They lived under communism and are European, they should be secular like Albanians or Bosnians.

Why are high profile criminal defense attorneys who charge $5000 an hour to defend known criminals not recognized basically as reprehensible amoral sociopaths? Why do they always dress themselves up as humble servants protecting the civil rights of poor oppressed crime bosses?
>>2358517
due process
>>2358517
Everyone has a right to a fair trial no matter how reprehensible their crimes. That is what this country stands for with our Constitution.
This japanese mango about chinks has taught me that in ancient warfare, killing the opposing general would make the enemy forget their superior numbers and give up. Is this accurate?
Was that you in the /a/ thread the other day? Anywho:
Only sometimes. Other times the army would become so enraged by their general's death they would fight to the death with little regard to tactics. It all depends on how important that one general was to troop formation and fighting will, as in an army entirely of conscripts might surrender or flee while a seasoned troop might remain together and keep fighting albeit with worse tactics.
>>2358497
It can also be about politics, where the head of an army is the only thing keeping a disparate alliance together, and his death would mean the various forces he'd gathered have absolutely no reason to continue fighting. They might even have an incentive to retreat as fast as possible to take advantage of the political shakeup that would invariably follow.

Kingdom actually goes into detail on your very question.

I could be; Sometimes maybe. A lot of the times

This is a good thread

The West's various culture wars between atheism/agnosticism/deism and Christianity lasted centuries but accumulated with complete defeat of Western Christendom in the mid 20th century IMO. This is a mistake because a society can't run on a shallow, godless society controlled by a technocracy.
It's finished half of the time people claim it never existed as a distinct entity the other half of the time people are actively working to destroy everything about it as a matter of pride.
An idea I'd like to steal from /k/; ask questions here that don't deserve their own thread. Hopefully if this takes off, it'll lower the amount of one sentence question threads that get 4-5 replies.

Austrian Economics = Autistic Economics
Analytical Philosophy = Autistic Philosophy
>>2358033
Austrians arent autistic they are just suck in the age where Austrian economics was mainstream-pre-1920s. Most post 1950 Austrian thinkers were definitely autistic though
>>2358665
Austrian economics was never mainstreram, it's such obvious bullshit that no nation has ever been stupid enough to enact it.
I'm an atheist, and I have some theological arguments about the properties of the Christian God, presupposing his existence, and Sola Scriptura.
How serious will my arguments be taken by the Christian community considering I'm an atheist? Should I just pretend to be a believer?
if you're talking to some kind of scholar I'm sure they'll take your argument very seriously despite your disposition.
>>2358009
OK. The only one I've had the time to try it out on was a Jehovah's Witness, since they talk to you no matter what. After two meetings, with him talking to his congregation in between, he stopped being a Jehovah's Witness. Not to toot my own horn, but he also seemed sort of impressed by my arguments. So I guess that counts for something.
I wouldn't take your theories about hot opinions written as religion very seriously.
But then again I'm gnostic, instead of faith on a piece of paper I derive my opinion from my experiences, as I've had spiritual experiences, I can with them form a better opinion.
I discarded the bible btw, gnosticism made the more sense given all my experiences.
How accurate is this?

What's the verdict on the Turan/Ural-Altaic theory? Is it true? Are Hungarians and Finns actually Chinese?
>>2357816
Dumbass, just because someone is in china, that doesn't make them chinese. Also, the whole familt is in dispute, while we know that the tungustic, mongolic, turkic and uralic languages are related to their own family trees, there hasn't been much evidence linking all the families together, especially uralic to the other three.
>>2357816
lad that map does not even include Chinese in to the Ural-Altaic group.
Turan is a state of mind.
Uralic people are thus Turanians if they take the Turan-pill.
Besides, there's definitely no lack of connections.

Reading up on my Ancient Near East history, who should I be rooting for?
It seems like the Neo-Assyrians are pretty nutty and violent so they seem like a fun choice.
Israel.
They were pretty much the only good force in a degenerate pagan world, until Christ came along.

Why wasn't italian mafia culture glorified in the 30s like nigger gangsta culture is today?
pic kinda related
>>2357097
It was, relative to the day. Especially in major cities. They just didn't have mass media.
It's almost as if the overwhelming majority of Italian immigrants were hard working wage slaves who were often the primary victims of the mafia and tried to distance themselves from them before they became a meme in the 80s or something...
Coincidentally work a day blacks suffer the most from the local crack dealing set but for some reason side with them because of muh institutional oppression or whatever.
>>2357097
You never seen gangster movies? You think people joined the mafia for no reason and the mafia was totally uncool?
Was autism as widespread in earlier centuries as nowadays? What would autism have looked like in middle ages?
Women used to actually get impregnated at prime breeding age in the past instead of dying their hair purple and getting sociology degrees, so no, autism didn't exist.
>>2357067
>>2357071
Women kept having children until menopause because muh hands around the farm, muh infant mortality and muh marriage alliances. Also, a lack of rubbers.
So it's conceivable (no pun intended) that lots of autists were born, probably as runt children when the mother was older, unlike fetal alcohol oafs who were probably evenly spread in terms of birth order.
Sperglords probably ended up in the church as friars or, if rich, as priests. I know there's a traditional amongst the posh that thanks to primogeniture, the eldest inherits, the next eldest goes into the army or navy, and the youngers go into the professions or the priesthood.
It's no wonder the church uniform for friars and priests are basically medieval trenchcoats and LARP costumes. The church was paradise for speed, a place where they get to chat about their favourite superheroes in a highly structured environment where they don't have to pay attention to social cues.
>>2357900
Considering more autist are drawn to atheism that doesn't seem to be the case.
