I'm looking to join the master race. I want to max everything out at 1080p60 for the next 5 years, no compromise.
Is this a good build? Are there any savings I could make? I'm mostly skeptical of the mobo.
I'll be picking up a 1070 later when they're actually available. Tempted to get a Founder's Edition because I'm impatient but nah.

You could save on the case, keyboard and mouse. Could probably get away with a lower wattage psu aswell. Thermal pate probably comes with the cooler.

I'm looking to purchase a replacement type keyboard for my Surface Pro 2, but these things are fucking worth a decent mechanical keyboard priced around 60-150$. and all the third party surface keyboards look like shit.
is there any way to repair this keyboard (half the keys don't work)? should I just get a compact wireless keyboard? should i just buy it?

Just bought one of these shits off of Amazon. What can I expect?
Backstory: I upgraded to an s7 edge the other day and checked out the goggles at the AT&T store. I have money to burn so I figured why not
I'm planning on rooting my phone tomorrow as well to flash the stock rom and to potentially pirate some shit for the vr, which brings me to another question.
Is it possible to torrent all the stuff I saw in the AT&T demo version and then enjoy it all for free or is there some kind of fuckass safety they've got going on that will force me to pay?
What are your thoughts on the goggles in general, /g/?

Vulkan or OpenGL?
OpenGL has the massive advantage of the existence of WebGL, allowing you to run online applications with incredibly fancy graphics, but if Vulkan is less weird to work with then it might win me over.
Undocumented WebGL functions that alter variables without you ever using an equals sign is really confusing.

Is there anything wrong with getting a Chinese knock-off power adapter? I need a 90W 20V AC Adapter for my ThinkPad docking station. Does it matter if I get a fake one with the same specs versus a genuine Lenovo brand adapter? I just don't want my machine to go up in flames because I cheaped out.

They're supposed to be clipped on the fan vents to help extract hot air.

well, don't be surprised, a Pi is several orders of magnitude more powerful than a 1990 computer, same with smartphones. Tech is amazing, isn't it?
Also don't let people tell you the pi is a piece of perfection either, there ARE a lot of caveats to them. I can say anecdotically that using any Video-intensive stuff eventually ends in frustration (though I haven't used the Pi 3 -- I think that should solve a lot of its video problems).
Stuff like normal web browsing is almost impossible on a 512 meg pi as a whole too, for example.
I think that it really excels when you put it to the test with an specific application, domain or intent. I use one in an arcade machine I built, and I did a LED lightshow. As long as you don't need the GPU stuff (no GUI, no HD video) you're good.
