a cunt.
That's how I view Russia atleast, as a contributing ally but not a producing nation in itself.

I'm pretty sure Germany was always like this.

That never happened?
How do I become a Tolstoyan?
Tolstoy's 5 Tenets:
-Live a life without anger
-Live a life without lust
-Avoid taking oaths and promises
-Love your enemies
-Do no combat with evil

I am going to study Russian history for 30min to 1hr every day for a month to get some idea of their history.
I'm looking for recommendations of documentaries, articles, videos, interesting things, or spooky things, mysterious things, or incredible things I should read about, etc.

Why? Are you Russian?

Probably a commie who wants desperately to find the reason for their fall other than Communism.
>b-b-b-but Germany HAD to declare war or else their economy would have collap--
"Germany is becoming too strong. We must crush her.” Winston Churchill To American General Robert E. Wood, in November 1936.
“Germany’s unforgivable crime before the second world war was her attempt to extricate her economic power from the world’s trading system and to create her own exchange mechanism which would deny world finance its opportunity to profit.” Churchill to Lord Robert Boothby, as quoted in: Sidney Rogerson, Propaganda in the Next War (Foreword to the second edition 2001), originally published in 1938.

And yet, in volume one of his six volume series on the build up and eventual catalysts of world war two, Winston Churchill says that the combination of the debts and reparations from WWI and the restrictive treaty of Versailles hurt their economy so much they were forced into the war or a revolution.
I don't mean to be rude, but all you are is a walking chemical reaction.
All your thoughts feelings beliefs and dreams are just a by-product of certain molecules interacting with others.
On the other hand what is the nature of matter? Why does the physical universe exist instead of not existing? with brought it forth? Has it even ever been brought forth, or is that too and illusion? And if reality is constantly expanding then what is it expanding into, seeing as how nothing exists outside of reality? Or does it?
idk lol

>All your thoughts feelings beliefs and dreams are just a by-product of certain molecules interacting with others.
Quantum mechanics has already proven this to be false.

nuh uh.
is it the same god? I don't think it is.
Yahweh and Jehova are the same. Allah is Arabic for God, but yeah, I get what you're saying. They're not the same.
Technically? Sure, inasmuch as Christianity and Islam both amount to sequels to Judaism.
Practically? Hell no. The Godhead makes Christianity vastly different from Judaism and Islam and Jesus fulfilling the Law makes Christianity a lot less violent inherently (note that I do not mean in the way that it is practiced by followers) because Judaism and Islam both have a bit more crazy shit going on.
>>2307244
Christianity is about 600 years older than Judaism
You're confusing Hebrews with Jews, like most people who wrote the Bible did
Is talking about the history of the internet allowed here?

It's more than 25 years old so why not? If you want you can still check newsgroup posts from 1983 or something.

Quite like this, thanks for sharing.
Why does Mises Institute advocates for Anarchism if Mises called anarchists "shallow minded" and was a huge supporter of Democracy?
Who knows. The most those people know about Carl Menger is probably what they've read out of Von Mises. I swear, Mises was smart, but I can guarantee you the people in the Mises institute are not.
Also, on a side note, does anyone find it odd that Von Mises and Keynes viewed production cycles inverted? As in, Von Mises viewed a longer production cycle being associated with an increasing interest rate, and Keynes viewed a decrease in the interest rate being associated with a longer production cycle.

I would like to discuss art.
We seem to be living in a time in which a staggering number of people wish to be recognized and legitimized as "artists", a phenomenon which most likely takes its origins from the 21st century's indefatigable suggestion that everyone must be unique™ in order to stave off the existential horror inherent in the realization that there are seven billion other people in the world who all look and think a lot like you.
In order to make some distinction (if a distinction indeed exists) between the Real Artists and regular shmucks who have a paint set and a Tumblr page, my question to you is this: What exactly makes art "art", and following this, what exactly makes good art "good"?
