5 months ago, I downloaded a Trojan called Rundas!plock. You probably are thinking that I got this downloading porn or cracked games, but that's now how I got it. The trojan is in the code files I downloaded for C++ for Dummies 7th Edition from the http://www.dummies.com/ website. I didn't use a 3rd party site like GitHub or Sourceforge.

This trojan has botnet capabilities according to antivirus sites. Last week, Windows 10 said I had some malware and removed it. I didn't think anything about it. Today, it happened multiple times, so I did a full system scan (that took 24 hours) and found 3 copies of the trojan hiding in PrintArgs.exe in the source code folder for the book. I have been noticing that I have been getting more spam than usual over the past 5 months, particularly from spammers who are trying to get me to sign into my bank account on a fake site to get my info. They got my bank company's name from the botnet. I never got bank phishing scams before 5 months ago.

Windows 10, in 2016, still has shit security, and script kiddies are still infecting it. I used to have Norton, but the subscription ran out some time last year, and I didn't bother to renew it because Windows Defender in Windows 10 was supposed to be good. It's obviously shit.

Microsoft needs to break backwards compatibility to make Windows virus proof like Linux.

I will now attempt to remove the trojan.

Scan your pc with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, usually removes everything. You can uninstall it after that.
>>
>>57306550
I remember that thing having annoying ads.
>>
>>57306560
I never had any ads but it does beg you to buy the premium version. Just use the trial and get everything removed

>virus proof like Linux
Linux isn't virus proof.
t. linux user
>>
>Windows 10
botnet confirmed
>>
>>57306582
You're right. There are 50 Linux viruses.

Windows has thousands.
>>
>>57306607
Yes, the chance of getting infected on Linux is much smaller, but it's not zero which was my point.
>>
>>57306617
At least it's easy to track suspicious processes. Tho a good cracker thinks about log files and timestamps.
>>
viruses are like STD's, if Linux 'got around' as much as windows I'm sure it'd have a charlie sheen pus dick

Linus is the majority of all operating systems on the planet you fucking FAGGOT!
>>
>>57306700
>Linus

>>57306650
I have seen this many times, but it's not a technical argument, so i don't care.

>being this mad

Sorry I offended your fedoralord kissless virgin weaboo fapping linux ricing neckbearded basement dwelling NEET sensibilities, senpai.
>>
>>57306528
Okay, it's been an hour and it still can't remove it. Should I just delete it manually?
>>
>>57306823
>I'm out of arguments
It's okay, we know
>>
>>57306982
i would just reformat and reinstall windows desu unless you have critical data you need to keep
>>
>>57307015
Why? Nothing is wrong with the computer. It works fine.

I think it might be stuck because its trying to delete 2 pieces of old malware in my backup drives that are archived in zip files.
>>
>>57307027
just delte them if it works fine then

how you said it made it seem like it was serious
>>
Can't trust a compromized system, so unless you're 100% sure that it won't reinfect your system after removing it do a clean install.
>>
just format it pajeet
>>
>>57307088
Not gonna bother.
>>
>>57306982
It took over an hour, but it removed everything.

>C++ for Dummies
imo the for dummies series is garbage and never worth reading.

Literally laughing right now.

DBAN, format, reinstall. All computer users should have backups and be ready to install to bare metal in case of hard disk death, malware or virus.
>>
>>57306640
This is the thing:

Linux: Users usually watch normally over their systems, so hackers have to pay good attention to all detail that might alert a victim
Windows: Intermediate to stupid users, but antivirus software makes the job harder for a hacker to get through (although nowhere near impossible).
Apple: What? A new app for getting free apps on the AppStore? Well why the hell not!

Whisky and Spirits for Dummies was pretty good
>>
>>57307478
well alcohol purchasing / mixing isnt too technical, so i dont see an easy way to screw up a reference book

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
