Why the hell is iTunes so big?
>>56080963
DRM, bloat, tutorial images/videos, Apple cannot into programming.
>>56080963
Because everything on windows essentially bundled with or statically linked to all its necessary libraries.
>>56081126
This.
>he still uses bitcoin
How the fuck else would I pay for my private army and child slaves
>>56080826
don't forget your hardcore drug addiction
>not using GameStop
ITT we write an average day in the diary of an Arch user. I will begin:
Dear diary,
install gentoo
pacman fucked up my xorg.conf again
The end.
With Google working on daydream VR and Apple working on AR...will Apple blow android out of the water with a user friendly augmented reality or has Apple failed? Or is Apple just dormant? They're working on the automotive industry and AR. They're being suspiciously quiet.
I'm tempted to move to android and see what Google has going on with the Daydream ready phones.
tl;dr who will make the best high-end cell phone with new visual tech?
Phones are fast enough. Nothing they can do except wireless charging from across the room or holograms.
Apple sucks when they try to do anything but make stuff look pretty
>Siri
>Maps
Hopefully Microsoft will win the AR race.
Help, my pc doesn't start; what do ?
Take a better fucking picture.
remove lava from floor
That's fucking disgusting. Get the fuck outta here.
hey /g/ I have an audio quesion. I recently a pair of Wharfedale Diamond II speakers, I think their from the early 90's. The reciever I have, an AKAI AA-1040, is 40 watts per channel, but the speakers say 100w on the back. Will my reciever be able to power them sufficiently?
bump
>TLDR: will 40w amp power 100w speakers?
>>56081190
yes
100W is the maximum rating of the speakers, anything below 100W (peak i presume) will drive them without breaking them.
the 40W amp should be good
now delete the thread please.
>>56080535
>86db sensitivity
Unless you like to really rock out in a large room, you should be fine. But you will probally run into clipping if you turn the volume up too much. Really, the important consideration is if your amp can supply enough amperage. You can damage tweeters by underpowering them also. It's really boarderline in this case.
What the fuck is happening with this GPU?
It will run fine for a while, but then suddenly:
>screen shuts off
>windows "error" alert sound is heard
>the fans go to 100%
And I have to restart the computer
Is this a driver issue, or should I just send the card back?
>>56080462
also, sorry for asking here but this card is way too new and there's no forum posts with the same issue
>>56080462
>it just gamewerks
Memes aside, run safe mode and run DDU, reboot and install newest drivers. May be a lemon though.
Just gave a 480 guy the same spiel last night. Hand always held millennial fucks.
>>56080462
Honestly just return it if >>56080524
doesn't work and get a 980ti for less
They're pretty much equivalent cards even if the 980ti does require two 8 pin connectors. If you can afford to buy and spend time using hardware I'm sure you can afford to power it.
Dear /g/, how can video of this resolution actually look this good?
>>56080441
It's shit. Please get your eyes checked.
probably made by yify's friends
Please stop posting on this board
:D
:D
When did Microsoft start going downhill?
I think back to the glorious days of the original Xbox, Windows XP and compare it to now with Windows 10, Xbox One, and Microsoft phones and realize how so much has changed for the worst.
>>56080378
>glorious days of the original Xbox, Windows XP
XP was pretty good but the original Xbox sucked. That's why it was the poorest selling console that generation.
>>56080378
Probably around windows 8, so about 2012
when they replaced the workforce with indians
>Be me.
>Watching Robot Wars,
>Winners are pretty much the same as 10 years ago.
>Flippers and shovels always win.
Pretty pointless really.
>>Be me
Pretty pointless really
Not technology this is more /tv/
I was hoping to see some upgrades in the use of technology but it's still the same old crap.
>He doesn't program in Atom
Do you even enjoy programming, /g/?
>inb4 atom is le resource hog meme
>over 150 mb for a fucking text editor
no thanks
>>56080308
OK you triggered me. What the fuck does that matter? Are you that autistic? you probably have 16gb ram of that 10gb unused and you're bothered by 150mb?
>>56080300
>using atom when sublime exists
How can I get through a phone verification without a phone? i just need to be able to get a SMS to verify and fool sites into thinking it's a real phone
Insert a dildo into your asshole
Give it back, LaPrince

got some jokers on 4chan do we?
http://supforums.com/thread/55645307/technology/remember-by-using-debian-you-support-liberal-sjw.html
Is this some ponzi ad-scheme? Some guy is archiving every 4chan threads, changed the site format to look like a standard forum with real names, and is someone how profiting off of it.
>>56080263
Like sheeky forums
>>56080618
http://4archive.org/board/qa/thread/339123
Indeed. It even has the same layout
>>56080674
I bet it's the same asshole behind the sheeky forums shit. He needs another visit, Who's gonna do it this time?
With the emergence of U.2 and M.2 NVMe SSDs (which don't suffer from SATA's 6 Gbps bottleneck), PCI-E SSDs are becoming more mainstream.
But, here's the problem.
Because Intel is using the number of available PCI-E lanes as a differentiator between mainstream (e.g. Haswell) and enthusiast/workstation (e.g. Haswell-E) lines, you can only have so many PCI-E storage drives on mainstream PC before they eat into PCI-E lanes for GPU (a single U.2 connector uses 4 PCI-E lanes).
Will Intel stop being a Jew and add a half a dozen PCI-E lanes to the mainstream line in the future (Kaby Lake, Cannonlake, etc.), or will be faced with having to choose between having dual GPU or more than one SSD?
Dual gpus are and always have been a meme for rich assholes.
>>56080223
You don't need that many storage and gpu devices
>>56080223
with z170, you get 20 pci-e lanes
and an x8 pci-e gen 3 connector won't bottleneck even a titan video card, that gives you 12 pci-e lanes for meme storage, you will never notice the difference of an nvme ssd over a sata ssd in daily driver usage, for actual work loads, yea you'll notice, but at that point your computer should be making your money, via rendering your end product
