Any bottlenecks in my system?
My web browsing of all things seem pretty slow these days, don't know if it's my PC or Firefox.
If I have more then 3 tabs it chokes.
Would a full upgrade to DDR4, i7 SL, 1070 make a huge difference?
>windows
found your problem
>>57306920
I have a Xubuntu partition if it gives me any reputation points.
>>57306920

Is there a program which sets an alarm off if the internet connection is lost? Some assholes are messing with the switch outside and I want to get them in the act but they are usually doing it when Im sleeping in the early hours.
pic unrelated
Easiest way is probably using http://automateitapp.com/ or tasker
Write a script that tries pining google.com or something every minute. Log it.
>>57306730
I dont have a phone with android.
>>57306741

Hello /g/, accidentaly factory reseted my phone last night while i was drunk.
Any way to recover my files and contacts?
Is it also possible that I am in guest mode?
Phone is Huawei Honor 6
Install Gentoo
Just restore from your backup. You do have a backup, right?
>>57306736
wish i did.. i'm dumb.
Hey /g/.
I have a web/file/VPN/PBX server.
what else should I add to it?
Gentoo and then make copies of it until the disk space of the server is used up
Nextcloud :3
>>57306790
I dont have enough disk space for my own cloud server. :(
Is my HDD rip? it's only a year old.
>>57306551
bump
hard disk is kill
You're supposed to look at the Health tab, not benchmark it. If the S.M.A.R.T. data is all clear then it could be something else entirely, an issue with the SATA controller(s) on the motherboard, old SATA controller drivers, a bunch of things.
why do only designers get an ergonomic 3:2 screen with great visual fidelity?
I want it, but I don't want the touch screen, PC or memegadget
>I want it
Yes, we know you do, son.
>I don't want the touch screen
Nobody is forcing you to use that aspect, son.
>PC
It's an all-in-one device, son, that's how it works.
>memegadget
Nobody is forcing you to buy it, son.
>>57306542
It seems you missed the point dad, you never were good at technology (or respecting my feelings, why won't you accept chad??). What I'm saying is that I would enjoy the qualities of the screen and it's qualities WITHOUT needing to also buy the PC and paraphernalia attached to it. that's the entire point of my post, it's not that hard to understand
plz respond
5 months ago, I downloaded a Trojan called Rundas!plock. You probably are thinking that I got this downloading porn or cracked games, but that's now how I got it. The trojan is in the code files I downloaded for C++ for Dummies 7th Edition from the http://www.dummies.com/ website. I didn't use a 3rd party site like GitHub or Sourceforge.
This trojan has botnet capabilities according to antivirus sites. Last week, Windows 10 said I had some malware and removed it. I didn't think anything about it. Today, it happened multiple times, so I did a full system scan (that took 24 hours) and found 3 copies of the trojan hiding in PrintArgs.exe in the source code folder for the book. I have been noticing that I have been getting more spam than usual over the past 5 months, particularly from spammers who are trying to get me to sign into my bank account on a fake site to get my info. They got my bank company's name from the botnet. I never got bank phishing scams before 5 months ago.
Windows 10, in 2016, still has shit security, and script kiddies are still infecting it. I used to have Norton, but the subscription ran out some time last year, and I didn't bother to renew it because Windows Defender in Windows 10 was supposed to be good. It's obviously shit.
Microsoft needs to break backwards compatibility to make Windows virus proof like Linux.
>>57306518
I will now attempt to remove the trojan.

Scan your pc with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, usually removes everything. You can uninstall it after that.
>>57306550
I remember that thing having annoying ads.
Any of you fa/g/g/ots know how much this thing is supposed to cost? Also please share any information about this ITT. Please, and thank you.
kys fag lol
>>57306451
no u
It costs twice as a GPD Win, uses a dual-core angry birds processor, has shit specs, is very bulky, and overall just a horrible horrible investment.

Is nVidia Shield a good piece of hardware or just a meme? I'm looking for an 8inch monster to read me some pdfs and don't watch a flimsy piece of shit that slows down after a year of updates like my Galaxy Tab 10
>>57306415
stupid /pol/lack
>>57306415
>I'm looking for an 8inch monster
fucking gay
>>57306429
are you triggered by just a mention of a board name? chillax, bitch.
>>57306437
why?
Is any AIO water cooler worth the price? Or is it just a meme?
Should I get a NH-D15 instead of these overpriced Corsair's liquid coolers?
Also, CPU coolers threads.
>>57306183
Graph shows idle temps.
no active coolers are a meme
passive cooling is the future
>>57306189
So?

Firefox Nightly now has VP9 hardware decoding if you have Maxwell GM206 or Pascal GPU
THANK YOU BASED MOZILLA & NVIDIA
NIGHTLY MASTER RACE
>You also need to use Windows 10 anniversary edition
Chrome has had this for several years.
>>57306670
>using wangblows
>>57306702
>chrome has had hardware decoding that didn't exist in GPUs till recently for years
oh ok
Is it dead? Latest release is from July.
>>57306098
It's not uncommon for Iridium's releases to be few and far between compared to Chromium. You could always use unGoogled Chromium instead.
>>57306104
are there precompiled builds? i really don`t want to download 20 gbytes of data
>>57306098
I like the CGI-logo, reminds me of the early 00s.
I bought an IP camera from eBay. The camera has an IP address. This is not written to the browser on the user interface. I think the wrong firmware. Seeking UART connectivity.
You are doing it wrong, read the fucking manual kid
>>57306086
>The camera has an IP address. This is not written to the browser on the user interface
That isn't how that works.
