Is the equation "racism= prejudice + power" correct? What do you think about it?

>>
If that's true, then the blacks of Jamaica are racist against the whitey, while the whites can't be racist against them

Are violent revolutions required in order to create a communist state?
39 posts and 5 images submitted.
>>
What a boring question
>>
Of course not, look at all the successful social democracies that created communism
>>
Real answer? We wouldn't know since Communism has never been tried before.

The art of domesticating bears was lost after the Finno-Korean Hyper-war.
>>
Probably because they are a lot more hostile than the animals we did domesticate

What i wanna know is why no one domesticated the meese (screw you, it makes more sense)
My grandpa has been around a tamed one at a farm, so it shouldn't have been so hard for tribal people living in their areas for thousands of years

I am looking for a good book to read on the Eastern Empire.

Focus on the military would be nice, but not required.

Books on Belisarius would be p. cool too, but not required.

Byzantium: The Early Centuries
- The Apogee
- Decline and Fall
Three part complete history of the empire by John Julius Norwich (good luck finding physical copies)

History of the Byzantine State
By George Ostrogorsky, a complete history in one volume that skimps on the narrative but offers a lot of charts and graphs.

Grand Strategy of the Byzantine Empire
by Edward Luttwak, which is what you're most probably looking for. Doesn't explicitly focus on military though, you'll also get a lot of strategy on administration, diplomacy, etc.

I'd recommend starting with Norwich's trilogy, its less academic and much easier to read. It's also much more detailed, so its nice to have it as reference when reading the others.

The Supreme Lord said: I am death, the mighty destroyer of the world, out to destroy. Even without your participation all the warriors standing arrayed in the opposing armies shall cease to exist. (11.32)

Thou seest Me as Time who kills, Time who brings all to doom,
The Slayer Time, Ancient of Days, come hither to consume;
Excepting thee, of all these hosts of hostile chiefs arrayed,
There shines not one shall leave alive the battlefield!
— Chapter 11, verse 32

11 posts and 1 images submitted.

Historically yes. British Foreign Policy since 1815 was to divide Europe. They saw just how dangerous a united Europe would be against them in Napoleon's attempt for a continent wide blockade.
>>
>>2300303
Isn't This in any European country's interest too?
>>
>>2300340
Yes. It's just Britain got to pick and choose, so there's a greater bias against them.

Why did the Coalition let Napoleon live... twice.

The first time he was "exiled" he was given a small country to run for fuck sake.

Did the Coalition not want to punish him for all the Coalition troops he had been responsible for killing?
