Hey guys, imnnew to pc building and i just got in everything for my first build besides my gpu(next pay check) however during the initial set up i ran into a huge problem, my mobo shorts when i have the 8 pin cpu connectors plugged in. Without them i get power, the cpu cooler spins and i get a code 00 on the mobo display. No sound at all from the case speaker. Does anyone know what the problem may be? I plan on calling msi about it when their office opens, but its 4am so thats still a few hours away.

Just disable default compositor and install Compton. Grab a Compton config from the internet and place it in /.config/.
Then install a different theme like numix or something. I've been digging paper theme recently.
Default setup is ugly as fuck.
