Is there a decent replacement for this app? It was top of the line but it went to shit after Google bought it.
I loved its simple and intuitive interface and the alarm puzzles were the absolute best.
Sleep as Android
>>56916604
Shit and overcomplicated interface. And the sleep puzzles are garbage.
>>56916623
>And the sleep puzzles are garbage
I have to disagree with you there. I think solving complicated math problems at 4:30 in the morning is the best kind of puzzle.
>software should be free because when i was at university in 1977 paying $100 tuition we traded 50 line shell scripts between ripping bong hits

Actually the Free Software movement was founded because of proprietary printer drivers,
and that issue is more current than it was then.
See HP's latest bullshit with ink cartridge DRM.

Fucking casual GTFO
>>56916552
>Forbids routers, access points or hosting any wireless hotspots
The reasoning behind that is probably that dozens or hundreds of "rogue" WiFi hotspots interfere with and slow down their own WiFi infrastructure that is tuned for minimal interference.
Setup a cheap Windows PC, share its connection with your router, via Ethernet cable.
The router should run OpenWRT.
Now install an OpenVPN client on the router.
Now connect your GNU/Linux devices to said router.
Why is it not okay for Microsoft to have a monopoly of the desktop OS market, but it's okay for Linux to have a monopoly of the supercomputer OS market?
Well linux isn't a company so it can't be a monopoly.
Might as well say that water monopolises the ocean. Yeah it will, it's the fucking ocean
>>56916367
Because the fascist government can control Microsoft by threatening their profit dollars, but Linux is run by a nonprofit foundation, so they are truly pure and free.
>>56916367
Linux is not a corporation and no one forces the scientists to install Linux on their computers.

I'm trying to practice if statements in C and I've ran into a small problem.
I'm trying to make a program which just keeps asking my friend yes or no questions I'm able to get the if statements to work for the first answer but when I write out the second one the program just finishes instead. This is what I have so far. I took out the if statement for no just till I can figure out how to make it print "I'm glad to hear"
Whenever I try to google it all I find is things dealing with just the first if statement.#include<stdio.h>
#include<stdlib.h>
int main(){
char y;
char n;
char ans;
char ans1;
printf("Hi\n");
printf("Do you think we can just have a conversation when all you can say is y or n? y/n\n");
scanf("%c",&ans);
if(ans=='y'){
printf("Of course we can we're BFF\n");
printf("Are you doing well today? y/n\n");
scanf("%c",&ans1);
if(ans1=='y'){
printf("I'm glad to hear");
}
}
system("pause");
return 0;
}
>>56916311
properly indent your code and you'll see whats wrong
>>56916311
>printf("Of course we can we're BFF\n");
printf("Are you doing well today? y/n\n");
Are compilers so good today that people do this? It is prettier I guess...

What is the problem, anon? It is literally just three commands.
Just put it in a bag and use it as a boot USB. I have a little pouch of USb drives each containing different operating systems and tools

Why are people here so against variety?
Why is /g/ suddenly full of encryptards? This board used to be more sensible...
>>56916086
You are on a board that is known to be sensible. Certain ~people~ are known to be trying to subvert certain communities for certain purposes. Suddenly, the sensible board that you know has a huge and very sudden rise in posts/threads that support the positions advocated by ~certain~ people.
What do you conclude?
>>56916128
>What do you conclude
That tripfags must go
>>56916128
Hi there!
You seem to have made a bit of a mistake in your post. Luckily, the users of 4chan are always willing to help you clear this problem right up! You appear to have used a tripcode when posting, but your identity has nothing at all to do with the conversation! Whoops! You should always remember to stop using your tripcode when the thread it was used for is gone, unless another one is started! Posting with a tripcode when it isn't necessary is poor form. You should always try to post anonymously, unless your identity is absolutely vital to the post that you're making!
Now, there's no need to thank me - I'm just doing my bit to help you get used to the anonymous image-board culture!

I recently went to a yard sale and bought an old Latitude E6400 with 2GB RAM, an old Intel 40GB SSD and an first Gen Core 2 Duo, all for 20 bucks.
Is there a lightweight Linux distro that's comfy/ doesn't look like shit? I usually use OpenSuSE Gnome but that won't run on such old hardware I guess. Now I'm considering trying Mate, LXDE or XFCE...
>>56915916
xfce is comfy
Xubuntu or Lubuntu should run on that
It's not THAT old
Yeah, Xubuntu seems to be a good option, even though I frequently read about tearing issues. Read loads of good things about Mate, too.
Hello /g/!
Is Honor 5x a good choice for its price? Is there any worthwhile alternatives?

>OpenJPEG is an open-source JPEG 2000 codec. Written in C language, the software was developed for coding and encoding JPEG2000 images, a format that is often used for tasks like embedding image files within PDF documents through popular software including PdFium, Poppler, and MuPDF.
>Hackers can exploit the security vulnerability by tricking the victim into opening a specially crafted, malicious JPEG2000 image or a PDF document containing that malicious file in an email.
>The vulnerability has been assigned a CVSS score of 7.5, categorizing it as a high-severity bug.
Why are C programmers allowed to live?
