If you're on Android, check NewPipe.
how do you refute the "you have nothing to fear If you've got nothing to hide" argument?
what's the purpose of hiding your data from google/other botnet shit, if they're only going to hand it to law enforcement and Not shady people/organizations/businesses ?
Why don't you install cameras in all the rooms of your home and give direct access to all government agencies. Do you have something to hide?
>>57307106
I don't want any "law enforcement" or governamental agency to see my own nekkid selfies.

Go live in a jail
Now that the dust has settled, what does /g/ think about the settled dust?
>>57307054
It's missing "Install Gentoo."
Good post though.
Dust is shit. Prove me wrong.
>protip : you can't.
>>57307112
Dust blocks out UV rays from the sun. UV rays damage plastics and weaken cables. Ergo, dust is good.
anyone else find this more of an inconvenience when checking out? This seems to take longer than a swipe
oh boy here we go
200 post magstripe vs EMV, europe vs US, credit card vs debit card, plastic vs cash circlejerk incoming
>>57307039
It does take a little bit longer than swipe, but I don't find that to be an inconvenience because a couple seconds really doesn't bother me.
And don't give me that "the time adds up!" bullshit, if we added up all the time we wasted on other things then it would still be completely insignificant.

Well predicted, fpbp
I used to love IT and pretty much anything computer related in general. I loved browsing books about circuits, and I had a hobby of collecting classical computers - especially older model macs. Floppy drives, Mac OS, DOS, Linux... I loved all that shit.
But somewhere along the way as I got deeper and deeper into IT as a hobby I began to resent it. It was an obsession for so long, where I would spend huge swaths of time posting on Linux and other tech related forums, browsing tech related websites and blogs, trying out new linux distros, learning (to a limited extent) new programming languages, playing with interesting software, and fiddling with emulators (I'm still pretty interested in emu scene desu)
But the whole tone of discussion about being a reclusive nerd in a dark room started to define me, and maybe it was just coincidence, maybe the stereotype began to embody me because that's just the way things were going... But somewhere along the way I became a recluse who's only source of light was coming from my monitor. I became pasty and unhealthy, neglecting to eat in order to consume more of whatever was happening on the sleepless internet. And then one day it happened... I realized I hate computers, technology, the whole IT field and just about everything to do it. I lost my passion, what I thought was my passion, my reason for living, the thing I wanted to pursue for a career - all of it came crashing down on me like a ton of bricks.
I fucking hate computers now. I hate everything to do with them.
And it makes me feel empty inside.
>>57307014
Here's your problem:
You focused too far on personal gain on it. If you love computers, make a job out of it. I myself work for a system repairman at a local technical center keeping all the Hoop-Dee machines up for new students to test with and hopefully not fuck it up.
Make a paying job out of it, get certified, and you'll be able to improve many people's days as well as make some cash.
I made the same mistake Anon. And now I enjoy my work. Don't let it take you over but don't let what you loved just go. Y'know?
>>57307041
This. If you have the intention to go out and do something with your knowledge, the problem will be resolved.
>when you escape the seemingly omniscient botnet
It's alright OP, it feels bad now, but it will be better. You're just experiencing some temporary withdrawal symptoms.
/g/ I'm freezing out on the streets with only a android phone and a power bank for company tell me how I can stress my cpu to hand warmer levels

So guys, I just found a way to have 50% off for life!
The only problem is that it has to be a brand new account. If you want it, you can contact me via Kik :) I created a new kik account especially for this.
I'm in Europe and I pay 66euros for a year. And my buddy who is in the US pays 72 dollars for a year. I think it's a sweet deal...
