Comodo Internet Security and Comodo Firewall.

Not free, but not impossible to pirate.
>he buys expensive hardware and all he uses it for is to compile his Gentoo packages so he can get less than %1 more performance out of them
>>57335876
I haven't bought hardware in ages. My last laptops as well as mobile phones were paid for by the company I work for.
Aren't these kinds of perks normal in the US?

Who is this penis provoker? My dick.

She's an admin on lainchan, underage b& iirc and fucking psycho too.
So I found an LG G5 lying on the side of the road, I took it and wiped it, but now it won't let me use it because I need the original google account from the person who lost it. If anyone knows how I could bypass the lock somehow, I would greatly appreciate it.

What do you want to do...?
So /g/, I just found out about AxCrypt, (http://www.axcrypt.net/), I know there is VeraCrypt and TrueCrypt (which has been announced as dead). It seems that AxCrypt is more file encryption than harddrive encryption. Which leads me to the following question, overkill to use both or should I encrypt my harddrive?
>storing files
encrypt your files using ROT13
>>57335647
Why do you need military-grade encryption, OP? What are you trying to hide?
and why is it Hyper.app?
>>57335622
>Hyper.app?
Never heard of it.
>>57335622
>app

Hyper is actually my daily driver
>Put your display to sleep, but not the computer
Go to Automator, create a new Service. Set the input to None, add a Run Shell Script action. Put this inpmset displaysleepnow
Save it, name it something like "Sleep Display Now".
Open System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > Services
Scroll down and find "Sleep Display Now" or whatever you named it. Make a keyboard shortcut, I use Cmd Option \ because it's near the Cmd Option Eject, which puts the entire computer to sleep.

I have "Hot Corners..." turned on in the Desktop and Screen Saver Pref Pane. One of the presets is to blank the screen.
I set it for the bottom-left corner. Roll your pointer there and the display cuts off.

LAN Party General
Share your stories, tips, thoughts and other things about LAN Parties
I'm going to one, Dreamhack. It is supposed to be about 10Gb/s of download speed, but my question is: I have a WD Black, which write speeds doesn't go up 150-200 MB/s. If the 10 000 Mb/s = 1 250 MB/s Am I ever be able to fully taking advantage of this speed? Also, my motherboard only supports 1000Mb/s
What would I need for maximum the use of the internet? One network card with 2 ports maybe? Setting up a RAID 0? Buying all SSD?
>>57335386
My thoughts: You people need to shower before going out
>>57335386
forget it
you're sharing those 10GBs with everyone else
>>57335386
It's a LAN party, not a torrent party you poor nigger.

Fuck everything about python programmers.
This is my first python script, yes it's retarded and unfinished.

Mind sharing?
So /g/, just did some upgrades today. Upgraded from my old FX 6100 to an 8350.
Here's the problem. If you can't see from the picture, the socket temps are pretty much just out of control. Core temperature is alright, and seems stable, but the socket just runs away. This screenshot was taken exactly 1 minute and 30 seconds after I started Prime95. It went from an idle temp of 39/40 to 70 in only a minute and a half. Core temp jumped to 47 and just stayed there solid. The run before that it didn't even get over 40. I've got the 8350 running at 4.4ghz, and I'm cooling it with a Hyper 212 Evo. Without taking the side of the case off and strapping a fan to it to blow on the back of the socket, is there any way to get around this?

Holy shit you're stupid. At least tell me you use this pc exclusively for video rendering

>>57335274
Have you increased core voltage?
>>57335274
why would you ever buy and AMD processor at this point in time?
The command interpreter for the Windows family of operating systems is called Windows Explorer. (It is sometimes referred to as File Explorer or just Explorer.) In the United States vs. Microsoft anti-trust trial of 1998, Microsoft claimed that it was not possible to remove Explorer from the Windows 95 TM operating system without completly breaking Windows.
Assuming that this is true
why do you think Microsoft made the Windows’ user interface so tightly integrated with the operating system kernel?
Because it's not 1980 and people don't want a fucking GUIless operating system you massive faggot
because proprietary software is garbage,
>>57335267
because it was faster that way
