Hey /g/, I am doing my first co-op term in January and have had offers from seven different companies for software developer jobs.
I am most interested in mobile development and have built a few iOS apps.
My top three choices are:
- A 100 person company paying 3750 a month doing web development
- A 30 person company paying 2600 a month doing iOS development
- A 6 person startup paying 1900 a month doing mobile development. For this job they are building their own product that has hardware, software and cloud components.
I am most interested in working with the 6 person company but 1900 is really low for pay. I am not that desperate for money but I am wondering if the experience of working with such a small company will be worth the less amount of pay

I would go with the 100 person company. If it's a reputable company it would go great with any future resume. Not to mention you can make more personal contacts within the company (extra computer work = money) and to work your way up the ladder. Plus there will always be something to do which will prove your usefulness.

Is now a good time to buy GTX 1080? I know AMD Vega comes out in a few months, but it's supposed to be a very high-end card in a much higher price range than 1080, so I don't think Nvidia will significantly lower the price

Today I was arguing with my friend about the iPhone 7. I told him it was shit and a waste of money because it doesn't have a headphone jack.
He said that if I absolutely need a headphone jack then it's not for me and thus I wouldn't be buying it, and that I had no argument. People who are ok with the removal of the headphone jack will buy it.
