Cavalry had very few successes in WW2. Most of the time they were obliterated by superior firepower.

Help me with my unbelief /his/. I want to believe in Christ and his word, but I struggle with many doubts. The following are some skeptic objections. Can someone please answer them?
Christians can't argue for God of the bible, all they can argue for is the existence of some deistic God or first principle (Aquinas and Bill Craig are the prime examples of that), and hope that if they can establish that, then it follows that everything else in the bible is true, when in fact it's not the case.
The scientific evidence seems to contradict the biblical account, and all Christians can do when trying to defend the bible, specially the OT, is either a) take the fundamentalist approach and claim that science is wrong and scientists are out to get them; or b) claim that some (never specified) portion of the OT is metaphorical. a) is very unlikely and conspiratorial and b) why should a book of metaphors, (and this one in particular) be an objective, authoritative guide?

It takes anyone with a lick of history who has read the gospels to realize the Trinity and the divinity/eternal presence of Christ makes no sense and have no basis within the Bible besides the politicized jottings of men who never met Jesus.
