how viable is a mini-itx for gaming? i've built mid-tower sizes all my life and really wanna try and go for something super small. really love this corsair obsidian case.
just wanna do a basic i5, 8gb ram, SSD, and whatever GPU you guys would recommend for that size that could still hold up for most games. maybe a 1060? also how much more expensive would it be as opposed to if it was just a midtower setup? i have an SSD already and possibly can use the CPU (i5 3570) from my current build.
thanks!

That case is fuck-huge, has compatibility issues with tall GPUs like the MSI ones, has a bigger footprint on the table than an ATX tower, and so is fucking stupid.
Ivy bridge mini-ITX boards will be almost impossible to find unless you buy from china websites.
>>57055234
Gigabyte do a "decent" mini-itx GTX 1060 for relatively cheap, usually about $10-20 less than normal.
As for case, I'd have no clue about Mini-ITX, as I've only ever looked at the tiny as fuck console-tier cases for making people think I'm more autistic than I already am for having a console
what is the pc market going to do to address the memory bandwidth limits that dated consoles have yet cause i7 1080's stutter?
>>57055142
They are just gonna release more console exlusives and then release their shitty ports on pc.
In other words nothing will be done because big $$$ is in consoles and releasing superior pc games make consoles look bad.
>i7 1080s
>>57055174
but why cant pc's just match the memory bandwidth?
this seems like a pretty huge overlook of archetecture which now merely "overpowering" a port isnt possible
Final year cs student, I've pretty much come to the conclusion that there are only 2 languages worth learning which is Python3x and C.
Python for high level general solutions and C for efficient and quick data intensive problem solving.
What resources are there? I often see some pink haired anime girl holding a C book but is it actually good and worth getting a copy in real life?
Thanks.
>>57055108
Your conclusion is pretty stupid.
>>57055116
This
Learn C++, then if you need even more control of your programs learn C
what if you wanted to make a phone app? or maintain a corporate website? or machine learning? or what about financial analysis?
you post is stupid
Now that the dust has settled can we agree Microsoft Edge is the fastest, lightest web browser? Battery life is much better while using Microsoft Edge.
I've done tests on a 6700HQ and an i5 2520M machine playing a movie on youtube in Edge, Chrome and Firefox and when the video is finished Edge has used 19% battery, Chrome has used 27% while Firefox has used 47% battery life on the 2520M while the 6700HQ Edge has used 15%, Chrome has used 24% and Firefox has used 32%. How is this possible? What's the trickery behind it?
Edge also seems a lot more snappier when browsing heavy webpages, it doesn't choke/stutter when scrolling or opening the pages. Do people only hate Edge because of the IE meme? Is it just kids trying to be edgey and call by ripping on Microsoft products?
>What's the trickery behind it?
It's part of the underlying OS code itself so, not a separate application running on top as Chrome/Firefox/etc is.
Think about it.
>>57055086
This new thing where Edge will run in a Hyper-V VM permanently will actually make a significant dent in the security space.
I'm on Win7 so Edge is a non starter. It seemed fine when I did use it briefly. No point in using since there are no addons (ublock/noscript etc).
Look, all I want to fucking do is open a media program, open a video, then STREAM that video to ONE OTHER PERSON so we can WATCH IT TOGETHER
Is that too much to fucking ask?
no that's pretty simple

I responded to a craiglist listing... The person replied two days later at 00:16. Real emails were censored by craiglist. Then the person replied again 4 minutes later on the same email... 2nd reply was still still censored but the text showing the first reply suddenly showed the original email address. (censored in red).
Is this a bug? how is this possible? If I decide reply to this will my email be uncensored to the other person?
I'm a first time craiglist user and this surprises me.

You're kidding me right?
Android developers are niggers.
Besides the fact that you pay the amount of money you could build top-notch PC with it they don't give you root access, void the warranty if you root it and spy on you with their bloatware constantly.
It's what happens when you give FOSS to normies. They fuck.up everything.

So as long as I charge my water resistant Note 7 in a cup of water, it shouldn't catch fire, right?
Problem solved?

I want a cursor that's kinda like a cross hair but has a circle around it.
(Pic clearly not related just needed something)
So get one
>>57054432
Go into your mouse settings change the cursor to off and set the cursor locator to always on. I don't even remember if we can do this, I just know that there's an option for pressing ctrl and having a circle pop up around the cursor. I'd imagine they would give old people the option to always have it on rather than have them toggle shit.
>>57054535
is there an easy way to make a png to a cursor file?
