How does one wage war against the Demiurge?

Asceticism
Acquiring and spreading knowledge

By waging war against his chosen (((people))).
It seems like the media completely ignores the successes of socialism, like the medical care available in Cuba. This in turn leads to further misinformation about socialism within the public, getting them to vote in ways that are not within their interest.
How do we stop socialism being a dirty word?
Maybe it's because the failures of socialism tend to loom over muh healthcare omg we live like two years longer on average than the americans because they shoot each other too fucking much lmao suck it!!!
>>2356073
don't even bother making these threads, all you'll get is helicopter memes and "kill the commies lol"
>>2356085
Sometimes I wish we could have an educated discussion on socialism. All you seem to get is epic /pol/ may-mays and psudohistoric capitalist propaganda.
It is a bad idea to get a degree in Philosophy/Political Science/Psychology/History/etc. online from a decent-tier State Uni? The degree just says the Uni and doesn't say anywhere it was acquired online.
As long as your self motivated.
College is a joke either way.
depends on what you want to do with a degree. If you're just generally interested in the subjects, don't waste your fucking money with anything but cheap online courses and lectures or just studying the material yourself. If you want to get a career that requires a degree in that field, then a legitimate degree online or otherwise is probably a better idea
>>2355783
Just for fun? If you have the extra scrap, sure why not? Having extra degrees is good for resume padding as well.
As a main degree? Fuck no. Waste of time, money, and paper.
What are some historical examples of aggression not standing?
Really, most times somebody fucked with the US and thought they wouldn't get raped.
WW1, WW2, Korea, Panama, Bosnia, Iraq.
A lot of US military history is
>what are you going to do, stab me?
on a national level.
>>2355600
What did Panama and Bosnia do to threaten the US?
>>2355606
Iraq invaded Kuwait, which was a threat to the international oil supply.
During the Cold War the USA had plans to go nuclear if the USSR had done that.
if African American slavery never happened in the 1700s, would the civil rights and immigration problems of modern America and Europe not be happening right now?
>Civil rights
Probably not as those African Americans were the central focus of it.
>Immigration
Assuming the scenarios remain the same minus black people in America, I can't see how this changes in any way. Especially in Europe.
>>2355025
Europe never had much of a problem with blacks like americans. Germans treated black american soldiers better than their american countrymen after ww2
>>2355042
I figured since civil rights became prominent with black americans and their 'fight for equality', that now there's a fight for the equality of refugees, and I figured that fight for refugees wouldn't be happening without black history
maybe not in Europe, I don't how the civil rights movement of the 60s affected them
What does being a "progressive" actually mean? When a progressive accomplishes all of his goals and wishes to maintain them does he turn into a conservative? What will be considered progressive 100 years from today?
>>2354821
"""Progressive""" is a meaningless buzzword invented to make liberal policies seem inherently good since how can """PROGRESS""" be bad????
>>2356920
>meaningless buzzword
the term is over 100 years old kiddo
>>2356925
Age doesn't give something validity. Freudian psychology, for example, is also roughly 100 years old but is widely discredited in almost every aspect by credible and respectable members of that discipline.
Ramses had his people build four identical colossal statues of him all placed NEXT TO EACH OTHER.
Literally, how is it even possible to be that fucking narcissistic and egotistical?
People were so fucking stupid back then.
>>2354641
We're still talking about him 3000 years later, so, mission accomplished?
>lol mom look at me I'd be so rational and prudent if I were raised from childhood as a literal god King why couldn't Ramses be as logical as me :*(
>>2354689
And what good did that do him?
He's still dead as fuck and all of his "achievements" and buildings are fucking irrelevant.
He's dead.
>best writers
>best composers
>excellent scientists
>excellent generals
>most pragmatic engineers
Still a shithole
What went wrong?
>not white
>>2354493
>most pragmatic engineers
That's an interesting way of saying "doesn't give a fuck about safety".
>>2354498
Who cares about safety when you have superior manpower
We're all the Japs in China baby murdering rapists? Surely there's a number of soldiers and officers who opposed or spoke out to the war crimes.
All I ever hear about the Nips in WWII is that they're savages who gave no shits about human life.
>>2353739
Nip military had this rather interesting feature that allowed lower ranking officers to kill their superiors if they didn't show acceptable levels of fanaticism.

Imperial Japan is a hell of a drug.

I'm interested, source?
hitler, himmler and geobles were the biggest arab lovers in history.
They thought the arabs were "aryans" , and their ultimate plan was to mix all germans with arabs.
They wanted every german woman to have children with arabs.
shitler wanted to islamasize and arabize germany and later the entire

The inferior use of English suggests a native speaker though.
If you could absorb the knowledge of 3 intellectuals, and know everything they know, who would you choose? I struggle with this problem, because I often find that absorbing the knowledge of 4 thinkers would be much better.
To me, it seems that absorbing the knowledge of a person like Bertrand Russell, or Harold Bloom, or Karlos Kleiber, or some scientist like stephen hawking, would be ideal. Because that would give me a knowledge of all the fields that interest me; music, philosophy, science, and literature. However, I'm just not sure whether or not these would be the "ideal" choices. I know Hawking is controversial in the scientific community, and is perhaps inferior to other scientific thinkers, just as bertrand russell was a thinker of the early 20th century and is probably bested in many area; and karlos kleiber is a wonderful composer whose interpretations of music seem to be virtuosic in his understanding, but he may not have had the sort of creative intelligence to become a good composer or writer of his own music; much in the same way Harold Bloom may have read the entire western canon, but has never written any fiction because perhaps he lacks the capacity.
Then there's the remaining problem, of only choosing 3 when it's even difficult to only choose 4.
>>2348286
>and karlos kleiber is a wonderful composer
conductor. Forgive me for my brain farts.

Stefan Molyneux, Mike Cernovich, and Styx.
Id pick Barack Obama as one of the three just for the juicy presidential secrets.
Wtf i hate Poland now
>>2342689
The borders for Congress Poland weren't actually that unreasonable.
>>2342689
>i hate Poland now
The world: welcome to the club
>>2342689
Poland is the shitstain of Europe. Even today they are welfare whores that leech of Germany and refuse to uphold their EU obligations whilst screaming "REEEEE you mudslime-loving nazis, gibs more money"
Every country created by America has been a shitstain: Poland, Israel, Kosovo, the list goes on...
I know Hitler and WWII have been beaten to death but bear with me for a second.
What was 'Hitler'?
When you read about his personal life, it's rather simple and ordinary. According to friends, he was rather boring, repetitive, spoke too long about the same topics, had bad breath and general traits of any person. He changed his opinions quite often (particularly around religion) and you get the sense he had no uniform ideology when reading Speer. When you read what Goebbels and Himmler thought of him, you get the sense of a false love or admiring of 'Hitler'. As though he was a vice or catalyst to achieve their own ends. Goebbels explicitly does this in his diary entries when deriding Hitler for his criticisms of socialism to then saying "I love him" the next after a meeting.
Is that what Hitler was? A vice?
Certainly his speeches were well made, I doubt anyone could deny that but is there anything interesting about him beyond that? He's almost entirely blank in facial expression, not in a sense of withholding much but in a sense of not withholding anything.
Can this be what categorises Nazism as a farce?
It seems to me Hitler was a sort of spiritual figure that was necessary for the cultural firment of the time. He was the glass into which others poured their ideas.
What do you think?
I always thought because he was a military intelligence guy in WWI he was good at manipulating people.
>>2357658
>hitler was a person
Its almost like he wasnt a cartoonish villain
>>2357738
That's the thing.
He is seemingly a person when reading about his personal life but simultaneously no person at all. He's not a complex or universal figure either.
He just can't be placed and that's neither a good or bad thing. Simply confusing.
how did the worst people in the world create the greatest economic recovery in human existence?
Because they were the good guys.
That is not America.
Keynesian economics
Hey there /his/torians, I'm looking for a good history podcast. Anything you enjoy I may very well enjoy also. However, here is what I have in mind.
I'm thinking like a Roosterteeth style podcast, group of friends, funny banter. Just something to put on while I play Total War.
Maybe kind of a Drunk History vibe?
>This mother fucker, Napoleon, let me tell you-
>Fuckin' Ceasar jokes with them about getting them all crucified once he-
So on. Stuff to keep me awake, and entertained.
Thanks guys.
The Lesser Bonapartes is a mix of History of Rome style info with friends fucking around. You get facts, dates, events, etc along with goofy dick jokes and 80's movie references.
>>2357275
These are not really what you're looking for since they're all 1 man shows but Dan Carlin's Hardcore History is phenomenal, it's a one man audio book that is damn impressive. Mike Duncan's History of Rome and Revolutions are phenomenal. History of Rome goes through the history of the Western Roman Empire and Revolutions goes through different revolutions with each "season" or "series" being a different one. 10 Byzantine Rulers is also amazing, I forgot the name of the guy, or if it's 10 or 12 but it's similair to History of Rome, same guy does a podcast on the Normans
>>2357390
Yeah those are pretty much what I found through google. I'll begin listening to Dan Carlin, trust me. I just find it odd that there are so few historical podcasts consisting of friends dicking around. Maybe I'll have to start one some day. Thank you very much good sir.
