recommend me a good sound card up to $60
>>56914341
There is no reason to make a $60 sound card. If you want something better than built-in you're going to have to pay a lot more.
>>56914364
i have problems with my onboard sound so i gotta buy a new sound card to fix that

how good is asus xonar dgx?
>>56914386
Should be good enough, but you can go for Creative Audigy 2/SE/FX as well. ASUS Xonar DX is better, tho.

What's your opinion on SwiftOnSecurity?
tongue in cheek celebrity obsession is a-ok
go away aloria
/g/ is a linux territory, she won't come here.
Should I get a macbook pro retina now or wait till the 2016 version is released? I don't really like how they took away the sdcard slot which means no more additional storage space and the USB 3.0 ports. Sure it's will be a lot slimmer but I have no idea whether that's a good tradeoff
>>56913972
Get the 2015 one once the 2016 is released
Or get another thicc laptop like a business laptops of dell or lenovo
>>56913972
wait few more weeks. new one will be out soon.
>>56914043
Was considering them but I think it's better for my design course since everyone in the industry uses a mac and it would be a good way to get used to it
Daily reminder that the only reason laptops are so thick is the headphone jack.
>>56913971
don't
>>56913992
what did he mean by this?
While we're at it, can we get thinner headphones?
I don't actually listen to anything on mine, so you can just take out all the internals and leave them light and sexy looking.
Sup /b/, what do you do with your phone when they're basically a brick now?
build a wall
>>56913987
kek, have you ever try to bring it back to life?
use it as a phone?
you know they turn on right?
If you broke it, then either disassemble it for practice and spare parts or throw it. In both cases get a new one. If you were happy with what you got before get the same again, after all you have spare parts for that.
What tools do you guys use to develop interactive websites?
What are the best places/ways to learn how to develop interactive websites?
codecademy is shit
Jabbascrip
If you think on it as artistic or creative you should know that creativity isn't taught. They provide you a language or tools to create with and show you how the tools are used. After that, it's mostly about you applying the kinds of interactions you want.
If you don't know what kind of things count as interactive or what kind of things an interactive website needs to have you're pretty much asking someone to hand you some code and let you fuck around with it.
If so, just right click view page source on some interactive website.
use whatever they used for an ide.

I want to learn how to develop sites, yet I want to release this site quickly.
I need at least a decent understanding of javascript, html, css, php, and sql for what I'm trying to do. I have rudimentary knowledge of these. I suppose I ought to just take it one step at a time. create the layout, then interactions, then revise security
This will be a long process though which is why I'm asking for advice.
Anyone fell for this meme????
I remember when it was released, there were a lot of shills on /g/ pushing this garbage.
Well, now it's dead and no one seems to give a fuck about it. That says it all about how popular this pajeet-tier crap was.

Aren't all these fitness bands fads? I know FitBit doesn't even have a correct calorie counter.
>>56913883
kinda like that but has way more features.

It was the only device at the time that could tell you which excerise was most potent for your body. I dunno if any of the other devices do that now.
What's the first thing you do when you get a cell phone, /g/? Debloat? Root? I've been wanting to root my Note 5 but I'm worried I'll brick it. What's some of the first shit to get rid of and install?
I love my note vanilla though, took me about a week to decide if I should go with silver or gold. I went with silver and couldn't be more happy with it.
I hadn't recently been following phones but I loved my rooted note 2 but fucked it up in a freak puddle accident. Went to get a new Note and saw it had been recalled for being a grenade and was slightly out of budget so I went with 6 and adore it. I'm really wanting to root it too but I know nothing about Knox and I've read more horror stories than I'm usually comfortable with. Sorry for blogging.
>>56913783
Root + Custom ROM right after unboxing.
I refuse to use unrooted android because i can't do anything and the only decent stock ROM i experienced was the moto g 1st gen, every other phone i had was full of bloat and stupid shit.
>>56914210
Is there anything to worry about with Knox, bricking or permadamage?
did any of your hardware die recently?
My 7970 sadly started artifacting after years of normal use and around 4 months of 24/7 mining Litecoins at 90°C back in like 2012.
I'm surprised it held up that long.
Replaced it with an RX 480 until big Vega is released and it seems like I won the silicon lottery with it.
Runs absolutely stable at 1425MHz core at 1100mV and 2200MHz vram at 1000mV

>My 7970 sadly started artifacting

I fucking HATE when that happens.
Every little graphics glitch makes me thing my GPU is about to shit the bed soon.
Actually, yes. My 6 year old laptop that I upgraded every single piece of hardware from stopped responding to the power key yesterday. Won't turn on and the led that indicates that it's plugged in doesn't work either. The led that indicates that the battery isn't charging does still work though. I checked the power button, but it seems to be fine, so I guess I'll have to go and get a new motherboard for it.
I don't mind that much though, I've been wanting to put a new motherboard in anyways since I want one with a better graphics chip and without a messed up USB port.
I'd hate it if I wouldn't be able to fix it though.
why does min sys req with each iteration of a given OS keep increasing significantly when OS aren't inherently more useful now than they were most versions ago.
Fancy animations and graphics.
>>56913722
Don't say baka things
It's because of the default shit the OS has, just see Lubuntu vs Kubuntu

Google is using JavaScript to program their GUI in Fuchsia. Does this give you some clue?
What is better? Working for Google as a software engineer for 12 to 16 hours a day and making bank, or working as the IT guy for a small company, with a maximum workload of a couple hours per day, but for a much smaller paycheck?
I'd like if some of you had worked in both of these situations and what you liked more. Pic unrelated.
>>56913702
This is really subjective and not exactly tech related, more like advice. What you're asking is essentially:
>Tell me what I should seek in my life, I need constant guidance and confirmation from others to feel like I'm worth something.
>>56913702
Do you have expensive taste? Do you gravitate towards things that cost more?
>>56913742
I'm just asking for feedback
>>56913764
No, I'm a cheap fuck. But I'm wondering if working at Google is really more "fulfilling" or if that's just horsehit.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro is capable of getting 4G LTE in America via T-mobile. Just change the APN name to fast.t-mobile.com.

recommend me a new mid case so i dont have to look at this disgusting piece of trash anymore
computer is black/blue themed
That's a decent case tho
if how it looks bothers you so fucking much, tuck it away out of sight.
>>56913267
I like that case.
Is there anything this company does that is actually good, other than the search engine? And speaking of that how come it hasn't been surpassed yet? It's literally the only thing keeping Google afloat.
Most tech companies are fucking one trick ponies, prove me wrong.
>~1gb/s dl speeds with google fiber
I fail to see how thats not a good thing
I like Google+

Basically, a slightly lesser botnet than Microsoft.
