Is there anything this company does that is actually good, other than the search engine? And speaking of that how come it hasn't been surpassed yet? It's literally the only thing keeping Google afloat.

Most tech companies are fucking one trick ponies, prove me wrong.
>>
>~1gb/s dl speeds with google fiber
I fail to see how thats not a good thing
>>
I like Google+

also this:

>>
YouTube (mostly)
internet service
electronic mail
cloud storage
word processing
spreadsheets
presentations

Basically, a slightly lesser botnet than Microsoft.
>>
>gmail
>android
>cloud
Google has a variety of income streams just like every other big company out there.
>>
>>56913307
>Youtube
Youtube was better before google bought it
>Internet service
>Emai
Ye
>Cloud storage
>Office
Literally nothing new, they jumped on that bandwagon

Yes botnet indeed

and?
we're talking about things that make Google money, not that some faggot from 4chan considers good
>>
Google also runs the massive private information vacuum that is Google Adsense. They use that data to feed you their shit ads. Thank god for AdBlock.
>>

It's really not a very good search engine. It's a "suggest" and SEO engine.

Youtube is alright, usually. Their R&D is pretty sweet.

>Youtube was better before google bought it
name a thing that was technological better back in 2005

Change is bad anon. I enjoyed beating it off in the 90s to jpegs with 5ppi that I waited the whole day to download. Then these faggots showed up and gave me 1080p loli hentai that I can either stream or download in a few minutes on my 8Tb NAS I use for all my porn needs.

That's why amerifats are so happy, they're stuck with '00s speeds and infrastructure.
>>
>>56913173
What? Search engine keeping them afloat? Not really, advertisement infrastructure is keeping them afloat. Actually not just keeping them afloat it has launched them to the stars, everything else just traps to feed more people into their chain.

Most tech companies are built on one trick but Google's trick has changed since their foundation.

>>56913527
Did you read the OP?
>>
>>56913173
The search engine hasn't been surpassed because it has been adopted and is totally embedded in commerce infrastructure.

They also have youtube. But for a one trick pony that's a hell of pony.

Do you use duckduckgo or bing? Or do you use google. Think about it.

Google is one of the most diversified tech giants. the amount of fundamental R&D they invest in is ridiculous. most of their investment is in fundamental AI research. they broke a long-standing milestone for the field this year when DeepMind beat the best human go/baduk player in the world, which had been a goal for ~2 decades
>>
Botnet aside (which is an inevitable consequence of what they do) they have a very complete ecosystem where all their services are tied together and very well integrated. Having a Google account means you can easily access and share files, 'likes' etc. across devices. If you wanted, you could pretty much use Google-only services and never feel like you are missing out on anything. Facebook being the exception that confirms the rule.
Giving their services for 'free' also means it is accessible to everybody.

>word processing
>spreadsheets
>presentations
all of them is shit tier
>>
Mostly Drive/photo/music. Amazing centralization

data mining
